RACE 1 - (5) HELLRUNNER HANOVER added Lasix 2 back, put in a big move and held well for 3rd -
was 2nd last week to a very dominant winner but catches a very modest group tonight, and should have a
decent chance to pick up her first Hilltop win. (1) NEVER NOT DANCING was a much improved 3rd last
week despite racing off a bad date - draws best here, and could be a very live player. (2) YOUR MOMMA
shipped back sharp from Michigan but threw an unexpected clunker last week - she's certainly capable of a
much better effort but she does figure to get overbet tonight, and the value may lie in taking a shot against
her. (3) BEACHBLANKETLINDY just seemed to lose interest when stuck way back last week - deserves a
chance to rebound here, and is a good one to include underneath. (7) TIME TO IMAGINE was helped by
an easy trip when 2nd last week but still raced well - not sure she can overcome this tough post, but worth
using in some exotics at a big price. (8) IDEAL CHIP has rallied for pieces a few times in the past, but will
need some major racing luck to make her presence felt from out here. (6) ROLL WITH SHORTY backed
up badly after trying to cut the mile last week - we'll just observe, for now. (4) ALDREZDUP NOWRTGO
had an improved try up North last start but not ready to hop on board her team - will keep an eye, for future
considerations.
RACE 2 - Very tough race: (5) TIME OUT IM TIRED has way more weak efforts than good ones, but if
he can replicate that effort he delivered 3 back, this is a field he can beat - barn did have a couple of
winners last week. (1) MY MIND IS MADEUP was 3rd the last time he drew inside at this level, and was
also 3rd two starts before that - definitely a spot where he can be a legit threat. (4) THISJETSABOOKIN
comes into tonight off a win and a 2nd in this class and has to be seen as the "one to beat" - he's also
moving to a new barn and will likely be way overbet...so there may be some better value with others. (3)
WAVES OF FIRE A was a basement claimer pretty recently but has run up the ladder with a few good
efforts - form is a little mixed in his last few, but he's a decent bomb if you think he might bring his best
tonight. (6) SEAFARER won here last year, and probably is a good fit with these - he's also been away for
3 months, and would need to be a good price to be worth using on top. (2) CARRACCI HANOVER raced
for a very hot barn last week and was very sharp beating the 15s - was claimed that night. double jumps for
tonight and may find this spot a bit too tough. (8) KEYSTONE STEAM drops down a notch and has a
couple of excuses in his last pair - will need a lot to happen for him to reach from out here, though. (7)
SHOREVIEW's only win here this year was vs. 15s - probably needs an inside draw to have any real
chance against the 25s.
RACE 3 - Another very tough race: (4) CHECKERED PAST is a good fit at this level, draws well enough
to work out a good trip and is one of several mares capable of taking this, depending on how the race plays
out. (5) FOX VALLEY CHARLIZ was claimed last week, although it's a bit confusing (since the woman
who claimed her was seemingly just training this mare for the connections she took her from) - regardless,
she fits well enough to be worth a look...and being a bit of a lazy mare, maybe Bongiorno can help wake
her up a bit earlier on! (3) PAIGES GIRL was handled aggressively last week at the bottom level and came
up just a little short against a mare who is very tough in that class - she can be a big threat against these too.
(7) CORAL BELLA has the speed to fly off the car when she wants to - will surely be ignored in the
wagering here, but not a bad one for longshot fans. (1) J ROCKIN B would be very tough from this spot
with anything close to her best effort - unfortunately, she's been well off her game in her last pair, and just
may be a bit vulnerable right now. (2) ACEFOURTYFOUR ALEX has done little lately but she drops and
moves inside, & has delivered "wake up" miles in the past - yet another possibility. (6) ACEFORTYFOUR
DOME has been struggling in most of her recent starts - have to lean towards several others. (8) SHECOU
LDBEGOOD N was empty from the rail last week, and now moves all the way outside.
RACE 4 - (1) HAPPY TRIO has a couple of pretty recent wins, and now gets to move all the way inside
after a series of no-chance spots -- logical spot to look for a big wake up from him. (6) CLASS SIX was
re-claimed by his previous barn and that could be a meaningful vote of confidence - willing to give him a
look even from this seemingly tough spot. (2) KIMANI N is on the cheaper side but he's been in the hunt
every week lately, and his barn is definitely clicking - ok for exotics. (5) BEVANS CULLEN N came back
to earth a bit last week with a tougher trip for a new barn but still wasn't bad - chance to rally for a piece
tonight. (8) CINNABAR DRAGON caught fire out of the blue and went from being a "meh" basement
claimer to beating the 25s last week - move from 8 hole to rail could slow him down considerably, though.
(3) KEPT UNDER WRAPS A beat the 20s two back but was just an even 4th for his new barn, moving up
to this level -- may be a notch below. (4) DERECHO is another that was in the bottom class just a few starts
back - still has to prove he can go with these. (7) CAVIART STETSON is really struggling now.
RACE 5 - (2) BITTY BITTY qualified sharply for her new connections (adding Lasix), so it was no
surprise to see her pounce on the pocket trip in her local debut, and score the mild upset - the price won't be
as good tonight, but she has a good chance to make it 2 in a row. (6) SHE KNOWS IT ALL was sent off as
the prohibitive favorite last week but was no match late for the top choice once that one shook free - it
marked the 4th straight time that she finished 2nd...and she may very well extend that streak to 5 tonight.
(1) SEA OF LOVE BC was stuck in the back last week but kicked home full of pace for 3rd after angling
free into the stretch - moves all the way inside, and should be close to the action from start to finish. (5)
KEYSTONE DELIGHT ended up with a pretty nice trip last week but came up empty from the head of the
lane - drops right back into the box, so maybe it was just a minor issue....chance to rebound and grab a
piece. (7) GETTIN GONE has done some good work here at Yonkers, including last week's sharp rallying
3rd - lands in a tough spot for tonight, however, and will need some trip luck to replicate last week's effort.
(4) MOSSDALE LOTTE N has ability for sure, but she's been on the shelf since being scratched sick in
June - guessing she'll need a start or two, but maybe the tote board will offer some clues. (8) CATIE FAYE
HANOVER fits well enough with these, bit doesn't have a lot of options from Post 8. (3) ROBMOTION
BLUE CHIP has struggled here against these types in the past.
RACE 6 - (1) YANKS DUGOUT swung wide into the parking lot from the back last week, lost a tom of
momentum, and was still trotting strong through the wire - moves all the way inside, catches a soft group,
and is clearly the one to beat. (2) HUNTING AS should be feeling pretty good about himself after a pair of
victories over a bit cheaper - still a threat for a big chunk, even moving up in class again. (4) MISTER
MUSCLE delivered a series of sharp tries at Stga. after arriving from Ohio - last couple weren't nearly as
good, but he's able to ship down to a pretty soft spot as the class was opened up just to fit him in ("NW
$10,150 L5) - we'll see if he can capitalize. (7) CON AIR HALL would prefer to be in a bit cheaper (and
from a better post), but he still may be able to beat a few of these. (3) PETERS EXPRESS is overmatched
against the better ones in here, but draws well enough for a chance at a minor share. (5) SEVEN KNIGHTS
did little before or after that win on 9/8 - really needs to find some better form. (6) MISS YOU KELLY
does her damage at the bottom levels.
RACE 7 - (4) INFORCE had really been struggling for a while but has been getting much sharper the last
few starts - should be a good price, and definitely worth using in a race that's filled with question marks. (7)
MAGRITTE had gone through an extended drought but has started to come back to life since recently
being claimed by a very crafty conditioner - his young pilot has been holding his own with the Yonkers
regulars, and perhaps the pair can hook up here for an upset. (3) CINNAMACK sports out of town form
that would surely make him a player here...but keep in mind that he's just 1 for 28 on the year, and 12-0-1-0
at Yonkers since 2019. (5) WESTERN HILL got pretty sharp for a bunch of starts (with 3 recent wins) but
has really tailed off in his last couple- dropping back down to the level of his last claim might help, but it
does seem like there could be some value playing against him at a short price. (1) PLAY THE FIELD beat
the 20s at 4/5 last week....a far cry from the 49-1 payoff he triggered with his win 3 starts back - draws the
pole tonight for a new barn, but he's also moving up in class and will be well backed - another that might be
at least a bit vulnerable here. (2) MCNULTY Z TAM just missed to #1 last week and draws inside once
more - he's another looking to prove that he belongs in this class...especially after racing against 10s not log
ago! (6) WAGON MASTER doesn't seem like a threat to bring home a top prize, but he's been racing well
enough for at least a chance at a smaller one. (8) MISTER SPOT A does his best on or near the lead, and
that may not be an option for him from this spot.
RACE 8 - (5) BLUE AND BOLD snapped out of a long dry spell on 9/29 and since then, has 3 wins, a
2nd, and a fast closing 4th from his last 5 starts - exits his long time barn for tonight but joins another sharp
one, and may be able to use his late kick to rally by these tonight. (2) GREY had no answer when the
winner blew past her at 3/4s last week but never really quit after that, staying on pretty well for 3rd -
remains a legit threat at the $50K claiming level. (3) HALO ITS ME was used hard to make the top last
week and paid for it late - and easier trip puts her right in the hunt tonight. (1) RESITA does his best work
with easier, but the rail gives him a chance to land a piece in his current form. (4) IN MY DREAMS has
been surprisingly consistent in his last few starts - worth including underneath. (8) BLUFFINER has
enough speed to at least try to improve at the start - has a chance to land somewhere on the ticket (at a
price) if he can find himself a manageable trip (7) SEVEN IRON was too far back to make any noise last
week and unfortunately, may find himself in that same boat tonight. (6) PREACHER MAN was racing well
vs. easier then made a break from the pole last week - not a fan tonight from out here.
RACE 9 - (1) TIGERS WAY had no prayer from Post 8 off the claim last week but did win for this barn
back on 9/20 - as good as any in a race that's very hard to decipher. (5) JOJOS PLACE was really pounded
at the windows last week (off a sharp try the week before) but failed badly on the front end - moves to a
barn that could probably win with a zebra right now, and that makes him an automatic threat. (6) AWESO
MENESS has been a little in and out recently, but can be a late threat if things go his way. (8) REAL LUC
KY hasn't won in some time but he finally drops down from 40s and this should be a more comfortable
level for him - unfortunately, he also draws Post 8...and he'll need lots of racing luck to work out a trip from
out here. (3) SIX DAY WARS was a close 4th in his first try in this class - may need a little cheaper, but it
wouldn't be a shock to see him contend again tonight. (4) IWONTDOTHATAGAIN raced ok from an
impossible spot at this level last week after having some success in the lower conditioned classes - would
definitely use him here if the price was right. (2) MACHIAVELLI was ok in his first 2 tries off the claim
but no factor in last - we'll see which direction he goes tonight. (7) MY DELIGHT is struggling ANDdraws
outside - not a winning formula!
RACE 10 - (4) DC ANNA didn't beat the toughest of fields last week but the WAY she did it suggests that
she can step up and handle better - legitimate chance to make it 2 in a row. (1) LADY JETER ships back in
to Yonkers where she's enjoyed success in the past (7-1-4-2) -- has speed from the pole, and looms a major
threat tonight. (2) LIFETIME ROYALTY has a mixed history here at YR, as he returns off a pair of nice
tries at Chester- barn sent out some live ones the past few cards, so look for a solid effort from this guy as
well. (7) YANKEES BEAST charged home once he finally shook free last week, another ship in winner for
red hot connections - steps up and draws Post 7, so he may have to settle for a smaller piece this time
around. (6) CREWS HILL TOPPER was 3rd last week, but that probably wasn't his best effort - decent one
to use for 3rd/4th, at a nice price. (8) BROWNIE has disappointed more often than he's delivered, and now
has to contend with Post 8 - minor share only. (5) BRILLIANT BOB was no good at all last week, and just
feels like he needs to be in easier in order to be a player. (3) ZOOMING still seems to be enjoying the
racing wars at age 13, although his best days are clearly behind him - he's been competing primarily in
Amateur events lately, and these might be a little to tough for him right now.
RACE 11 - (2) BLUEBIRD RECON cut the mile vs. 40s last week off the claim and just came up a little
short at the end - drops back down to 30s, is Kakaley's choice, and figures to have a big say in the outcome.
(1) TOLLY HO threw a bit of a dud last week after a series of excellent starts - drops right back in the box
for his new connections, and could easily rebound with a winning effort. (7) MARINER SEELSTER had
tailed off for a few starts but was back on his game in last, charging home to score at 6-1 - loses Kakaley
but goes to Bongiorno, who is definitely familiar with him - good one to include in exotics. (4) PROVOCA
TIVEPRINCEN was able to capitalize on a class drop (and rail) and cashed in as the favorite last week -
this figures to be a tougher spot, but if this guy gets the opportunity to cut this mile, he does have a bit of a
chance. (6) JIMS PERFECT TEN rallied nicely for 2nd last week off the re-claim - moves up in price after
being taken again, and just may not be good enough to bang heads with these. (8) VENIER HANOVER
draws outside for the 5th straight week - he was able to overcome 3 starts back, but not sure he can do that
tonight. (5) TREASURE MACH exits a very high % barn and joins a lesser outfit for tonight - sticking with
others, for now. (3) SWEET TRUTH had a few good starts with easier recently - may need easier to strut
his best stuff again.
RACE 12 - (4) MUSCLE STAR debuted for a trainer make her own debut last week, and went a huge
effort, racing parked the entire way and still finishing 3rd - definitely willing to try him tonight off that
huge mile. (7) MIGHTY SURF came close to "speed popping" them last week, enjoying a big lead turning
for home only to get nailed by the fast charging winner - definitely a chance tonight, even from out here.
(1) MAKING SPARKS has been able to rally for a few smaller pieces recently - draws best, and may be
able to grab another piece tonight, (3) SHOWMEYOURGUNS hit board 2 and 3 back but it's hard to say
that he's been sharp - eligible to reverse form on a dime, but would want a decent price to use him tonight
(at least on top). (5) MAGNIFICENT SEVEN returns to YR off a couple of ok Pocono tries - might be
notch below the main players here, however. (2) ZAGSTER has gone weeks without even getting a check -
he'll wake up one of these nights, but there's no signs right now that it'll be tonight. (6) BINGO QUEEN has
just been going through the motions in most of here recent starts - hard to predict a wake up call for tonight.
(8) MAJESTIC MARVEL has a couple of good recent tries....WHEN he behaves - pretty tough spot to
consider him, as he figures to struggle even if he managed to stay trotting.
