RACE 1 - (8) HORIZON could be worth a play in tonight's opener - she showed ability right off the bat as
she just missed in a 1:51.4 mile (in KY) in only the 2nd start of her (2YO) career, then finished her season
with 4 good tries in NJ/PA, including 2 wins and a 2nd - moves to new (sharp) connections for her 3YO
year, and her PcD qualifier suggests she could be ready right off the bat - hopefully Stratton will put her in
play, and give her a shot from out here. (2) OAKWOOD CORAL IR is 2 for 2 since arriving at Yonkers,
and joining this terrific training tandem - may be even sharper tonight (adding Lasix), and clearly the road
to the winner's circle goes through her...figures to be a very short price, though. (1) LADY ELECTRA was
unraced at 2, and made only 4 starts at 3 - clearly there's some issues here, but also some ability - definitely
can grab a decent piece in her first start of 2022. (5) BETTE TINA was winless at 2, but did get plenty of
experience in her 13 starts - qualified back nicely (on Lasix), and could be worth including underneath. (6)
IDEAL CHIP saw her streak of 7 straight 2nd place finishes ended last week when she finished 3rd -
always a threat for a piece thanks to her gate speed. (7) BUMP IN THE ROAD raced much better last start,
but the terrible draw may hamper her significantly tonight. (3) COME ZOOM WITH ME needs to be better.
RACE 2 - MGM Rewards Ladies: (1) DIVINE DEO was very sharp upon arrival from NJ last week,
quarter moving to command then winning as she pleased - this feels like a much tougher spot for sure, but
she still deserves the nod....even if a little more tepid one. (3) STATE OF MIND has been doing good work
up North, ships down to a very sharp barn and gets Yannick on board for her local debut - could easily be a
major threat here. (6) FILLY arrived last summer with a perfect 4 for 4 slate in Western Canada - she
jogged in her first 2 local appearances, then came up 2nd best in her next pair - was given some time off by
the Dynamic Duo but has looked solid in NJ in a pair of starts since returning - will have to overcome the
draw, however. (4) BELINA weakened in her Hilltop debut but was MUCH better last week, charging
home for 4th from well back - if she can build off that effort, she can have a big say tonight. (2) PULL ME
THROUGH definitely seems a bit below the main players - maybe can tow along from the inside for a
minor share? (5) KATHYS MOMENT is a solid 5-1-2-1 at YR, but does seem a notch below the top ones -
maybe can grab a minor share? (7) PLEASURE SEEKER will have a hard time getting in play tonight.
RACE 3 - (4) HOCKEY HANOVER ships in from across the river and he finds a field that should
definitely be to his liking - hard to know how well he can get around the half but IF it's not a problem, he
should be able to hit the top in here...and that would make him a pretty tough customer. (5) ALL CHAMPY
weakened a bit to 3rd after a first over trip 2 back, then rallied nicely for 2nd with a cover trip last week -
very logical threat against these, and certainly one to have on your tickets. (6) SOUTHWIND FROST has a
new trainer listed for tonight and also has only 1 start in the last 46 days - he seems like a good fit with
these, though, and is listed at 9-1 ML - worth considering. (1) FULL RIGHTS has fallen way off form but
does get significant class relief here, and did seem a little better in his last start - if he can show up even
close to his best tonight, he can have a big say in the outcome from this spot. (7) LEVITATION wasn't very
good in his last few local starts, but did rebound with a win over cheaper in PA last week - would be more
inclined to use him had he not drawn so far outside. (2) CON AIR HALL probably needs softer to contend
for a top prize, but the good draw does give him a chance to tow along for a minor share. (3) PAPPY GO
GO shipped and crushed cheaper 3 starts back, but failed to build off that effort and disappointed in his last
pair - needs to be sharper, with these. (8) CRAZYCAT would need things to really fall apart to reach from
out here - wait for a better spot (and a class drop too?).
RACE 4 - (1) EVA DAIRPET FR benefited from the trip when an opportunistic 2nd two starts back (race
fell apart) - seemed WAY overbet last week, but she actually finished with good trot, and it's the best she's
race din some time...her barn is winless here so far in 2022 (0 for 17), but has been en fuego out of town -
feels like a winning spot. (4) DC ANNA had picked up a pair of 2nds in this class before getting over the
hump with last week's well-earned victory - remains a solid threat to take another. (5) MANHATTANUP
NO ICE followed DC ANNA's cover last week and trotted home well to be just behind her in 3rd - a live
trip puts him right back in the mix tonight. (8) D P ROCKET has beaten these in the past, and battled even
better as well - not sure if he's sharp enough right now to win from out here, though (perhaps the tote board
will offer some clues?). (2) BANK BOX TREASURE has come up short in both starts since the layoff -
looking at only a small piece, unless he shows up much sharper tonight. (7) HENDERSON SEELSTER
rallied from well back for a pair of 3rds in this class recently - not a bad bomb for 3rd/4th in exotics. (3)
ITSONLYMONEYHONEY ships in off a win over much easier at PcD -takes a big step up, and hasn't had
much luck here in a handful of starts in the past. (6) TIMESTORM also looks a little cheaper, and draws
poorly - wait for a better spot.
RACE 5 - MGM Rewards Ladies: (7) JM BETONSIX arrived from Canada to her new connections and
promptly delivered two sharp (career best) scores - finished a close 2nd in her next (behind DIVINE DEO),
then was right there in back to back starts against some VERY good older mares - gets the call in her
Hilltop debut, despite Post 7. (5) OFF THE RECORD raced well at 2 and 3 ($156K), ending her 2021
campaign with a pair of wins at The Swamp - only has that one qualifier since 12/17, though, and may be
just a little short in tonight's first series leg - would need a pretty good price to try her on top. (4) GABBYS
GIRL weakened unexpectedly from the pocket last week but tonight's addition of Lasix may explain that -
assuming she bounces back to her top effort, she can definitely contend for a good piece here. (6) SHE
KNOWS IT ALL was only 1 for 26 last year but she hit board in 15 of those losses, and raced well in her
local starts - had a useful tightener last week, and may be able to sneak onto the ticket somewhere with
some trip luck. (2) ALITTLESIDEHUSTL N made 6 starts in NZ before being imported recently - can't
fault her qualifiers, but this is a tough spot to make her stateside debut - inclined to just watch, for now. (3)
BYTHEWAY HANOVER has been racing ok out of town, but does seem a bit below the main players. (1)
CINCO SENORITA beat a NW2 field here back in Oct., but does seem to be up against it vs. this bunch.
RACE 6 - (3) MATTS MUSCLES gave it a big try off the class drop at Dover last week, brushing to the
lead then coming up 2nd best - moves to new (top) connections for tonight, gets Brennan at the lines, and
lands here at the basement level - deserves top billing. (4) BAZILLIONAIRE often figures, but (almost)
never delivers - can't say that he WON'T win tonight, but he'd be pretty hard to endorse on top at that 8/5
ML price....considering his 1 for 39 record over the past 14 months! (1) CYCLONE MAXIMUS is in a spot
where he can probably get away near the lead, and stick around for a long time - use in exotics. (5)
PETERS EXPRESS showed some life last week, even if he benefited from an all-rail trip - may be able to
grab a piece here. (2) SEVEN KNIGHTS drops, but he's list way too many times at this level to consider on
top - another that's okay to use underneath in exotics. (7) TEDDY BROSEVELT was out a long way last
week and actually held pretty well - would have given him more consideration if not for the terrible draw.
(6) DA BOOGIE MAN just hasn't been clicking - waiting for some better signs before endorsing again. (8)
WISHFUL MAR was empty in her last 3, and now gets stuck all the way outside.
RACE 7 - (2) THUNDRA was stuck chasing the blistering paces set by classy FEELIN RED HOT in her
last pair, and can be forgiven for not being able to finish a bit stronger - should really appreciate the class
relief here, and this seems like a good spot to hop on her team. (3) GINGER TREE LIZ has legitimate
ability and raced super (from Post 8) in her only local - her qualifier suggests she could be ready to go off
the layoff, and she might have been the top choice had her barn not been struggling to win raced the past
couple of months - would be no surprise at all. (4) COMMANDER CATHY N hit board in her first 6 local
tries before getting caught in the back with no chance last week - moves inside a bit, and could easily
bounce back with a more typically sharper effort. (8) STAR CAPTAIN has 2 wins from her 5 local starts,
definitely fits with these and gets a big switch to Yannick - she also draws Post 8, so insist on a decent price
if using her on top. (1) STAY SAFE shipped in sharp from Fhd, and was sharp in her first local try when
2nd in a NW4 race - failed to get involved moving up to NW6 last week, but that was from Post 7...maybe
can become a player again with the move all the way inside? (6) SUMMER RAE had a very productive
3YO season, banking over $150K - she returns after a 5 month layoff, and may be handled conservatively
from this spot. (7) HEAVENISSOFARAWAY has a 3rd and a 2nd since the recent barn change, but it may
be a challenge to work out a manageable trip from this spot, against this field. (5) FLIRTY FORTY may be
in a touch too steep against these - guess we'll find out tonight.
RACE 8 - Good race! (2) ALTUS HANOVER has raced well a few times here in the past, and seems like a
good fit with this crew - with several of these POSSIBLY getting involved to make for a contested pace,
this guy may be able to use his late rally and pick them up at the end. (4) MUFASAAS just reversed form
out of the blue with that big win two back, but then followed that up with another big effort in his last,
loaded with trot in the stretch but with no real clearance - sharp enough now to be a serious threat tonight.
(5) MADHATTER BLUECHIP showed life two back so it was no real surprise to see him pull off the mild
upset in his last - may be ready to string together some sharp miles...and that would make him dangerous
here. (6) PLUMB debuted here for the Super Siblings on 2/2 - made an early miscue, but then recovered in
a big way to pick up 4th -- returned with trotting hopples the next start and was a sharp winner, followed by
a good 2nd in her last - draws outside a few main foes, though, and that could slow her down just a bit. (7)
OUR WHITE KNIGHT is unpredictable from start to start but even on his best, he'll be hard pressed to
grab more than a smaller piece from out here. (3) KANDY SWEET really loves the lead, and was able to
hit the top and wire a cheaper bunch last week - hard to see her pulling that off against these, however. (1)
TORKIL already has 2 wins this year...and that's double his total for ALL of last year -- not sure he can be
quite as effective against these much tougher rivals, though. (8) IN MY DREAMS was unable to get
involved from Post 8 last week and gets stuck with that same bad post tonight.
RACE 9 - (2) STEUBEN HANOVER ships in from Dover with lines that suggest he'll be a good fit with
the locals - he's probably looking at a nice trip from this spot, and the price should be fair too...one of
several possibilities in another well matched claiming trot. (1) WILD AND CRAZY GUY picked up a pair
of 2nds for his new connections before making a costly break before the start last week (something he'll do
from time to time) - license to bounce right back and wire these, but he does figure to be somewhat overbet
(6) ON HIGHER GROUND has been a very consistent performer against these types for some time, and
you know it's just a matter of time before he grabs a win for his current connections - maybe tonight? (4)
BIZET saw his 4 race win streak come to an end last week, but was still a close 4th jumping up to this high
priced claimer - another that will offer some value if you think he can land on the winning trip. (3) STICK
WITH ME KID has 3 wins and a pair of 2nds from his 5 starts this year, but he moves to a new barn after
going through a couple of VERY high % outfits, and we'll see if he can continue his fine work for his new
crew. (7) VOYAGE TO PARIS was a pocket rocket winner in his last start, but that was from the pole -
much luck will be needed to replicate that effort from Post 7. (5) BIG BAD SWAN continues to be
ambitiously placed for connections that usually have them classified a little more reasonably. (8) VAINQU
EUR R P NO returned to the winners' circle with a game victory last week, but may be hard pressed to get
involved from tonight's terrible spot.
RACE 10 - Tough one to end the night: (2) BETTER UP was in no chance spots in his last pair, but gets
major post relief tonight for a new owner-trainer/trainer combo that has been doing some good things
together - might be a winning spot. (3) MOHAWK WARRIOR hasn't been much of a player lately, but this
is probably the most realistic spot he's been in for some time - wake up call is possible. (5) R MADDY
BLUE CHIP is first time Super Siblings, and that's always a potent angle...it also means he's likely to be
overbet. (1) REAL LUCKY N will surely attract plenty of attention from this spot, but he just hasn't been
sharp in ages - could definitely be vulnerable. (7) ABRAXAS BLUES A does win his share of races here -
continues to land in terrible spots, but he's never a bad one for longshot fans. (8) SMOKIN BY N is more
than good enough to be a player with these, but he was unable to get involved from a similar spot last week,
and may suffer that same fate tonight. (4) CHEYENNE REIJANE used a ground saving trip to pick up 3rd
at 51-1 last week, but may not have the same good fortune tonight. (6) DENVER SEELSTER is just 2 for
36 here over the last 3 years - sticking with others.
