RACE 1 - (4) HERE WE GO BB raced well in both local starts including an odds on jogburger (with
Bartlett on board) 2 back - returns from Plainridge off a solid 1st over 2nd, and draws inside her two main
foes for a very hot barn - we'll give her the edge. (7) DONTKARENIFIDO was sharp in both local starts
for her new trainer, kicking home powerfully to win both times - should be able to improve her position a
bit at the start, and will be a dangerous late threat if close turning for home. (6) CANNERY ROW has
picked up a trio of 2nds since joining forces with the Dynamic Duo, the last two behind #7 - will need to
find more at the end if she hopes to reverse those losses, and come out on top tonight. (5) HERS HUNGRY
finished well back in her only local try but that line is surrounded by 3 out of town victories - gets a big
driver change, and seems the one with the best shot to bust up the top trio. (3) SWEET CHEDDAR got lost
in the back week after a pair of 3rds - maybe she can pick up a small slice tonight? (1) EDITORS CHOICE
has yet to hit board in 9 local tries, often finishing poorly. (2) CHILLED PROSECCO showed a long list of
poor starts out of town, and did the same thing in her YR debut - waiting for better signs before considering.
RACE 2 - (1) STRATEGIC has shown some ability WHEN he's actually trotting, but miscues have
plagued him in most of his recent starts - he added hopples for his last qualifier and did manage to behave -
maybe he can build off that clean mile? (2) LITTLE MISS YANKEE just missed in her local debut and
might have won had she had room a little sooner - has to be considered a solid threat off that effort. (6) NE
WTOWNS BLACKGOLD seems to be on the upswing right now, following up a win and a 2nd at PcD
with a decent 3rd here last week - logical player, even with the outside draw. (7) TO MY CREDIT did look
to leave in his YR debut but was hurt by an erratic leaver to his inside and had to back off to last - not the
worst bomb to consider. (5) B FLUFF U UP ships in showing some less than stellar Ohio form but we've
seen horses from these connections thrive here over the years - would only consider if the price is decent.
(3) BANGIN IN THE HALL and (4) SQUABLE are a combined 2 for 116 between them!
RACE 3 - (3) PAPA DOC made a big brush to the lead on 9/28 but switched over to the pace on the final
turn and ended up off the course as Dube tried to get him back trotting - he re-qualified super, and might
have won last week if found room a little earlier- could come up with the mild upset tonight (4) DEVILISH
HILL's only 2 recent "non stakes" starts produced wins right here at Yonkers - the deserving favorite, but
doesn't feel like a "cinch". (2) YOU GOT IT found a tuck, sat in and used the easy trip to be a close 3rd last
week - should be in the mix again, but note that he's still winless on the year. (1) WILD WAY had no issues
at the start last week and delivered a solid first over victory - may be a notch below a couple of the top
ones, but still a chance to land somewhere on the ticket. (6) INSIDE EXPRESS may be on the upswing
since the recent barn change, but lands a tough spot for her local debut - maybe a minor share? (5) IM AN
ANDOVER has put together a strong 9-3-3-0 slate here this year - would consider for 3rd/4th. (7) LIVING
ONTHERAIL is the clear outsider.
RACE 4 - Tough race! (1) LITTLE POWER was sent off at 4/5 but left with NO chance after a terrible trip
(largely of his own making) - the price will go up tonight, and he loves to win races, when sharp - may be
worth another shot. (2) SHANWAY N hit board in 3 of his last 4, almost sweeping the field from 7th last
week - has to be considered in his solid current form. (6) LEAVE AND ROLL hit board in 8 straight before
finally getting to the winner's circle last week (2nd start for his new barn) - chance to repeat, even from this
tough post. (5) BETTER UP had been dull for several weeks but was hammered at the windows last start,
hit the top and was able to just hold off #2 to win it - could repeat, but it'll be a lot tougher against these. (4)
MISTER SPOT A hasn't done much lately but he's been facing better - we'll see if a drop to 20s can help
his cause. (7) PRESTIGE SEELSTER has hit board in 5 of 9 starts since the barn change but has no wins -
he does drop in class tonight, but also faces a tough task from Post 7. (3) TWIN B SPEED DIAL picked up
a 2nd in his YR return but was helped by an easy trip - may have a tougher time in this field.
RACE 5 - (3) DESIRES CAPTAIN gave it a big try dropping to 15s last week, battling a long way with the
classy MARINER SEELSTER before coming up 2nd best - gets a chance to make amends tonight. (1) SH
OREVIEW is 0 for 26 this year after going just 2 for 36 in 2022 - he does grab pieces, though, and draws
the pole tonight with a new trainer listed - maybe he can follow along for a decent chunk? (2) SURFER BE
ACH drew Post 8 shipping in last week so we'll give him a pass for not getting involved- gets a much better
spot for tonight, and may fit with this very modest bunch...chance to land in the exotics. (4) MAJESTIC KI
WI N enjoyed the easiest of trips last week and was able to get up for the win at the wire - another similarly
kind journey could help him be around tonight too. (5) THE BEST TYME EVER was making his 2nd start
for our leading trainer last week and didn't impress at all- not sure the switch to Bartlett will suddenly make
him a contender. (6) SOUTHWIND ONYX is just 1 for 27 this year and draws poorly for his YR return -
he does move to a new barn, however, so perhaps consider throwing in for 3rd/4th? (8) ZIGGY SKY had a
good start to grab the pocket last week but was outkicked home by two others - faces a tough task from post
8. (7) DAVIDS COMING HOME didn't function in his local return and lands well outside for tonight.
RACE 6 - (5) JMS FINAL TREASURE started to get sharp in late August and has just gotten even sharper
every week - he doesn't have to face the insanely sharp SIMON SAYS HANOVER tonight and while this is
still a very good field, a live trip may help him come out on top. (4) GREG THE LEG has been 1st or 2nd
in 17 of his 26 local starts this year, gets post relief, handles any kind of trip and is listed at 12-1 ML - has
to be worth a look! (2) PLEASELETMEKNOW beat this class twice in July and has always been fond of
racing at The Hilltop - he was freshened up recently, and that start in KY should have him ready for action
tonight - could be a very live player. (3) SOUTHWIND PETYR has been on extended form spree ever
since joining this very high % barn earlier this year - very real chance in here, but also figures to be
overbet. (1) ULTIMAROCA took some time off after beating this class twice - he had some issue and didn't
function in his first start back, but re-qualified sharply and seems to be just fine - may not be quite as tight
for tonight as some of the others, however. (6) RED RIGHT HAND was overbet last start, seemed destined
to finish off the board on the final turn but was able to kick in through the lane to win it, after the clear
leader just folded, and the race fell apart - don't think he'll be as fortunate tonight. (7) GREAT SOME
WHERE has 10 wins this year but lands in an absolutely brutal spot for tonight.
RACE 7 - (2) FIVE FISH SPECIES has hit board in all 9 local starts (9-2-4-3) and was just 2nd best to
total stickout DEVILISH HILL - she's clearly the one to beat tonight, but probably not one to bet the rent
money on at a pretty short price. (6) QUARANTINA has 16 wins at 2 and 3, even if most were at PA fair
tracks - she just won the Fair Final at PcD by 10 lengths, and now goes for a new barn and gets Brennan on
board - have to believe she'll fit nicely with these. (3) BEACON BEACH doesn't get a ton of credit for
beating 1 for 73 SQUABLE two back, but he did race well for 3rd last week behind DEVILISH HILL (just
behind the top choice) - can be a threat here on his best effort. (8) ROSE RUN YANKEE is probably as
good or better as any of these, but also makes breaks and draws all the way outside - that 20-1 ML price
does give him some appeal, though! (1) STRONGERWITHLINDY is just 3 for 50 but did hit board in 20
of those losses - not a bad 3rd last week, and chance for a minor piece tonight. (7) DIAMANTE TRIO IT
was a dull 3rd when wildly over bet (1/5) two back, but did race well for 2nd as the 6/5 choice last week -
the issue tonight is the draw, and he ]may end up overbet from a difficult spot. (5) WISTERIA HANOVER
sharpened recently then quickly went the other way - she did get caught behind a tired one last week, but it
may not have really mattered. (4) STRIKING COUNT returns to YR but he didn't have much success in his
last stint here (9-0-0-2).
RACE 8 - (3) MISSILE SEELSTER picked up a pair of 4ths vs. the 25s after being claimed but should
appreciate this drop back down to 20s - his main rivals in here are actually moving UP in class, and this guy
should still be a decent price. (6) WHAT ABOUT BOB clearly prefers things in the 15s but this really isn't
all that tough of a field - a good trip gives him a chance for 2 in a row. (8) MARINER SEELSTER steps up
off a gutsy win in 15s - would have preferred to see the 14YO back in for that same tag, but he still has a
chance to beat these too, even from Post 8. (1) PROVOCATIVEPRINCE N is the "x factor" tonight - he's
endured a dismal year but returns from Monti off an eye opening, total form-reversing win last week - can't
rule out the possibility that he has another good one in him. (4) VEL MR NICE GUY is 0 for 17 here over
the past 2 years with just one 2nd - still, he may be able to beat a bunch and take home a small piece. (2)
READY TO RUMBLE N is a one dimensional speedball that doesn't seem on his game right now - he may
also have a hard time stepping around the rail horse tonight...prefer others. (5) HES GONNA GETYA
hasn't been a serious player in a long time, usually lagging far too long to have any real say. (7) CAVIART
VAL will be coming from way back...and seems unlikely to reach contention from out here.
RACE 9 - (2) FACE THE Z TAM appears to have/had some issues, along with some real talent - she's been
good lately, and particularly sharp in that last win at PcD (for a new barn, off a bad date) - has definitely
earned top billing. (3) YS SENSATIONAL CITY is 17-7-7-0 in Quebec this year, and ships down for very
familiar connections - have a feeling she'll race better than her 8-1 ML price suggests. (6) TRUE BLU HA
NOVER, despite her winless in 2023 record, was racing very well throughout the summer in the NYSS -
she feels like she may have tailed a bit recently, and it's hard to know what to expect from her tonight -
solid chance for a good piece if anywhere close to her top game. (5) PRINCESS ARONA jogged (vs.
cheaper) in her first start for our leading barn but her next pair weren't as good - still has to be considered
for a small piece tonight. (7) GEORGIA THOMPSON was sent off at 5 cents on the dollar in her last (vs.
much easier) but gave way into the stretch, costing a "bridge jump" show bettor a large wager - she's in a
much tougher spot now, but it's hard to totally dismiss her at that 15-1 ML price (after looking like such a
stickout heading into last week)! (8) BLANK CHECK is another solid PA Fair performer that gets the same
trainer/driver switches as QUARANTINA (Race 7) - much tougher spot for this filly, however. (1) EA
AUDIT comes into this showing some good form, but still seems a bit below the main players...even from
the pole. (4) SHOWMEMAGIC has been away 25 days after a sick scratch - pass for tonight.
