RACE 1 - (2) SHNEONUCRZYDIAMND A has been uncharacteristically consistent lately, and against
some solid competition - his barn has also been doing well the past few weeks, and perhaps can pick up
another win in tonight's opener. (3) MIKES Z TAM is a strong 9 for 33 at Yonkers over the past 3 seasons,
and this a field that's right up his alley - good spot for Lachance to be aggressive tonight...and that would
give him a chance to be a very dangerous player. (7) BIG SIR has been in some difficult spots lately and
really hasn't been bad at all - his barn has been struggling for the past month or so, but at least this guy will
be a pretty nice price - worth considering. (1) PACE N PRIDE N was 4-2-1-1 to start off his U.S. career
before having some issue on 5/21 - hard to gauge his readiness off that last qualifier, so we'll likely lean
towards others this week.....but he'd hardly be a surprise! (5) WATERWAY has been sharp for some time,
but his only recent WIN came against cheaper - willing to include him underneath in exotics. (8) SHANW
AY N is going well right now for a barn having an excellent year - would have rated him higher if not for
the brutal draw. (4) IDEAL ARTILLERY comes into this off a pair of close 2nds, but vs. quite a bit easier -
may struggle a bit against these tougher foes. (6) CANTSTOPLYING can throw some big miles, but does
prefer to be on/near the lead - that seems unlikely for tonight, and we'll wait for a better spot.
RACE 2 - (2) MUSCLE JACK certainly enjoyed an easy trip in his win off the claim last week but it was
the EASE of victory that caught the eye (as he established a new lifetime mark) - meets several solid rivals
in here, but may be able to take another. (3) STONEBRIDGE GAMBLE comes into tonight riding a 3 race
win streak, and is 5-4-1-0 in his last 5 starts (and he's 10-6-2-0 on the year, with 7 holes in his only 2 off the
board finishes) - obviously a major threat! (6) SEVENTIER gets Bartlett back on board tonight and the pair
teamed up to crush the field in the Brennan Trotting Final, then flew home to just miss in NW30000 the
next start - another dangerous player. (4) HAT TRICK MARLEAU would normally have been the play here
dropping out of the Open but as noted, his barn has really struggled to send out winners this past month -
have to respect, but still leaning a bit more to others. (1) SMALLTOWNTHROWDOWN looked like a
winner last week before being reeled in late by #3 - classy 9YO is always a threat from a spot like this. (5)
VINNY DE VIE was handled conservatively last week (after breaking the week before) and did finish well
- this is just a very tough field! (7) KEYSTONE BLADE is feeling pretty good right now, but this is just a
brutal spot (especially with his owner at the lines, instead of Bartlett).
RACE 3 - Good race! (4) EL JACKO N rallied nicely for 4th two back then was VERY good last week,
launching a very long first over move from turn two , going up to challenge at 3/4s and still holding very
well for the show spot - loses Brennan, but figures to get an aggressive steer from Holland - we'll give him
a narrow nod. (6) KINNDER JACKSON has been claimed 7 of his last 10 starts so it's no surprise that he'll
be going for a new barn tonight (for an owner that has been claiming a bunch recently) - he's won half of
his 14 stars this year, and is a threat here to take another. (8) CAVIART SARGENT was off a bad date last
week but still turned in a strong 8 hole try for 4th - lands the same horrible post, but remains a good value
horse to consider. (1) ROCKIN JUKEBOX has been holding his own in solid conditioned fields lately -
drops back in for a tag, and a good trip could put him right there at the wire. (3) BARBADOS broke before
the start last week, but he'll do that sometimes - license to bounce right back for his new barn here. (2)
ARRYTHMIC SURGE added Lasix off the claim on 5/31 and beat a NW7500 field - moved up a notch and
was an ok 4th, then was no factor trying his luck against the 50s last week - that was from Post 8, though,
and he's eligible to be a lot more competitive from this spot. (7) BET ON BLAKE just missed at this level 2
back, but finished well behind in last - draws poorly tonight for a new barn, and will need some trip luck to
get into play from out here. (5) BLACK CHEVRON N beat the 40s last week but on the lead, in a fairly
slow mile - hard to say if the move up to 50s will agree with him.
RACE 4 - (4) MULLINAX came up 2nd best in a quick mile 2 back and was just in a terrible spot the next
week - gets what feels like a winning drop here, but note that he's been away for 3 weeks before falling too
much in love with him. (2) IDEAL LINER N was a game 2nd at this level 4 starts back - rallied well from a
tough spot 2 back, then rallied nicely for 3rd last week - should be able to have a big say here. (1) EHRMA
NTROUT hasn't been a threat lately but he's been facing tougher - his last 2 tries at this level produced a
win and a 2nd, and this feels like a spot where he can be a serious player once again. (3) FIZZING N may
have regained some confidence after last week's first over score vs. softer - good draw can help him grab a
piece of this. (7) GAMBLINGTERROR would normally be a player at this level but he may be a little off
form right now - perhaps the tote board can offer some clues for tonight? (8) DESIRES CAPTAIN took
advantage of the class drop and the lead to wire cheaper 2 back then finished ok from an impossible spot
last week - chance to grab a small piece if some trip luck comes his way. (5) VIVA LAS VEGAS N had to
re-qualify after having some issue here on 6/7 - hard to say how serious he'll be tonight, and hard to really
say how well he even stacks up against these. (6) TOPVILLE OLYMPIAN has been ok at Chester, but is
7-0-0-1 here at Yonkers in 2022 - leaning towards others.
RACE 5 - (4) WALKINSHAW N is used to facing better than these and generally holds his own - he was
able to pick up a win the last time he dropped to this level, and has a pretty decent shot to grab another one
tonight. (6) BETTERROCK was handled very conservatively last week after tiring badly the week before,
and responded with a good late finish - he's more than capable of beating these IF the trip goes his way. (8)
EXPLOIT was racing off a sick scratch last start but still came up super, pacing a final half in a sizzling :54
seconds and just missing to a rival with a much easier trip - legitimate chance tonight, but hard to get too
excited about a play when he's listed at 5/2 ML from Post 8! (5) ALEX TYE is hard to gauge here - he had
been holding form nicely as he climbed back up the class ladder but struggled in his last couple - he did
have excuses, however, so it's hard to say if he's actually tailing - suppose we'll get a better read after
tonight. (2) RHODENA ROAD beat #8 by a nose last week as he scored the upset at 47-1 - his barn has
been on fire lately, but this group may be a little more than he can handle. (3) CONBOYVILLE was sharp
for a bunch of starts after arriving here last year but struggled to get back to that form after finally tailing -
his recent PcD form is encouraging, but it's also vs. a bit easier- maybe a small piece? (1) NOWHERE
CREEK A lacked the pope he needed to be a more serious player last week, and the 4th place check he
picked up forces him to move up in class - prefer others. (7) KING JAMES EXPRESS ships in sharp from
Chester but mostly vs, lesser - he's 9-0-0-3 here over the last 2 years, and draws terribly for tonight.
RACE 6 - Tough race: (2) CARLISIMO landed on a horrible trip in his YR return and really raced better
than his line might look - he lands in a wide open affair tonight, and may be able to come out on top (at a
decent price) if things go his way this time. (7) ST LADS BEAT IT is 10-4-2-1 since arriving from Canada
and he's proven that he can win at this level (and maybe even higher, with the right trip) - will need luck
from out here, but still worth using if the price is right. (5) ROCKAPELO grabbed his first win for these
connection 3 back at Pocono, then rallied well here last week from an impossible - this feels like a big "go"
spot for him, but he also figures to be somewhat overbet - playable, but be careful if the price is too short.
(3) ROCKIN M has been delivering sharp miles for weeks, but hasn't gotten his picture taken in a while -
add him to the mix of possible winners. (4) ESCAPETOTHEBEACH beat this class on 5/3 and returns to
this level for the first time since - look for improvement over his most recent tries. (8) TRACEUR HANOV
ER has done fine work since being acquired in April, and can definitely hang with this type - Post 8 is the
obvious concern, and it's hard to figure a way for him into the hunt from out here. (1) MANKAT is just the
latest horse to improve significantly upon joining this high % barn, and was a winner here last week - this
is a much tougher field, however, and we'll see if he's good enough right now to be a contender. (6) PERFE
CTLY CLOSE probably needs to be in a little easier to be a serious player.
RACE 7 - (3) KEYSTONE PHOENIX rattled off 4 straight total blowout wins after joining this incredible
barn in late April - basically conceded from Post 7 in his next (at 19-1) but was sent off as the odds on
choice again last week and jogged on the front end - remains the one to beat. (1) HEISMAN PLAYER was
stuck coming first over to the top choice last start and held well for 4th into a sharp final half - may sit a
two hole trip tonight...and that would at least give him a fighting chance to run that one down. (5) MAJOR
BETTS was no match for #3 last time after sitting to his back - he's just 1 for 19 here over the past 2 years,
but does have eight 2nds - include underneath. (2) BECKHAMS Z TAM bumped up to this level two back
off the claim and chased nicely for 2nd off a two hole trip - had no chance sitting in the back last week but
the move back inside could see him take home a decent chunk tonight. (6) AMERICAN BOY N has been
very consistent lately, but moves up a notch tonight and lands Post 6 - may have to settle for a smaller share
this time. (4) JESSE DUKE N makes his 2nd start for connections that have been claiming up a storm
recently - was no threat last week, and may need to be in a little cheaper to do his best damage. (7) ROCKA
THON draws outside and the 75s may be a little tougher than he'd like to face - prefer others. (8) DON
DOMINGO was sent off favored for a new barn last week and easily wired the 50s - was claimed again that
night, draws Post 8, and ties it vs. the 75s now...not sure he can get the same results.
RACE 8 - (6) SHADOW CAT was used very hard last week and only nipped at the end by a fresh horse
(#5) - he loses Bartlett but he thrives at these levels, and looks attractive at that 8-1 ML price. (2) MYSWE
ETBOYMAX went south for a few starts but was back on his game last week, rallying nicely for 2nd to the
classy frontrunning winner - very live player here, though he may be overbet. (1) SAULSBROOK HERO
steps up another notch seeking his 4th in a row - he's one of a few sharp horses from this barn, and can't be
ignored in his current raging form (even bumping up in class). (4) PRETTY HANDSOME has just one start
over the last 6 weeks but it was a good looking victory (over a bit cheaper) - would be no surprise at all. (5)
CRUNCH HANOVER has won 2 of 3 since a recent barn change, charging home late to win from
seemingly hopeless spots each time - he's actually dropping in class off a win, and has to be respected. (7)
SON OF A TIGER N drops to a level he should love, but draws outside in a pretty good overall field -
maybe can rally for a minor piece? (3) BELTANE drops to a level he always thrives at, but may be off form
at the moment - perhaps the tote board will offer some clues? (8) ROCK LIGHTS is the outsider tonight,
both literally and figuratively.
RACE 9 - (1) BEE TWO BEE carved out a hot mile 2 back and it took a 1:49.4 mile from AMERICAN
COURAGE to beat him - got TOO hot after making the lead last week and can be forgiven for tiring after
that fiery 1:21.2 three quarters - no excuses from this spot. (4) DIAMONDBEACH chased the sizzling pace
that the top one cut out last time and that left him empty from the final turn - he can be a legitimate threat
with these, when on his best game. (3) OAKWOODINITOWINIT IR finished with good pace from
impossible spots in his last pair - moves inside for a small, but very potent barn and he can definitely make
some noise tonight. (8) DEAN B HANOVER has developed into a very nice 4YO, and he's better than his
1 for 19 record would suggest - faces an uphill battle from all the way out here, but would at least consider
if the price was really juicy. (6) ALWAYS AND AGAIN is good right now but gets no luck with the draw -
decent one to include for 3rd/4th, at a nice price. (5) WALKNAFTER MIDNITE had a mixed bag of efforts
from his 4 local starts - he has enough ability to have a late say here, but will need the trip to go his way for
that to happen. (2) ROCK CANDY picked up a win 2 back but that was largely due the way his trip played
out - will need to be sharper to be a player here. (7) NONE BETTOR A really disappointed last week after
a pair of victories - may take a conservative approach tonight after tiring so badly last week.
RACE 10 - (3) OUR MAX PHACTOR N was sneaky good 2 back then very good last week - he figures to
be ignored in the wagering again here, but he's a decent value horse with a chance for an upset. (1) LOUS
SWEETREVENGE has been banging heads with better and more than holding his own - he has 12 wins
here over the past 2 years, and is probably dropping in for the tag because barnmate DIAMONDBEACH
already took a spot in the NW30000 class - major threat. (4) MOTIVE HANOVER came up a little light in
the crucial stages the past 2 starts, but he's been undeniably sharp for weeks- legitimate chance here. (5)
IM SOME GRADUATE just wasn't himself last week, and gave way badly from the top of the lane - drops
right back in the box (and for the same $75K tag), so perhaps it was just a minor issue...very dangerous if
anything close to 100% tonight. (2) REAL PEACE landed on the perfect trip last week and was able to cash
in - not sure he'll be quite so fortuitous tonight, however. (8) ROLLING WITH SAM wasn't up for the
tough trip from a similar spot last week (off the claim) - he'll be a much bigger price this time if you think
he can rebound. (7) MOONLIGHT SHADOW has been steady for his current connections, but will need
lots of trip luck to have a big say from this difficult spot. (7) MACH N CHEESE is currently struggling,
and in need of wake up call.
RACE 11 - (4) WILD AND CRAZY GUY got used early last week and caved badly after giving way -
drops back in pretty quickly, and gets a drop in class - barn has gotten many of these to rebound quickly off
disappointing efforts so we'll go with this guy on top...but wouldn't bet the rent money at a very short price.
(7) LINDSEYS PRIDE was off to a rocky start after joining this barn in April but seemed to be headed in
the right direction - if you're willing to just ignore his last (when he left and got parked), that 20-1 ML price
sure does look appealing. (2) LOOK IN MY EYES was a dead game winner last week, refusing to let the
pocket horse go by - would be no surprise to see him take another. (3) ABSOLUT UNCERTENTY hot
board in 4 straight, including a 3rd last week (first try at this level) - good one to include in exotics. (1)
STRIKING GENSON may be a notch below these but he draws bets for a hot barn, and may be able to land
a piece of this. (5) FASHION FOREVER has only been able to pick up minor pieces lately, and that doesn't
figure to change tonight. (8 IN MY DREAMS finally grabbed his first win of the season last week (at PcD)
but figures to have a tough time getting in play from out here. (6) GREY wasn't bad last week in her first
try back off the layoff- tough draw tonight, and loses Bartlett's services as well.
