RACE 1 - (2) CLASSIC PRO was Reclaimed 2 back and immediately justified the $5K premium they
paid with last week's HUGE effort - if he can secure the top tonight without being used too hard, he may be
able to pick up a victory. (4) PACING MAJOR N is racing every week now (after a long layoff) and doing
good work each start - remains a weekly threat, but wouldn't be willing to take too short a price on him. (6)
GHOST DANCE is a rock solid performer in this class whenever he shows up on his best game - tough
post here, but that should also come with a decent price...consider. (3) HAPPY TRIO beat the 20s three
back then stepped up to bat the 25s in his last - not quite sure he can have the same success at this level, but
we'll find out tonight. (1) WAGON MASTER races for a new barn tonight while moving all the way inside
- good one to include underneath. (5) MARINER SEELSTER has been razor sharp, but he exits a barn that
wins at an astronomical rate and just may not have the same success elsewhere. (7) SWEET N FAST N
wasn't bad last week, but lands in a spot where he may be unable to find a way into the hunt. (8) ROCK N
TONY remains questionable at the $30K level and draws Post 8 off the claim - will just watch, for now.
RACE 2 - (5) SOHO LENNON A had no prayer from Post 8 vs. better last week but tonight's class drop
offers the classy 11YO an opportunity to be handled more aggressively - wouldn't say he's a cinch against
these, but he does feel like the one to beat. (1) AIR FORCE HANOVER was able to blast out from Post 8
vs. NW7500 last week and take that softer bunch wire to wire - draws the pole as he moves back up one
notch, and that makes him a dangerous player once again. (7) J B MAUNEY N had a brutal 7 hole trip vs.
NW8 in his local debut but was able to win from that same bad post in a NW7500 field last week - draws
Post 7 yet again, and may have a harder time overcoming that obstacle against these...not impossible,
though. (2) BALLERAT BOOMERANG has a pair of 2nds since changing barns, racing well each time -
should be in the hunt again tonight, even moving up a bit in class. (4) KNOCKING AROUND is just 1 for
24 this year but dis grab plenty of pieces - ok for the bottom of exotics. (6) DECISION DAY fits well with
these but draws outside and may be coming from too far back to have any real impact. (3) ABERDEEN
HANOVER picked up a win at Chester last week but faces a bit better here, and seems a notch below some
of the main players. (8) MONEYMAN HILL wasn't terrible last week but the class drop will likely be
offset by Post 8 - waiting for a better spot.
RACE 3 - (3) BLUEBIRD RECON took off the gate last week and gave his connections no chance for the
one week they owned him - was claimed for the 4th straight start and moves inside here for his new crew...
which should allow him to be much more aggressive - we'll give him the nod in a questionable $30K field
despite the class jump. (2) JOJOS PLACE moves inside last week after 3 straight 8 holes and raced well
first over to be 2nd best - another good draw could see him back in the mix again. (1) MY DELIGHT
remains a bit questionable at this level but the last time he drew the pole he was able to grab a 3rd - maybe
another small piece tonight? (6) BRACKLEY BEACH is one of many here that has done his best work
with easier - he may have the speed to blast his way to a good trip here so at 12-1 ML, he's worth at least a
look. (4) ALOTBETTOR N seems to be tailing since leaving the Dynamic Duo 3 starts back but it's hard to
say for sure - tonight should give a better gauge as to where he's at right now. (5) KEYSTONE STEAM's
better efforts in PA have come against much cheaper - wouldn't be shocked if he was a player tonight but
he's hard to back at that 3-1 ML price. (7) TOLLY HO moves to a sharp barn but he may really be pushing
it at this $30K level - Post 7 doesn't make things any easier. (8) THISJETSABOOKIN has been "ok" at this
level, but he'll need to be even sharper to be a major threat from all the way out here.
RACE 4 - (4) KASEY JOHN N wasn't as sharp last week - may have been due to the barn change, but it's
also possible that he just didn't care for the off going...willing to give him another chance here at what
figures to be a decent price. (3) OUR CORELLI N hasn't had that much local success this year but he went
a BIG effort last week after shipping in sharp from Stga. - just may be good enough right now to do some
damage here. (6) PRO BEACH was sent off at 3/5 in this class for his local debut and was able to come up
with the first over victory - he moves from the pole to Post 6, however, and MAY be just a bit vulnerable at
a short price tonight. (2) GIVENUPDREAMING tends to be somewhat in and out and his 1 for 24 YR
record this year doesn't inspire a ton of confidence...ok for a smaller piece, though. (5) WHITE HAIR
ROCKS is sharp enough to win....but being that he's just 1 for 59 over the past 2 seasons, it's still tough to
put him in the top slot! (1) BELTANE A is racing well for a hot barn but his only local win this year was 2
weeks ago, off a pocket trip vs. cheaper - willing to include underneath. (7) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN has
a win and a close 2nd since the barn change, but that was vs. easier - would be a bit of a surprise to see him
do as well from out here. (8) ENVIRONS HANOVER seems sharper now than when he last shipped in
(8/6), but faces a tall task from all the way out here.
RACE 5 - (2) ROBBIE BURNS N was used hard and weakened late vs. the 75s last week but has been
excellent down at this level - figures to find the front end early on, and they have him to catch and beat. (5)
BARBADOS is a proven winner at this level and was 2nd vs. the 75s two back - he does need some pace
up front to make his late move pay off, so don't take too short a price if he's your top choice. (3) DREAMF
AIR CHARRO beat the 40s off the claim and rallied well at this level last week from an impossible spot - if
the trip goes his way, he does have a chance to upset here. (8) AMERICAN BOY N is razor sharp right
now, and was as good last week as that line looks - steps up and draws Post 8 tonight, but would be more
than willing to include him at a nice price. (4) TOPVILLE OLYMPIAN had no prayer from Post 8 last
week but his form has been excellent prior to that - moves inside, and could easily grab a piece of this. (1)
IAMMRBRIGHTSIDE N tired last week off the claim and is unproven at this level, regardless - rail can't
hurt, but he'll need to improve to be a player here. (6) AMERICAN WIGGLE grabbed 4th off a ground
saving trip, but is another that would need to be much sharper for a chance to be a legit threat. (7) ELWELL
is in a tough spot - look for him dropping down to NW10000 next week.
RACE 6 - Good race! (1) SOHO LEVIATHAN A was sitting 6th when the leader got over the quarter in
:29 seconds last week so his chances were pretty much eliminated at that point - his overall form has been
excellent, though, and he may end up with a winning trip from the pole tonight - one of many possible
winners in this solid field! (3) KEY ADVISOR lacked room in the stretch last week or he might have been
right there in the win photo - should be a good price tonight, and one to at least consider. (2) AINTNOBET
TOR A is one of several thriving for this (incredibly) high % barn right now - gets another good draw, and
is an obvious threat. (6) JOESSTAR OF MIAA ships in very sharp, and was a winner here earlier this year
- he's at a post disadvantage, however, so insist on a fair price if using on top. (4) IM SOME GRADUATE
turned in his best local effort last week but still came up a little short - we'll see if the classy veteran can
build off that effort. (5) FOREVER FAV has been sharp for seemingly forever, but he parts ways with the
Super Siblings tonight, and may not be quite as sharp for his new connections. Both (7) SUGARTOWN
and (8) TELLITSABB are more than capable against these, but the outside draws may hamper them
significantly in this very strong field.
RACE 7 - (7) NONE BETTOR A has now taken 5 of his last 7 starts, and that includes last week's win in
the Quillen - always things that can go wrong from Post 7, but he's sharp enough right now to overcome
quite a bit - we'll stick with him. (4) WESTERN FAME was decent two back in his 2nd start off the layoff
and that last start in NJ could have him even tighter now - could be a decent value with the good draw. (6)
NANDOLO N was very well backed last week and picked up his first Open victory (after coming close a
couple of times previously) - he's tough every week, and will be a late threat if Bartlett can work out a
decent trip for him. (1) MICKY GEE looked like his old self charging home to win his last but he's missed
3 weeks since then, and missed 3 weeks prior to that victory- hard to say if he'll be tight enough tonight to
tackle this top class, even with the inside post. (8) BRONX SEELSTER has really elevated his game since
the 8/21 barn change but it's hard to predict his trip from all the way out there - at 3-1 ML, it's hard to make
a good case for using him on top (but he CAN win, with the right racing luck). (5) ROLLWITHPAPAJOE
took his last two on the lead, vs. cheaper - we'll see if he's built enough confidence to take on the Open
players this week. (3) FUNATTHEBEACH N beat a "watered down" Open two back, then had no chance
when stuck outside in his last - hard to say how well he really fits with the better ones in here. (2) PAT
STANLEY N has been very sharp, but faltered up at this level last week - probably needs to be in easier.
RACE 8 - (1) LEONIDAS A is feeling good again since being returned to his favorite trainer - was right
there in the Open two back, then was a powerful winner in this class last week, charging home after being
wide a long way - gets a free ride, and is clearly the one to catch and beat. (5) SEMI TOUGH was 2nd in
this class to PYRO back on 8/9, and has been very sharp in his last pair across the river - looking at an
aggressive try here, and likely the one with the best chance to knock off the top one (2) FUNKNWAFFLES
has been sharp in 3 straight, and draws well tonight - an easy trip gives him a good chance to land
somewhere in the exotics. (3) TOOKADIVEOFFDIPPER has been inconsistent lately, but does have the
ability to be a player here if he shows up on his game - decent value horse underneath at 15-1 ML. (7)
SPRINGSTEEN was a solid 3rd from off the pace last week and he's looking at a similar trip tonight - use
for 3rd/4th. (6) TYGA HANOVER finished 3rd in 3 straight NW20000 starts before finding a field he
could wire in last - steps up and draws outside tonight, and that may limit his production. (8) WINDSUN
RICKY is clearly on his game right now, but this doesn't feel like a spot where he'll be able to get involved.
(4) TIGER BARON is up at a level that figures to be out of his comfort zone.
RACE 9 - Tough race: (1) THE REAL ONE leveled off for a couple of starts after winning 3 in a row vs.
cheaper but rebounded with a pretty good try in last week's Open, finishing with very alert pace for 4th -
may end up sitting off a contested pace here, and perhaps he can rally late for a mild upset. (4) FRANCO
TOTEM N shipped in sharp and was bet down to 3-1 in last week's Open - never fired after a bit of a
shuffle, but he drops a bit and probably deserves a chance to rebound. (6) SHADOW CAT has been feeling
pretty good lately, and has done some damage at even these higher levels in the past - if Siegelman can get
him in play, he's sharp enough to have a say here. (7) SPLASH BROTHER changed up tactics and raced
from the pocket last week...and was rewarded with the victory - terrible spot and not a fan of that 5/2 ML
price, but he does have the talent to do some damage here (with some trip luck). (8) ON THE CARDS N is
now 7-2-2-3 here at Yonkers, and continues to race well week after week - no idea if he can find a decent
trip here, but that 12-1 ML price does make him worth considering. (5) PEACE OUT POSSE may prefer to
be in a bit easier, but it never seems safe to overlook anything this barn drops in the box. (2) LISBURN has
gone some big miles lately, but not against a field this strong - may struggle a bit with these. (3) THE
WILD CARD took his last pair, but vs. easier - has to prove he can go with these too.
RACE 10 - (3) LYONS KING is a borderline Open player but he's right at home against this type in the
new $100K claimer - he took them wire to wire last week, and while not offering much value, does have a
good chance to repeat. (2) WEONA SIZZLER A ended up 5th last week but had a tough trip and wasn't all
that far off 3rd - could be closer here with an easier journey. (1) BUY IN was pacing best of all last week in
a mile that saw him show up sharper than expected - we'll see if he can come up just as good tonight. (5)
TALBOTCREEKWHISKEY is having a terrific year for his young trainer and is razor sharp right now -
moves a bit outside now, and his fate may hinge on what happens at the start of the race. (4) FLYING FINN
N is sharp right now, but may need to be in a bit cheaper - grabbed a small piece in his last, and may be
looking at a similar result tonight. (6) CAVIART LUCA used good trips to grab and 2nd and a 3rd in his
last pair but unless he somehow ends up the only leaver (unlikely), he's probably looking at a much tougher
trip here...and a less productive result. (7) AMERICAN ZEST A seems overmatched...while drawing Post 7.
RACE 11 - (3) FLYINGEVENBETTOR N has been stuck in the back of the pack most weeks with little
chance - may end up in a much better spot this time, and he has a chance to pull of an upset here - decent
value horse to consider. (5) TITO ROCKS hasn't been nearly as consistent lately as he's been in the past,
but he's also been in some tough spots - very live player here IF he shows up on his "A Game". (7) BETTE
RTHANTHEBEACH was absolutely dominant here on 9/6, taking his 3rd in a row - disappointed a bit in
his next, however, then was no factor at Chester last week - draws poorly returning to YR, but still worth a
look....as long as the price is decent. (1) WARDAN EXPRESS A does better work with cheaper but he
draws inside, his barn has been sending out some live ones, and he gets a fresh set of hands tonight - may
be able to grab a piece of this. (2) VIRGIN STORM just lost ground off turn three last week - did recover
for a nice 3rd, and he's another with a chance at a small piece here. (4) FULLBACK almost held 2nd in a
very fast mile last week and was 2nd the week before - this class is a bit higher than he likes, but he may be
sharp enough to pick up a small piece. (6) YANKEE ROLLER A was off a month and moving to a new
barn before his last in PA - goes to another new barn for tonight, lands in a tough spot and may look better
with a class drop next week. (8) MARK WITHA K can hang with 'em at this level, but really has limited
options from all the way out here.
RACE 12 - (4) ALWAYS AND AGAIN was sharp here off the layoff, cutting the mile before ending 3rd
behind a pair of sharp rivals - no prayer in his last at The Swamp, but returns to a spot where he'll have a
solid chance. (5) GRAY DRAGON has hit board in all 4 local tries this year, and raced very well in most of
them - fits very nicely here, and won't mind the switch to Kakaley - major danger. (6) KILOWATT KID N
steps back up to NW20000 after a pair of very nice tries one level down - if he can work out a half decent
trip here, he could add some value to the exotics. (2) JUST PLAIN LOCO is having quite a year, after a
starting off as a low-level claimer - should fit nicely with these, and has a solid chance of landing
somewhere on the ticket. (3) SO MANY ROADS loves to sit as long as he can, then rally at the very end -
some trip luck could help him land a minor piece. (1) DON DOMINGO N generally needs to be in easier
but that mile 2 back wasn't bad at all - similar effort gives him a chance at a small piece. (8) HICKFROMF
RENCHLICK steps up pretty sharp, but will need a lot of trip luck to make something happen from out
here (especially with some good speed inside of him). (7) NVESTMENT BLUECHIP will get back on our
radar with a drop, and (much) better post.
