RACE 1 - Tough, well matched opener! (4) CAVIART CHERIE raced well in all 3 starts since returning to
Yonkers - barn continues to send out very live players, and she's one of several horses capable of coming
out on top here. (5) JOSSIE JAMES A just went too fast on the lead last week (after parking the favorite to
the quarter) and got a little leg weary at the end - she's sharp now, and definitely capable in here. (3) MAGI
CAL MISTRESS benefited from last week's hot early pace and showed up late to cash in - would be no
surprise to see her tale another...if the trip goes her way again. (1) HP XANADU was sent off at even
money from Post 8 upon arrival at Yonkers and was able to deliver the victory - was no factor in her next
(also from Post 8, but at 92-1 with her trainer on board), but now moves all the way inside and gets Bartlett
back in the bike - expect a much more serious effort tonight. (6) WOODMERE SKYROLLER was taken
back last week by prior connections - she's enjoyed success here all season, and does look appealing at that
15-1 ML price. (2) BRING ME DIAMONDS keeps hanging in there with these, but will likely continue to
pick up only smaller pieces at this level. (7) PURE COTTON wired these in back to back to starts, and it's
only because she's now stuck with Post 7 that she's being listed so far down...but it would hardly be a shock
to see her take another. (8) SUMMER RAE is still trying to get things going in 2022 - brutal post now.
RACE 2 - Excelsior A, 2YO C&G: (6) HEAVE HO qualified nicely a couple of times at Northfield for a
barn that always does good work with youngsters - was well backed and a close 3rd at Tioga to start his
career, and catches a group of rivals that have (so far) done little to distinguish themselves - the one to beat.
(2) EL YERNO had excuses in both of his Chester qualifiers, and wasn't really bad in either - should be
able to make some noise in his debut. (3) HEISONTHEHUNT has paced evenly at best so far, but still may
be better than the others - Stratton gets the drive, and at least he handled him once before. (4) YOU OUGH
TA KNOW got lost at the back last week but may show more speed tonight with the eternally aggressive
Daley back on board...maybe that can help him find a better effort? (1) CELLMATE draws inside but hasn't
shown much so far - perhaps he can race closer to the action tonight? (5) KICKS LIKE A MULE tired in
his debut qualifier, then failed to rally up at Tioga - needs to be better.
RACE 3 - (5) LOUS BEACH is 0 for 6 this year but has three 2nds, and faced better in most of his starts -
finished 2nd to a sharp winner last week in his YR debut, and should be a major threat once again. (2) Y S
MATHIS BRO compiled a solid 6-0-4-1 record as a 2YO - shows a pair of nice looking qualifiers in early
May (up in Canada), but didn't race until qualifying again last week at Chester - the last horse this owner
moved to this barn (YS TALLIA) thrived immediately...and this guy may do the same. (4) BUCKEYE EM
ERY was well backed for his local debut last week but was never even a player - goes for a catch driver
now, and we'll see if he can find some of that better Ohio form. (3) HP LIS SHADOW struggled in his last
few up North but ships down to a live barn, adds Lasix, and may be able to be a player with the locals. (7)
CAPTAIN KEN hung in the latter stages last week but at least turned in an improved performance - gets
Dave Miller in the bike now, and we'll see if he can continue to improve. (6) LENDA HAND MAN
enjoyed the cheaper competition at Fhd. but has struggled recently at PcD and Yonkers - would like to see
some better life before hopping on his team. (1) BUD TRUCK was no factor in his first try for a new barn
and is 25-1-1-1 lifetime - not sure the rail is enough to make him a player. (8) JITTERBUG FLIP was an ok
4th last week, but figures to be up against it from Post 8.
RACE 4 - Excelsior A, 2YO C&G: (2) HOT SHOT JOE looked sharp in his career debut at Tioga, flashing
good early speed then kicking home strong out of the pocket to score the victory - has a post advantage
over his main rivals tonight, and that may help him take another. (3) ROOSTER BENNETT had a couple of
nice preps for a top barn then raced ok in his career debut, pacing home steadily off cover to be a close 4th -
license to improve in start #2. (4) HUNTING ZONE was hammered down to 3/5 for his debut but was used
harder than Bartlett would have liked, and weakened late - could easily rebound with a better effort, if the
trip is easier. (7) PARDONNEZ MOI left hard from the pole at Tioga to hold the lead, eventually yielded
for the two hole trip and remained strong right to the wire (for 2nd) - terrible draw for tonight, but also gets
a big upgrade to McCarthy in the bike - should offer some good value. (6) TO THE HUNT didn't seem to
qualify all that impressively but was handled aggressively in his first career start and was a 17-1 winner up
at Tioga - certainly could repeat, but hard to get excited about that 2-1 ML price if you weren't on board at
17-1! (5) DUCK DYNASTY has been "ok" so far, but does seem a notch below the main players. (1)
BRADY ROCKS has yet to beat a horse in his 3 qualifiers - we'll just watch, for now.
RACE 5 - (7) MY MIKI BEACH was a wire to wire winner in his first 2 starts for his new barn then was
nipped (by the favorite) after cutting the mile again in his last - adds Lasix for tonight, and the outside draw
should help his price...worth a shot here. (2) THRESHOLD went some good miles at 2 and picked up $20K
along the way - started off his 3YO season with a win and 3 seconds before being acquired by the Dynamic
Duo....who scored a win with him at Chester in a Stallion Series division - should be a perfect with these.
(1) DIVINE RIGHT has been doing solid work at Pocono for his low profile connections - draws best, and
could end up somewhere on the ticket. (5) MAJOR SHOW shipped in on 6/14 off a lifetime best win in PA
and finished 2nd to the well backed winner - raced well again at PcD in his last, and now returns to YR to
try his luck again- he does seem to race better at Pocono, but still should be able to contend for a piece here
(4) NORTHERN NETWORK has really just been "ok" in most of his recent starts - will attract attention
with Miller on board, but hard to say if that'll be enough to make him a serious player. (6) TEAM MAC has
been consistent in his 7 local starts, but mostly with good posts, vs. easier - may have a tougher time here.
(3) DANCING JOE seems to slowly be sharpening - not ready to hop on his team just yet, but will keep an
eye for the future. (8) PBR STREET GANG lands Post 8 after being no factor at all last week.
RACE 6 - Excelsior A, 2YO C&G: (2) HUMAN COCKTAIL made a stretch bobble in his first Pocono
qualifier (still finished 3rd) but made no mistakes the next week, kicking home in :27.2 to score the victory
with his trainer in the bike - gets Bartlett on board tonight, and he's already won about 70 races here this
year for the barn (including 3 for 3, last night) - we'll go with him on top. (3) DEMON BOY looked like he
was making the winning brush at Tioga last week but took a bad step to the final turn, had to be steadied,
then settled for 2nd - look for a big effort tonight. (1) BOOZER looked good in a pair of Stga. preps, but
could only manage a 5th in his career debut - really wasn't bad, though, and can probably grab a good piece
tonight from the pole. (4) TEXAS TOWN feels like he's still developing, and it's nice that he'll have Miller
at the lines once again - small piece? (5) BULLVILLE STEPHANO wasn't a bad 4th at Tioga in his career
debut - probably looking at only another minor hare tonight. (6) UPALLNIGHTBLUECHIP is hard to
gauge off his one qualifier - draws outside, and we'll just observe, for now.
RACE 7 - NYSS, 2YO C&G: (6) DUVAL STREET looked good in both qualifiers, winning one from off
the pace, and one on the lead - normally it would be a "negative" to see the owner in the bike....but not
when that owner is Brian Sears....gets the nod over an unproven bunch. (3) LIVONJAXANDQUEENS
definitely has some speed, and would appear to be improving for his small, but sharp barn - could have a
big say here. (1) BEN SOLO is hard to gauge off his two outings but he draws best, and might be ready to
offer a bit more this week. (2) JOHNNY SACK has been pretty ordinary so far but he hails from live
connections, and draws inside. (5) HURRIKANE HUNTER is hard to gauge coming out of that slow
qualifier - perhaps the tote board will provide some guidance? (4) DAVEY DAY TRADER won a pair of
Buffalo qualifiers, but faded badly in his first NYSS attempt.
RACE 8 - NYSS, 2YO C&G: (1) BLUE HUNT had preps that suggested he could be a pretty nice colt and
he definitely did not disappoint in his career debut, showing all kinds of poise avoiding trouble early on,
then rallying to win despite being pretty hard used - faces some nice rivals here, but he still deserves the
nod. (3) TRAIN STATION was handled very conservatively at Tioga but rallied full of pace to be 3rd -
could easily improve enough to contend for the top spot tonight. (6) KID FROM THE BRONX made a
couple of moves to cut the mile last week, digging in hard before getting nipped by the top choice - can
have a big say once more. (2) BANDITO JOE must have caught somebody's eye very early on as he goes
for new connections after just one start - steps up to the NYSS level, but also debuts for a barn that can
improve them quickly - use in exotics. (4) THAT DOG WILL HUNT earned the jump from Excelsior A to
NYSS after last week's powerful front end score - we'll see if he can be as effective against this tougher
crew. (5) TASTE OF HONEY qualified nicely then was pacing well late to be 4th in his NYSS debut - he's
being listed here on the bottom, but could easily race better than that.
RACE 9 - (1) HURRIKANE GEORGIE shipped in sharp from NJ - raced as well as could be expected
from Post 8 the first start, then was an excellent 2nd last week when first over against the prohibitive
favorite - faces a few legitimate foes in here, but it feels like he may be the one to knock off. (5) HIGH ST
CORRIDOR may be a little off his best game right now, but his barn is going strong and he could easily
bounce back with a good one here - a quick start might help his cause. (2) CAMOUFLAGE MONEY had a
couple of sharp PA wins in May but seemed to tail off a bit - was an even 4th last week in his local debut,
but that start was off 3 weeks...eligible to be sharper now, dropping right back in the box. (7) TWIN B DEL
UXE started off the year 7-4-3-0 before disappointing last week at VD - Bartlett sticks with him, and that
could be noteworthy....but it also feels like a tough spot, even if he brings his best. (3) RAU RU makes his
YR debut showing some good recent efforts in PA - hails from a live barn, and could have a say here, with
a good trip. (4) KAUAI KING drops in class and SHOULD fit with these....on the flip side, he's 13-0-1-1
here at Yonkers, and hard to endorse with any confidence. (8) DRY RIDGE ACE has been racing well (at
BIG prices) in cheaper claimers, and may fit ok here - he'll have a very long way to come, regardless. (6)
SAMSON BLUE CHIP seems to have gone the wrong way after a pretty nice form spree.
RACE 10 - NYSS, 2YO C&G: (4) AMERICAN FLING impressed at The Meadows in his 2 starts so it
was no surprise to see him dominate his division at Tioga - will be the clear choice to come out on top
again tonight. (3) ITS ME MARIO qualified sharply twice in NJ, but had to settle for 2nd best last week
behind the top choice - will need to find a bit more if he hopes to knock him off tonight. (5) SOUTHWIND
SAMBUCCA wanted the top badly last week but broke before he could finally cross over and take
command - there's some talent here, and it can only help getting Stratton on board here - chance for a good
piece of this. (1) BOSTON BOUND wasn't close in his qualifier but showed up ready for his career debut,
finishing full of pace for 2nd - will try to make the jump from Excelsior A to NYSS tonight, and we'll see
how that works out. (2) SOUTHWIND TITO probably will find these a bit tough, based on his Harrington
prep miles.
RACE 11 - (2) DIAMONDBEACH, like many of his barnmates, has been a bit off form lately - was an ok
4th in a fast mile last week, so perhaps he can get the job done tonight with the class relief. (4) MIKES Z
TAM was a well backed, front end winner last week - steps up a notch, but he can win at this level too
when sharp - very possible. (3) MYSWEETBOYMAX is back on his game now, and comes into tonight off
a 2nd to a classy rival two back, and a win last week - Bartlett opts for #5, but we'll still give this guy a
decent chance here. (5) ALWAYS AND AGAIN may be a bit better one level down but it would hardly be
a surprise to see him right there with these as well....and he does attract Bartlett this week. (1) REIGNING
DEO failed to get involved from Post 8 last week after a series of quality starts - could easily rebound well
enough to grab a share tonight with the move inside. (7) ROCKIN M has been sharp for some time, and the
Super Siblings are starting to heat up again, after a bit of a drought - tough post, though. (8) PRETTY
HANDSOME is sharp for sure, but steps up while landing Post 8....a tough assignment, for sure. (6) MAY
HEM HANOVER shipped in sharp but disappointed last week - capable of better, but this is a tough draw.
