RACE 1 – (5) FREESTARFLIGHT has won 6 of her 13 local starts (and hit board in 3 others) – she had license to
tire a bit after carving out hot fractions last week, but an easier trip could see her return to the winner’s circle. (1) PR
EMIER SWEETALKER arrived from The Meadows, got the “golden barn change” and went on to win her next 2
starts – she wasn’t quite right even before the miscue last start, and has been away 3 weeks since then...definitely a
little risky for tonight, but more than capable if 100%. (7) MILLWOOD BONNIE N has a couple of tighteners under
her belt (after missing nearly 5 months) and may be ready for a bigger effort – she loves to win races, so she’s worth
at least a look if the price is long enough (2) JM BETONSIX put in big late rallies in her first 2 local tries but wasn’t
quite as sharp in her last – willing to include underneath. (3) SALE EL SOL shipped in sharp from Stga. and was ok
here last week – minor share? (6) ATREACHEROUS A figures to be handled conservatively tonight after getting
parked the mile in her last pair – guessing she’ll have too far to come. (4) STAY HAPPY’s lone recent win came at
the bottom level, by a nose – this spot feels a little tough right now. (8) YS SENSATIONAL CITY has done some
good work here in the past but lands in a brutal spot returning from Canada – maybe check the tote board?
RACE 2 – (4) BLUE LOU steps up once more after winning his last pair convincingly but he did beat this class too
back in July – he faces a few sharp ones, but will stay on his team. (3) FUNATTHEBEACH N is certainly feel good
again and brings a 3 race winning streak of his own into this – obviously it would be no surprise to see the classy 10
year old take another. (2) PEACE OUT POSSE saw HIS 3 race winning streak upended last week when he finished
3rd after cutting the mile – the right trip could make him a dangerous threat here. (5) ROCKIN N TALKIN’s last 2
starts at this level produced a win and a close 2nd – definitely a chance he could outperform that 20-1 ML price and
be a player in here. (6) TWIN B DELUXE has continued to race well from tough spots but he lands another very
tough spot tonight – maybe he can rally for a small slice? (1) ODDS ON CAPITALISM won one level down 2 back
but did come up flat in this class last week – leaning elsewhere. (7) OPTICAL ILLUSION N has been good for a
long time, but faces an uphill battle trying to get into play from out here. (8) OHOKA LE BRON N added Lasix last
week, landed on a perfect trip and was a big 10-1 overlay winner – much tougher assignment here, however.
RACE 3 – Tough race! (7) FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE won nearly $250K at 3 but has had the “Four Year Old Blues”
this year, winning just once and banking only $52K– he was freshened up and just qualified in blowout fashion after
a barn change...maybe worth a shot right off the bat? (2) SINBAD N has suffered through a long run of awful posts
but seems to charge home every week anyway – moves inside, drops a bit, and could be very dangerous IF he avoids
any early miscues. (4) LYONS SURFING was claimed 2 back on a night where he delivered an eye-popping 1:51.1
romp from Post 8 – he raced well for his new connections last week (up in class, with a less than stellar trip), and
can make some noise here too. (3) ILIKEMEBETTOR A was a solid 3rd in his local debut despite a first over trip
behind a couple of sharp foes – could be a player here too. (1) REAL WILLEY is a tough call – it feels like he’s
fallen off form, but he’s had some tough trips, facing better – could go either way here with the class drop and rail
draw. (5) MASONS DELIGHT N did upset at this level on 9/4 – not a bad one for longshot fans to consider at that
20-1 ML listing. (8) JAHAN HANOVER rallied nicely for 2nd in his first start back off the qualifier but couldn’t last
on the lead last week, with no excuses – tonight’s draw may limit him to minor spoils. (6) TROOPER L ships in for
very live connections but may be a bit overmatched here.
RACE 4 – (5) MULLINAX has been away for a year but that qualifier suggests that he just may be ready for action
right out of the box – he’s used to facing much better than these, and the tote board should offer some hints as to his
readiness. (3) JET ROCK doesn’t have the best recent form in Canada but he goes from facing the top horses at
Rideau Carleton, to the bottom class here – moves to a sharp barn, adds Lasix, and could be a serious player. (2) EM
INEM HANOVER certainly doesn’t look great in the program right now but he’s been facing better, and his barn
keeps sending out form-reversing winners – don’t dismiss too quickly. (1) RICARDOSHILYSHALLY was an even
4th last week vs. a better field– draws the pole, and should be able to have at least a say. (8) UP THE CREEK seemed
better in his 2nd off the layoff last week (at PcD) and he does have 9 local wins over the past 2 years – ok to consider
at the right price. (7) MIDNIGHT THUNDER will appreciate the drop, but not the draw – may need to wait for a
better spot. (4) PINE BUSH ITALIANO has an anemic 29-0-0-1 local record over the past 2 seasons but his last
couple were slightly better – maybe some minor spoils? (6) THE BEST TYME EVER does have 2 wins here this
year but seems overmatched at the moment.
RACE 5 – (4) PINK RUBY tends to get somewhat ignored at the windows despite already having 7 wins and 8
seconds at Yonkers this year – she’s won 2 of her last 3 starts, catches a pretty soft bunch tonight and may be able to
pick up another victory. (2) MODERNA HANOVER is a fresh face who picked up an even 5th at Pocono last start
racing off a bad date for her new barn – won’t need to be all that much to be a threat in here. (7) THINK AHEAD is
one of the rare underachievers for our leading barn – she’ll probably be handled aggressively (despite the bad draw)
and we’ll see if she’s up for it. (1) YOU BEDA ROCK doesn’t feel like a threat to beat these, but she raced well
enough in a pair of local starts to at least contend for a piece. (3) PROVE EM WRONG will attract some attention
after finally getting an inside draw...but she’s just 12-0-1-0 locally, so insist on a decent price if looking to hop on
her team tonight. (5) LAZARUS GIRL picked up minor checks in her last couple and may be able to do the same
tonight. (6) LYONS MIKI is back in “sluggish mode” – need to see better signs before hopping back in her corner.
(8) WHATINEEDISAMAN threw a better one 2 back but her overall form has been lacking for some time.
RACE 6 – (2) CADILLAC BAYAMA is having a strong 2024 campaign, already with 7 wins and over $100K – he
wasn’t able to get in play from Post 8 in a stakes race in Canada, but returns to a spot where he fits nicely, and could
have a big say tonight. (1) WESTERN ERA has been totally unpredictable from start to start but he’s capable of
beating even better when he brings his best – major threat IF he’s in the right mood. (6) NONE BETTOR A found
some better form with easier at PcD, then was a solid 2nd best behind the streaking FUNATTHEBEACH N last week
– he can be a player here, despite the draw. (5) CAMARA MOMENT was really good when he arrived here this
summer but his last few haven’t been as sharp – the class drop may perk him up here, but you’d need to get a fair
price to use on top right now. (3) TWIN B RISENSHINE has been stuck in terrible spots but is sharper than he looks
on paper – playable for the bottom of exotics, at a good price. (7) MAMBA did excellent work for several starts
upon arrival on the local scene but his form has definitely tailed noticeably recently – tough spots to turn things
around. (4) MARTINS MILLIONS has ability when “right”, but he’d be hard to endorse after finishing distanced
(and pacing 1:58.2!) in his NJ qualifier (hard to even explain how he’s qualified to race off that mile)! (8) SHINE A
LIGHT steps up off a pair of victories but may be hard pressed to replicate that from out here.
RACE 7 – (6) UNRIVALED HANOVER is just 1 for 17 this year but ships down off a close 3rd in an OnSS Final,
and lands in a modest spot – his small barn has really been clicking (1st or 2nd in half of their 40 starts), and he seems
worth a stab here. (2) TEXAS HOLDEM was a winner 4 back then turned in a trio of 4th place finishes, all behind
the very impressive HUMBLE A – logical player. (3) DEALERS TURN has also been doing good things in this
class, and grabbed wins 2 and 3 back – should have a say again tonight. (5) SPRING BLAKE had an equipment
issue last start but us usually good for some late pace – maybe 3rd/4th? (1) ONYX BOVINO feels like he MAY be a
little on the cheaper side, but his Canadian form is solid and he lands in a barn that can pick one up in a hurry –
would be no real surprise. (8) ICACO HANOVER figured to improve after landing in a soft field last week and
almost got home in front– may have trouble duplicating that form from this much tougher spot, however. (7) IDEAL
PAR is winless in 7 local starts draws poorly, and may struggle tonight. (4) SAILORS SHADOW adds Lasix for a
new barn but he’d be hard to back off that shaky form up North.
RACE 8 – (2) IT’S A ME MARIO was freshened up after rallying for 5th in the Aria Pace and kicked home full of
pace in his qualifier (behind a pair of very classy horses) – he knows how to win races, and may offer some value
tonight. (8) VERDUN gets assigned Post 8 again but clearly it didn’t slow him down one bit last week – he goes for
his 6th straight win here...and there’s a real chance he can get it. (3) BIRTHDAY has been very good for some time,
but was done in by brutal trips in his last pair – an easier journey could see him right in the thick of this. (1) HEZ AL
LTHE RAGE N is obviously in career form right now, and probably gets an easy 2nd (to #8) if not overdriven last
week – have to respect his chances for a piece right now. (7) ADAM TWELVE should be brimming with confidence
off a trio of front end wins and his owner is even coming in to drive tonight – very tough spot, though, so insist on a
decent price if looking for him to extend his streak to 4. (4) BLUE HUNT got off to one of his lazy starts last week
and never really got involved after that – same could happen here. (5) FREQUENT IMAGE moves up in class and
does figure to struggle here. (6) TWIN B SEAMONSTER acts like he may need some class relief to show his best.
RACE 9 – (5) ELISES DELIGHT dropped to 20s two back and jogged as the 1/10 favorite – she made a break in
her last and was claimed that night...her new barn has been amazing all year with fresh stock, and we’ll see if they
can win right off the claim with this one too. (4) FRONDEUR is now 5 for 9 here this year, and has 11 wins overall
– she also goes for a new barn tonight, but seems able to thrive for anybody. (8) YUENGLING probably wouldn’t
get a 2nd look arriving from Delaware with overall shaky form and drawing Post 8...but she gets the SAME barn
change that VERDUN got upon arrival, and we saw how that turned out...maybe this mare can elevate her game
dramatically as well? (1) SHOTGUN PERSUASION hit board in her last 3 starts, draws the pole, and would be hard
to leave out of your exotics. (3) ALWAYS BE CITY is capable of beating BETTER than these but for whatever
reason, she failed to function in her first 2 starts off the claim – no clue what to expect from her tonight. (6) ROCKI
NWITHDAVE finished nicely for 5th from an impossible spot last week – maybe she can grab a minor share tonight
too? (7) TUAPEKA JESSIE N is having a tough year but has at least been competitive in her last several starts –
not sure she can overcome tonight’s draw, though. (2) ITTY BITTY is now 18-1-1-2 since returning to Yonkers –
sticking with others.
RACE 10 – (1) ROCK THE BELLES returns from Ohio and lands in a spot well below what he’s used to facing
here – hard to go past tonight, though there certainly won’t be much of a price! (2) SARANAC BLUE CHIP has
been thriving in his Freehold starts, but struggling here at Yonkers (though he’s had some success here in the past) –
feels like a spot where he can find a good effort, and land a good piece. (3) GREG THE LEG didn’t look all that
good in his first start back off the qualifier but he’s used to facing much better, and may be able to bring a much
better effort tonight. (8) ITALIAN LAD N has seen his form suffer thanks to a bunch of bad spots...unfortunately,
he lands in another tonight...maybe he can find a way to land a small piece? (7) STELLAR YANKEE has raced
well here in the past, but is just 9-1-0-0 here in 2024– drawing Post 7 won’t help him to improve on that slate. (5)
JACKS LEGEND N has over $1M in the back but it feels like ages since he’s been that same reliable player – hard
to get too excited off that last Monti qualifier. (6) GAMBLINGTERROR always throws a few form reversals every
year, but this really doesn’t feel like a spot to look for one. (4) FIZZING N has a few decent Fhd. tries recently but is
likely a bit overmatched in here.
