RACE 1 - (3) MIKI DE VIE was a winner in his seasonal debut at PcD but struggled a bit after moving up
to NW2 - debuted at Yonkers last week in a NW1 race and was a solid 2nd best behind the favorite...he's
the one to beat tonight. (6) KID DID IT shipped over after a win and a 2nd at Freehold and was a solid 2nd
in his Hilltop debut - seems the main danger, even with the outside draw. (5) VORACIOUS ships in from
PcD with an 0 for 16 career slate but he's been picking up smaller pieces on a regular basis - should be able
to do the same here, as well. (1) JONES BEACH DE VIE has just one career start (at PcD) and the jury is
still out on this guy - leaning towards a few others, but will check the tote board for any strong action. (3)
PAULS BANDIT is 16-0-0-1 and a move this year to one of our top barns hasn't helped - waiting for better
signs. (2) MIDNIGHT THUNDER has struggled mightily in all 4 career starts.
RACE 2 - 1 1/16th miles: (3) FLOW WITH JOE can be inconsistent for sure, but when he's "right" he can
bang heads with better than these - this is a field full of "suspect" players....maybe it's a spot where he can
come out on top? (1) HURRIKANEKINGJAMES would have normally been the clear choice from this
spot but he threw a rare disappointing try last week, and that makes the issue a little cloudier - he's also
listed at 7/5 ML, and figures to be overbet. (2) FLYING WINGARD A had no prayer at all in his first local
start then paced evenly from a tough spot in his last - gets a good draw, and this may be a spot where we
see a little better effort - possibility. (5) VELOCITY KOMODO would be a very dangerous player "on his
best" but his recent form suggests that he may be well off that top form right now - maybe this is a wake up
call opportunity? (6) DEETZY has the speed to blast out to a good trip here but he faltered badly from a
pocket trip last week and is just another risky proposition right now. (4) MISTER SPOT A broke early 2
back then was a dullish 4th in his last - wouldn't be stunned if he came up with a better effort this week.
RACE 3 - (1) WILDCAT ANTONIA just never fired last week but picked up a win and a pair of 3rds in
her prior 3 starts- meets a very soft $50K division tonight and any of those previous 3 starts would probably
make her a tough customer. (2) SEZANA N has been struggling lately, but probably less so than most of
her barnmates - her trainer did pick up a win this weekend, so maybe this mare can also step things up a bit
too. (4) VEL DONNA was nowhere to be found in her last 4 starts but they were all from terrible posts -
she moves inside tonight and does have 2 wins here not too long ago- ok to consider at a big price. (6) FLIP
THE SCRIPT wasn't bad last week, showing good speed early and finishing ok after clearing a shuffle in
the stretch - needs to work out a trip from this tough spot, however. (3) TUGGINGONCREDIT hasn't been
"sharp" in some time, and hasn't raced in a month - hard to get excited about her chances for tonight. (5)
ACEFOURTYFOUR ALEX hasn't been on her best game in some time, though she did tough out a 2nd last
week - prefer others, but wouldn't be shocked if she was able to make at least a little noise.
RACE 4 - (3) MY MIKI BEACH is 5-1-3-1 since returning from the long layoff, and came up 2nd best to a
pair of sharp winners the last 2 weeks- should be headed right to the top tonight, and he's the one they'll
have to catch and beat. (5) WILLIAM HANOVER used a perfect two hole trip to score in his YR debut
(NW4, new barn) then raced very well again in last (up in class), kicking home full of pace for 3rd from a
tough spot - a live trip could give him a chance to upset here. (4) JK GOING WEST threw a dud last week
but was very sharp in his 2 prior tries - a return to that top form could make him a player here. (1) LOUS
THE ATTITUDE was sharp in both NW2 starts but couldn't quite get it done in NW4 last time, and now
bumps up to face even tougher - he can still be in the mix, but a few others look more appealing for the top
slot. (2) YO AJ has 2 wins from his 6 local tries and did race ok in a couple of the losses - he may prefer to
be in a little cheaper, but the jury is still out. (6) TWO FACED has leveled off since moving up to NW6,
picking up only smaller pieces - the bad draw isn't going to help his cause tonight.
RACE 5 - (2) HUNTING ZONE was a good 2nd three back, broke his maiden the next week but was
VERY good in his last, almost upsetting the 1/20 favorite - deserves the edge tonight in this pretty evenly
matched NW2 field. (3) LAZ shipped in off a 1:51.4 score at PcD but came up terrible - it would be way
too soon to write this guy off, and he may be worth using here as long as the price is decent. (4) FUGLEM
AN finally broke his maiden in his 20th start last week but his overall form has been steady lately - could
easily be part of it again tonight. (5) ONE CRAZY GUY was a game front end winner last week...which
was really not all that surprising since his previous start was sharper than it looks on paper - he's another
that fits with these, and is eligible to have a big say. (6) CANT SWAY ME has only managed a couple of
quiet 3rds since arriving here recently- draws poorly, and seems destined for only a minor share. (1) FENDI
HANOVER lands the pole but will need to be sharper than he has been if he hopes to be a serious player.
(7) BEST BETTOR gets his first bad draw in a long time and that figures to really hurt his chances. (8)
PINE BUSH ITALIANO draws all the way outside after making a break last week - will just observe.
RACE 6 - (4) IM HUNGRY looked like a stickout coming into last week and was sent off at FIVE CENTS
on the dollar....but had to work mighty hard just to barely hang on - have to believe that was nowhere near
his best and that we'll see a lot sharper version tonight....but that does make him seem at least a bit more
vulnerable tonight, facing a much better field. (7) EXCURSION was winless in 9 starts at 2 but has already
taken 5 of his 10 starts as a 3YO - picks up Bartlett for his local debut and he does look appealing at that
10-1 ML price - worth considering. (1) MORE THAN YA KNOW was sent off 1/2 for his local debut, had
things all his own way but faltered in the stretch and weakened to 3rd with no excuses - he's another that
seems capable of better, and perhaps we'll see it from him tonight. (5) WE SHALL SEA was hammered at
the windows 4 back and delivered a dominant front end score - he was really sharp from Post 8 two back
but lost all chance at the start last week when he made a costly miscue - he's one that could definitely
outperform his odds tonight. (3) ON DAYBOO seems to have some ability but we haven't been seeing
enough of it lately - consider for a minor share only. (8) ONTOP RAINMAN raced well for pieces in his
first 3 local tries then was able to cash in on a beautiful trip last week to score at 9-1-- will have a hard time
replicating that from Post 8, however. (6) AMBITIOUSBEACHBOY bounced back with a better effort last
time but draws poorly for tonight and may have trouble getting in play. (2) ARMED BANDIT is still trying
to find some form in 2023.
RACE 7 - (4) DON DOMINGO N was a solid 4th in his return from the layoff - he was well backed and
aggressively handled in his next, but came up just a little short to a sharp, repeat winner - we'll stay on
board as he looks to grab his first win of the season tonight. (6) OZONE BLUE CHIP never got involved
after drawing back to back 8 holes but was a much bigger player last week, enduring a tough trip and
finishing 3rd (where the top choice finished 2nd) - he's won WAY too many times here to ignore tonight.
(2) MACHEASY A would look better in a little cheaper but he ships in sharp from Tioga, draws inside, and
does have a chance to land somewhere on the ticket (at a decent price). (8) CAVIART SARGENT kept
outracing his odds when he picked up 4 straight 3rds in the 3-5YO Open - he threw a clunker 2 back but
rebounded last week with a sharp rallying 4th - brutal draw, but a good bomb for 3rd/4th. (3) KEYSTONE
PHOENIX has been away since Sept. and resurfaces tonight for a new (top) barn - guessing he'll need a
start or two, but a quick peek at the tote board wouldn't hurt. (5) LOUS BEACH is a solid 10-3-2-0 here
this year but is also unreliable - leaning towards others. (7) KASHED UP A was a heavily backed winner
returning from PA last week but he's up in class and lands outside - tough spot. (1) MY CARBON COPY N
has been away for 3 weeks, may be a bit cheap, and has his owner at the lines - prefer others.
RACE 8 - 1 1/16th miles: (4) SIMON SAYS HANOVER missed all of 2022 and was floundering in
Canada to start off 2023....but immediately upon arriving at the barn of one of our highest % trainers he
turned things right around, and enters tonight with a 3 race winning streak...he'll be the prohibitive choice
to extend that streak to 4. (3) GARDYS LEGACY A was having a very tough 2023 season until that
surprise victory in the half mile dash 2 back - he followed that up with an excellent 2nd to the top choice
last week, and may be able to complete the exacta once more. (5) NIGHT WATCHMAN looked like he was
going to rally for 2nd last week but he was a little too steppy to really drive in the lane and he had to settle
for 3rd - maybe he can do better this week if he's a little smoother? (2) SIX FEET APART was an odds-on
winner last week but he was tiring late and not overly impressive - we'll see if our leading trainer can have
him a bit sharper for tonight. (1) THREE IN HEAVEN A sat the pocket last week and almost upset #2 -
draws best, and may be able to land somewhere on the ticket. (6) BONDI SHAKE N picked up a 3rd last
week but that mostly thanks to the easy trip - may have a tougher time from this tougher spot. (7) PRO
BEACH trailed all the way from a similar spot last week.
RACE 9 - (6) GOLDEN QUEST N has come a close 2nd best (to sharp winners) in each of her last 3 starts
- she loses the rail (which she had in all 3 of those starts), but that should also help her price tonight- maybe
this is the week she gets the job done? (7) COWGIRL LILLY is 11-5-5-1 since arriving from Canada and
was a winner in her last pair over the top choice - she's shown she can win from out here, and definitely had
a chance for the "threepeat". (5) MIKI ROSE has burned $$ much of the year and finished 4th in her last
pair (behind the top two) - she does draw inside of them tonight, and the right trip would give her a chance
to turn the tables on them. (4) PAIGES GIRL left the gate last week and that helped her pick up a 3rd -
probably looking at only another small piece tonight. (1) SIRI BLUE CHIP just didn't fire in the lane last
week - she's capable of better, and maybe we'll see that from the pole - ok for 3rd/4th. (3) CORAL BELLA
is a streaky mare that has gone in the wrong direction lately- waiting for better signs from her. (2) LARJON
LEAH has been struggling, and that includes a last place finish in NJ 4 days ago - sticking with others.
RACE 10 - (2) THE REGULATOR gets class relief tonight and was an easy winner the last time he
dropped to this level - deja vu? (4) UNDRTHSOUTHRNSUN N held his own much better than expected
throughout the Borgata Series but has been unable to thrive against easier since the series ended - maybe
this could be a good wake up spot for him? (5) GROOVY JOE has been bravening up vs. easier, producing
2 wins and 2 seconds from his last 4 starts - he has the back class to handle tonight's class jump, and may
be able to grab a good piece of this. (7) KOMODO BEACH found a soft spot shipping in last week and was
able to pick up the first win of his 5YO campaign - he moves up AND draws poorly, so we'll see if he can
build off last week's success and be a player here too. (3) SOHO LENNON A qualified back nicely after
some time off - guessing he'll need a start or two before we see his best. (6) CHANTEE figures to be
coming from well out of it, but still may be able to rally for a minor share, with the right trip. (1) STATE
SENATOR struggled vs. easier in his last couple and has to move up tonight - not sure the rail is enough to
make him a player. (8) MY ULTIMATE STAR A draws poorly once more but at least a win comes off the
bottom of his card after tonight.
