RACE 1 - Good opener! (4) CRESCENT BEAUTY did a lot of damage at the Indiana Fairs, winning 17 of
37 starts at 2 and 3 and just missing in this year's Final - she won her first start for new connections at PcD
last week, and we'll give her a shot to keep the ball rolling in her Hilltop debut. (1) AVACAKES has been a
little bit disappointing in her 4 local tries but she's hinted at some ability - draws best, and maybe a fresh set
of hands can get a little more out of her? (5) MUSCLE DAN also competed at the Indiana fairs and picked
up a couple of smaller pieces in his first 2 local tries - seems capable of a bit better, and perhaps we'll see
that tonight. (2) CREDARENA beat this class 3 starts down, then was just too far back to threaten in his
last pair - gets major post relief now, and that should make him a legitimate player once again. (8) BANK
BREAKS hit board in 5 of 7 local starts but has no victories (so far) - clearly a good fit with these, but not
much value at that 5/2 ML price (from Post 8)! (8) STARLIT THISWANMAN is yet another Indiana
product, and should fit nicely with these - he's been away for 3 weeks, however (sick scratch), and this may
be a good week to just watch him go. (7) SQUABLE has been a little better lately, but doesn't figure to be
able to have much say from out here. (3) SOUTHERN AUTUMN arrives from PA and is just 1 for 29.
RACE 2 - Another well matched field: (2) WAITFOREVER N raced conservatively in her U.S. debut but
did finish alertly from the back - was sent off at 2/5 in her next start, and was able to deliver the solid front
end victory - draws inside her main rivals tonight, and we'll give her the slight edge to take another. (3)
CHERYLS SHADOW is 6-4-1-1 since arriving at Yonkers, and looked pretty good in a couple of those
victories - dangerous player once again tonight. (6) COMMANDER CATHY N remains an enigma, as she's
now winless in 26 U.S. starts, though coming close vs. better on several occasions - she'll be a good price
here if you think tonight's the night she finally gets over that hump. (7) LOVE THAT SMILE was 2nd best
to a very sharp MADEIRA HANOVER 2 back, then just missed to #3 last week - she's more than capable
of beating these, but will be at a major disadvantage from Post 7. (4) FLIP THE SCRIPT seems a notch
below these but she moves to a top barn and is eligible to improve - tough call. (1) PEMBROKE IDEAL BJ
struggled in her starts here earlier this year but seems a little better out of town lately - still prefer others,
but can see here grabbing a small piece tonight. (5) BEST KEEPSAKE was an easy trip 4th last week, but
will need to be better for a chance against the top ones in here.
RACE 3- (2) MUFASAAS was the pick here last week and he was almost able to knock off the 2/5 winner
(#8) - this is a tougher field overall but his price should still be decent, and he's worth sticking with one
more time. (7) LOS BALLYKEELAMIGO benefited from a couple of early breakers last week and easily
picked up his 4th local win in just 9 starts - has the speed to overcome the draw, and he should be a very
live player once again. (1) LADYS IMAGE wasn't quite up to the top trio in her local debut but she still
raced ok behind a few very solid 50s - with a little improvement, she'll have a chance to be right there with
this group. (8) SEVENTIER broke in his first 2 starts after being claimed by our leading barn so last week's
1/5 price was somewhat absurd - he DID manage to get the job done that night (over #2), but he moves
from the rail to Post 8 and would seem a bit vulnerable this time around. (3) CHAMPAGNE ON ICE was
pretty good 2 and 3 starts back but then threw a complete clunker last week - if you think he can bounce
right back to one of her better efforts, the price will certainly be pretty juicy. (5) SWISS HOUSE ONFIRE
was an improved 4th last week - not ready to back him against these, but definitely one to keep an eye on
for when he gets in softer. (4) TORKIL really does his better work when in cheaper - sticking with others.
(6) DYLAN THE GREAT seems a bit ambitiously placed shipping in from Pocono.
RACE 4 - (5) PENELOPE J just missed at Fhd. last week to the talented PRIMADONNA DEO and also
has many other lines that would surely handle these - the one to beat in her YR debut. (2) R DESIRABLE
LADY was a strong 3rd in her Hilltop debut, despite being bothered on the final turn - may be the one to
complete the exacta? (1) CASTLE HOUSE was 2nd here (DH) back on 7/19 in a 4 horse field, but has
made breaks recently on 3 other half mile tracks - feels a bit risky, though there's definitely some talent
here. (4) COUNT JOGGING was sent off at 55-1 for his local debut but clearly outraced those odds,
finishing a close 2nd behind #8 - chance to land on the ticket once again with a similar effort. (8) THE
BOSS MAN beat this class last week but the move from the rail to Post 8 figures to really hurt his chances
tonight - still a logical one to include for 3rd/4th, however. (3) MAGNOLIA VOLO seems better on the
bigger track and like most horses from this barn, just seems to do much better with Bongiorno in the bike -
wouldn't be shocked to see her race well, but still opting for others. Both (6) HALLWAY BABE and (7)
NORTHERN BLIZZARD figure to be coming from too far back to have any real say tonight.
RACE 5 - (5) SALE EL SOL got a barn change last week that has been very successful in a couple of other
recent cases and hers was no exception, immediately turning a vastly improved effort to just miss in a
minor stake at Fhd. - very dangerous tonight with a similar mile. (1) AMERICAN HALO really started to
sharpen recently and comes into tonight off a win in the Excelsior A Final 2 back (at Stga.), followed by a
victory here last week - clearly the main threat. (2) MISS DOTTIE MAE should be sitting closer to the
pace this week and she generally offers a decent finish- solid chance to take home a piece of this (6) KILEE
ROCKS generally races well when she can leave the gate and sit an up close trip - she loses Holland to #1,
but an still grab a piece of this if Miller handles her aggressively. (7) CLEAR THE WAY has been solid for
a while, but unable top threaten in her last few because she was a little too far back - unfortunately, the
same may be the case tonight. (4) JE TAIME N just hasn't clicked yet since arriving stateside - waiting for
better signs before considering her more seriously. (3) CHILLIN BYTHE POOL is better than her recent
lines, but hard to use until she at least shows a better effort (or two). (8) TAVA tends to get lost at the back
from spots like this.
RACE 6 - (4) CANTKEEPMIASECRET won her way out of this class last week but a rewrite of the
conditions (NW 6PM or $78,170) allows her to stay "eligible" by $1 - if she continues to race the way she
has been she should be able to capitalize, and take home the $10K winner's share of this purse (3) TIE ONE
ON has done some good work since joining this barn in June and has simply been overmatched in a few of
her recent starts - not a bad spot for to rebound with a good effort. (1) P C FREE WHEELING once again
will have her trainer handling the driving (as Bartlett sticks with the top choice) but she was able to take
home 3rd last week, and could easily grab another good chunk tonight. (6) MUSCLE DYNASTY kicked
home well at the end for 2nd two back, and last week's 2nd place finish (behind #4) was probably his best
mile to date - he's managed to stay trotting every week, and he has a chance for a good piece of this if that
continues. (8) CREATIVE VENTURE is probably too far out to threaten but he IS sharp, and his barn is
going pretty well right now - not a bad bomb for 3rd/4th. (5) SEVENSHADESOFGREY just missed in an
easier field 2 back but has otherwise been limited to only smaller pieces for a while - looking at more of the
same tonight. (2) QUINCY MARKET went sour recently and so far his new barn has yet to turn things
around - the ability is there, but he's just tough to back right now. (7) VALI HANOVER was no factor here
2 back from a very similar spot.
RACE 7 - (5) KENRICK N really woke up 3 back when he upset the 15s from Post 8 - he came back to
beat the 20s the next week (with a first over trip), and just caught a hot mile moving up to 25s in his last -
this is an easier bunch, and he may be able to get back to his winning ways. (1) MARTY MONKHOUSER
A would look better in for $20K, but he can definitely go with this crew...especially from the pole -
dangerous threat to take these wire to wire. (2) NOAHS MILL was well backed 3 down and just missed
with a new trainer listed - no threat in his last pair, but he could easily jump up and have a say with these.
(4) CLASSIFIEDMATERIAL has been struggling but he debuts for a new barn tonight and is eligible to
improve - worth at least a look. (7) MACHIAVELLI exited a pair of (very) high % barns and has struggled
mightily in the 3 starts since then - he's eligible to turn things around one of these nights, but he'd have to
be a pretty good price to attract a play right now. (6) SWAGASAURUSREX is racing "ok" these days - a
ground saving trip could lead to a minor piece tonight. (3) FOX VALLEY INFERNO hasn't clicked in the
two starts since last claimed - we'll see if the move inside helps a bit. (8) CINNABAR DRAGON would
probably need things to really fall apart to be a threat from out here.
RACE 8 - (7) ALL CHAMPY moved to our leading barn for his last start and like so many before him,
improved significantly and crushed horses he would have previously struggled with - big chance to take
another for the toughest trainer/driver tandem in the game today. (5) EMOTIONS RICHES can be a little in
and out lately, but he's been 1st or 2nd in 11 of his 24 local starts and is eligible to come up with a big one
on any given week - consider if his price is juicy enough. (3) DELTASUN A never used to thrive here at
YR but his most recent efforts have looked a lot better - chance for a small piece from this spot. (4) OUR
WHITE KNIGHT is definitely not known for his consistency, but he's actually been doing good work out
of town and COULD be a player if he brings that same kind of effort back to Yonkers - but that's always a
BIG "if"! (8) TESLA SEELSTER was a little disappointing last week but has otherwise been doing good
work - Post 8 means a nice price, so at least consider for the bottom of exotics. (1) BAZILLIONAIRE is as
camera shy as they come, but he does race well enough for pieces on many occasions - possibility for
3rd/4th. (2) CREEMORE has been racing pretty well in PA but does seem a little bit cheaper than the main
players in here. (6) BROWNIE is just 1 for 31 at YR (last 3 years) and draws poorly for tonight.
RACE 9 - (1) HUNTRESS compiled an outstanding record in Iowa the past 2 years (24-17-5-1) and
attracted a couple of high profile owners to dip in for her at the end of this season - meets nothing all that
impressive for her local debut, and figures to be a very short priced winner in the finale. (7) LADYSHOOT
STHEBLUES came into her last at 0 for 34 but added Lasix, and was able to deliver the 22-1 upset - has
the speed to leave from out there, and may be able to land on tonight's ticket as well. (2) THE LETTER had
some mild pace finishing from the back last week and draws much better for tonight - should be able to
take home a piece of this. (6) BROOKLYN BLUES is 0 for 16 but gets a big barn change for her local
debut and is eligible to race well enough for a share of this, (3) BEACHBLANKETLINDY is unpredictable
from week to week - if she shows up in the right mood, there's a shot she can pick up a minor share. (4)
YOU SAIDITALL N was sent off favored for her U.S. debut off a dullish qualifier and could only manage
a 6th place finish (at PcD) - have to believe she's better than that, but still not worth a short price right now.
(5) PINE BUSH LOVELIFE is probably a bit better than her lines look, but still hard to recommend right
now. (8) ODDS ON HARMONY hasn't clicked yet for her new barn and draws horribly once again.
