RACE 1 - (4) WINDSUN RICKY rattled off 4 straight wins recently to climb from the bottom level right
up to the Open - he continued to hold his form vs. those classy rivals, and gets some important class relief
for tonight - we'll give him the narrow edge over a rival in a very similar situation. (2) THE REGULATOR
is another who held form beautifully climbing the class ladder, and who should surely appreciate getting a
drop tonight - figures to have a big say here. (3) WALKINSHAW N was knocking on the door in his last 4
local starts and returns from Pocono after just missing over there - not sure he can beat the top pair, but he
does seem next in line should they falter. (7) PEACE OUT POSSE would probably like to be in a bit easier
but he has the speed to establish position even from Post 7, and may be able to add some value to the
exotics with the right trip. (1) BELTANE A is definitely sharp right now but does seem a notch below a
couple of the main players - a small piece is certainly within reach. (5) CHANTEE figures to be sitting too
far back to do much damage with his late rally - probably looking at only a minor share tonight. (6) ROLLI
NG WITH SAM probably needs an easier class (and better post) to be a serious player.
RACE 2 - (4) CERTIFIABLE has been outstanding since joining our leading trainer/driver combination
and would have been the clear choice had he not made only one start over the past 5 weeks - we'll still give
him top billing....but be careful about taking a very short price tonight. (3) NOME HANOVER had been a
mediocre low-level performer in NJ for some time....but he looks like a completely different animal since
being claimed by the Super Siblings on 1/7! He was recently freshened up for a couple of months and his
return effort last week was sensational, breathing fire in the 2 hole (behind DIAMONDBEACH) before
blowing that way in the lane (picking up his first ever Yonkers victory) - just may be good enough right
now to beat these too! (1) LOORRIM LAKE A shows a mixed bag of tries since starting his U.S. career
back in Feb. - on his best, he can be a big threat from this spot...we should learn a little more about him
tonight. (5) OAKWOODNITOWNIT IR was just an "ok" 2nd two back then did find a softer field he could
wire last week - on his best, he'd be very dangerous here....but he does seem a bit off that top form. (3)
SEMI TOUGH was a "life and death" winner 3 back, a no excuse 3rd in his next, and then an absolute
"miracle winner" (after looking hopeless, at 3/5) in his last - others in here just feel much sharper right now.
RACE 3 - (4) NANDOLO N clearly wasn't at his best throughout the Borgata Series but it's not like he was
"terrible" either - he elects not to take a week off and gets right back to work against a field much easier
than he's used to facing...and would be really hard to go against (even at a very short price). (2) GAMBLIN
GTERROR was a very sharp winner 2 back then followed that up with an excellent 2nd behind a classy
front end winner - may complete a pretty short exacta. (5) MY ULTIMATE STAR A finally got to visit the
photographer for the first time in the U.S. on 3/7, and has held his form nicely at higher levels since then -
solid chance to land somewhere in the exotics if the trip goes his way. (6) OUR CORELLI N wasn't on his
game the last 2 weeks but he does get a class drop and the possibility of a wake up call does exist - his best
effort could land him a decent chunk. (1) CAPTAINS PLACE was a winner vs. cheaper 4 back and has
been able to grab smaller pieces since then - the good draw gives him a chance for similar tonight. (3) SO
MANY ROADS rarely wins but can usually rally for pieces when the trip is decent - ok for 3rd.4th. (8) LO
UIE THE HORSE N was unable to get in play from similar spots in his last 2 local tries - will look better
next week with class drop, and better draw. (7) HEISMAN PLAYER struggled in his last couple and draws
poorly after missing 3 weeks - prefer others right now.
RACE 4 - (3) JUDDY DOUGLAS A backed up after a strange drive/trip two back but was on his game
last week, battling hard before coming up a little shy against a sharp, talented 4YO - he gets another class
drop tonight, and he's beaten better than these - solid threat. (1) ALEX TYE was a close 3rd two back in the
race where the top choice was 2nd - he weakened a bit after a tough trip in his last, but looms a legitimate
threat from what should be an excellent spot. (8) GENIUS MAN lands his 5th straight bad post (and 2nd
straight 8 hole) but is definitely at a winning level - if you think Boyd may take a shot at getting him in play
from out here, he'll be offering some good value. (5) HECANDANCENCRUISE looks like a complete
outsider on paper but debuts tonight for the Super Siblings....and that pair has been elevating the
performances of fresh horses dramatically, once again - don't dismiss him too quickly. (6) GROOVY JOE
surely needed his last at PcD (off 4 months) but it's hard to know if he'll be ready for a winning effort off
that one mile - perhaps the tote board can offer some clues? (7) THE REAL ONE will be coming from well
out of it, and will need a heavily contested pace up front for a chance to make any impact with his late rally.
(4) JUST A LITTLE BIT A's lone local win came vs. softer - he may be shipping in sharper than he was,
but still seems a little iffy against a few of these. (2) HEEZ OURPERSEUS N failed to improve off the
class drop last week, and has managed just a pair of 3rds from 7 U.S. starts - needs to be a bit sharper.
RACE 5 - (2) JO JOS PLACE has three starts for this small (but wildly successful) barn and found the
winner's circle for $25K, 30K, and then last week for 40K - it appears that trip doesn't matter, and he seems
sharpest right now of a few other very sharp rivals in here - gets top billing. (4) GINGER TREE PETE was
handled way too conservatively off the claim last week and the trip left him unable to do better than 4th -
he was instantly re-claimed by the connections that had just won back to back starts with him, and Bartlett
won't think twice about racing him aggressively tonight- solid threat. (5) OURRHYTHMNBLUES N found
things a lot tougher vs. the 50s in his last couple, but should appreciate the drop back to 40s tonight - it
won't help drawing outside the top pair, however. (3) DELIGHTFUL TERROR is just 1 for 12 this year and
may be a notch below the top trio right now - he's also moving inside, and will be a decent price - consider,
if spreading a bit (7) HURRIKANEKINGJAMES is racing well right now, but has the misfortune of
drawing poorly in a field with sharp foes - maybe he can rally for a small slice? (1) MONEYMAN HILL
was a promising 3rd off the long layoff but clearly not up for it when handled aggressively in his next -
draws best as he returns from a PA start, but others just seem better at the moment. (6) SHERIFF N drops
back down from 50s, but he never really belonged there anyway - will need to be sharper to do any real
damage from Post 6. (8) MAGRITTE is a notoriously streaky sort and a recent barn change set him off on
one of his big form sprees-he does seem to have leveled off, though, and lands a brutal spot returning to YR.
RACE 6 - (5) WICHITA LINEMAN is on a major roll, taking 4 of his last 5 starts (no chance 7 hole in the
others) - he was claimed from one top barn and lands in another (hot), high % outfit....and the really
interesting angle is that Bartlett opts off his best client's horse (#6) to drive this guy - we'll follow suit (note
that an owner who has been very quiet in the claiming game recently just took this horse, as he always has a
knack for teaming with very strong barns)! (6) TOWNLINE ALL GOOD was bested by the top choice in
his last pair, but has still won 5 of his 10 starts this year - it's surprising that Bartlett doesn't take him here,
but he still deserves plenty of respect! (3) THRASHER is always reliant on trip up at this level but he does
have a good late kick when things do get hot up front - never a bad one to consider, if the price is juicy
enough. (1) BALLERAT BOOMERANG hasn't won in a while but he's been close a few times, when the
trip goes his way - an easy journey could put him right in the thick of this. (4) PRETTY HANDSOME is a
steady player in this class but he goes for a new barn tonight, and faces an uncertain trip from this spot -
possible, though we are leaning more towards others. (2) DEETZY gets his share of pieces but probably
needs to be in a bit easier for a chance to get his picture taken.
RACE 7 - (1) FLOW WITH JOE picked up a 2nd behind a very sharp GAMBLINGTERROR the last time
he dropped out of the high priced claimers, and drops to a softer spot tonight - he gets to call the shots here,
and looms the one to beat. (4) PINEBUSH LIFESAVER hasn't won at Yonkers in what feels like a zillion
starts BUT he makes his 2nd try tonight for the Dynamic Duo and historically, they've had great success in
getting these types to the winner's circle - drops, gets a better draw, and figures to have a big say in here. (3)
THREE IN HEAVEN didn't have any success in 3 starts here earlier this year but does seem to have found
some better from recently at Fhd. (albeit vs. cheaper) - we'll see if he can bring one of those better efforts
with him back to YR.(2) THE DOWNTOWN BUS pounced on an easy trip three back to pick up his first
win of the season - was no factor in his next pair, but the move back inside tonight may help him grab a
share of this. (6) SHADOW CAT hasn't been able to find his best form and is now 7-0-1-1 here this year -
the outside draw won't help his chances, and he's likely looking at only a smaller piece here. (5) SILENT
SPLENDOR was a winner last week but that was from the rail, on the lead, and vs. a weaker group - may
have trouble matching that success against these.
RACE 8 - Five horse field but EVERY horse hitting on all cylinders right now (in their last 3 starts, the
field has a combined record of 15-11-1-1) - tough race! (1) ULTIMAROCA has disappointed here at lower
levels in the past but that last mile was probably his best local effort to date - he's tough on the lead but can
also do damage from behind...gets a narrow vote in a field where every horse has a shot! (5) TAKE A GA
MBLE draws "outside", but obviously gets helped by the short field - he's 5 for 5 here in 2023, and sports
an overall 9-7-1-1 slate at Yonkers...pretty hard to knock him in any way! (2) SPEED MAN seemed a notch
below his "Open Form" but he's clearly upped his game, winning in this class last week (off the pocket trip)
- remains ever dangerous. (4) CAPTIVATE HANOVER was simply too far back to have any chance on
4/17 but that mile is sandwiched between a pair of VERY sharp victories - seems quite capable of handling
tonight's class jump. (3) QUALITY BUD has continued to thrive all year, seemingly in any class, with any
trip - he's only listed on the bottom because SOMEBODY had to be!
RACE 9 - (1) BLANK STARE gambled on staying inside to 3/4s two back then never shook free into the
stretch - he was too far back last week to have any chance, but he did look good coming across the wire
(after the fact) - solid chance from the pole tonight. (4) THE IDEAL DANCER A's last line LOOKS terrific
on paper (lost by a nose from Post 8) but he really should have been an easy winner off what turned into a
very nice trip - he's still a major threat tonight with even a similar try...but it's understandable why Bartlett
opted off this guy to drive #1. (3) MICKY GEE N returned last week off a 5 month layoff and did have
some good life finishing - not sure he's ready to step up and win here, but he's worth at least considering at
the right price. (2) HEART OF DIXIE has been racing well all year but he'll be asked to take on older foes
tonight, and he's also racing off a sick scratch - may have to settle for a smaller slice this week. (6) MACH
EASY A had been sharper than he looked on paper so it was no surprise to see him handle easier last week
- the class hike and tough draw do figure to slow him down here, though. (7) MARLBANK ROAD is
having a solid year so far, but faces a tough task from Post 7 - not a bad bomb for exotics IF you think that
Holland may try to send him. (5) ESCAPETOTHEBEACH generally does his biggest damage vs. softer.
RACE 10 - (3) PEDRO HANOVER has hit board in all 7 starts since being claimed on 2/24, and that
includes a recent trio of very sharp victories - he came up 2nd best in his last pair vs. the 40s, but should
really appreciate dropping back down to 30s tonight - gets the narrow call in the finale. (4) CHANGE STRI
DE N appeared to hit the skids early this year but a move to this incredibly successful barn seemed to turn
him back around instantly - stays in for $30K after last week's "drop and pop" victory, and looms a very
dangerous threat! (2) WAR DAN DELIGHT N hasn't won a race here since 2020 yet has been claimed in
THREE straight starts - he's pretty good right now, and remains playable underneath. (5) SHARK PLAY
picked up a win and a 2nd (8 hole) after being claimed by our leading barn but his last pair just didn't
measure up - we'll see if he can get back on track tonight, or if he's just gone in the wrong direction. (6)
GENTLEMANJIM II IE came first over and collared the leader in the stretch last week, only to be blown
away by #4 after that - he did a nice job holding 2nd, though, and can contend for another piece tonight...if
Bongiorno can find him a manageable trip from Post 6. (1) CONBOYVILLE used a perfect trip to pick up
his first local win after 30 straight losses last week....not sure that it was a good idea to move him up to 30s
off that mile, but the rail draw at least puts him in play for a small share. (7) SHANWAY N just hasn't
clicked since returning from the layoff. (8) LYONS LIBERTY landed on a live trip last week and grabbed a
3rd - not sure he can be as fortunate from out here.
