RACE 1 - (7) KEYSTONE DASH served notice 2 back that he could be ready for a big effort...and that's
exactly what happened last Friday, as worked out the two hole trip from Post 7, then jogged at the end - was
eligible at time of entry to this same bottom class, and has a solid chance to make it 2 wins in 5 days. (4)
LUCIANO N drops in class while moving inside off a pair of no chance 7 holes - can definitely have a
bigger say tonight. (1) SHINY BLACK BEAMER benefited last week from a "fall apart race", but still
rallied nicely from well back - figures to be an up close player tonight from start to finish, and belongs in
your exotics. (3) SECRECY finished right behind #1 last week, also benefiting from the trip - chance for a
small piece tonight too. (5) CAPTIVATE HANOVER has been well off his best for some time - figures to
come around one of these nights, but that 2-1 ML price makes him pretty unattractive for tonight. (6) FRO
MASHESTOASHES N hasn't been a factor in any of his recent Yonkers starts - waiting for some better
signs. (2) SETTLEMOIR is 19-0-0-2 here over the past 3 seasons.
RACE 2 - Short field, but well matched: (1) TAVA has been solid in all 4 of her starts this year, and was
right there in her last couple - looking at a good trip here (pocket, or top), and maybe tonight she can pick
up her first win of the season. (3) OAKWOOD CORAL IR won her first 3 local tries (after shipping in
from The Maritimes), and has been knocking on the door in her last 4, since moving up in class - very
dangerous player. (5) COZ IM SPECIAL was very difficult to handle in her local debut but was light years
better in her last pair, and has proven that she's as good at the top pair - hard to predict her trip, though, so
insist on a decent price if going with her on top. (4) CAVIART CARMEL showed plenty of promise at 2,
going 8-5-2-0 in her freshman season - qualified back nicely at Pocono but she's been away for 6 months,
and facing some sharp, older mares tonight - should still race well, but may be looking at a bit smaller piece
(2) BUMP IN THE ROAD finally grabbed a win on 3/16th but only TWO horses were left in the race after
an early incident - no factor at all moving up in class the next week, and now has been away a month due to
sickness. (6) PARTY QUEEN has been away since Nov., and those qualifiers suggest she'll need a start.
RACE 3 - (3) LOOK IN MY EYES found a spot in 4th from Post 7 last week but shook free way too late
to do any damage (but definitely appeared to have good trot) - drops, draws much better, and is one of
several dropdowns in here with a chance at the top prize. (2) CAVALIER GEORGE exits the Brennan
Series and his connections probably thought they could slip into an easy basement condition field and grab
an easy win - it turns out this field is a lot tougher than expected, but he's still a solid threat from this spot.
(7) LINDSEYS PRIDE was claimed for $50K two back - landed on a very tough trip in his first try for new
connections, but was still right there 3rd -- draws poorly here, but a good trip could put him right there on
the wire. (8) TIMESTORM was much better last start, despite racing off a sick scratch - was looking
forward to using him in his next, but he's now missed 3 weeks once again, AND draws Post 8....may still
use, as long as he's a pretty good price. (5) OOH RAH lands at the bottom level and could easily come to
life here - he's also just 1 for 32 here over the last 3 years, and offers no value (on top) at that 5/2 ML price.
(1) PREACHER MAN was doing good work vs. lesser at Monti, but these are much tougher - wait for an
easier field. (4) MISS YOU KELLY generally struggles in much softer fields than this one - prefer others.
(6) ZOOMING had to re-qualify after 2 breaks and this seems like a rough spot to consider the 14 year old.
RACE 4 - John Brennan Trotting Series, Leg #3: (6) SEVENTIER returned sharp off the layoff, finishing
3rd behind a pair of classy foes in a $75K claimer - jogged in his next in the first leg of this series, then was
terrific again last week, forcing a hot :27.2 quarter before yielding, then still full of trot at the end to be a
close 2nd - the one to beat. (3) P L OSCAR has really developed into a solid trotter since changing barns
back in Feb. - has showed that he can race from off the pace as well, and he's a good one to include in
exotics. (5) PLUMB has been racing well pretty much every week, and now goes with Lasix tonight - may
be even sharper, and will definitely make her presence felt here. (2) STRIKING GENSON broke in the
pocket last week, recovered to catch the pack then re-rallied for 3rd - he's been solid almost every week,
and could easily land somewhere on the ticket tonight. (7) SHADRACK HANOVER had to re- qualify
after a break in the first leg - has plenty of ability, but may be limited tonight with the terrible draw. (1)
THE IRISHMAN wasn't bad 2 back but really struggled in his last - hard to back with any confidence. (4)
SOOT HANOVER was no factor in either series start so far.
RACE 5 - (3) MARVELOUS KISS wasn't bad in her YR debut, finishing just behind 4 mares who would
all be heavily favored against these - we'll give her top billing in this shaky field, as her talented young pilot
looks to pick up his 2nd Yonkers victory. (5) PULL ME THROUGH has faced better in most of her local
starts, often from tough spots - definitely can be a player with this crew, but her 8-0-0-0 local record makes
it hard to select her on top at that 5/2 ML price! (4) KATHYS MOMENT has also had limited success vs.
better, but figures to be a bigger player with these - ok for exotics. (6) WIGGLE MY COOKIE ships in
from Dover with some nice looking lines, but she exits a high % barn and joins a local outfit still looking
for their first win of 2022 - she also draws all the way outside after missing 3 weeks, and that just seems
like a lot to overcome. (2) MAJOR LOVER was well backed for 2022 return, was given the front end, and
ended up getting beat by a mare that never wins - using underneath only, for now. (1) PINE BUSH LIBER
TY picked up a trip 3rd last week, but her overall YR form has been lacking - suppose a piece is possible
with another inside draw.
RACE 6 - John Brennan Trotting Series, Leg #3: (1) B NICKING can be a pretty nice trotter when he
behaves and showed that last week, when he picked up a game, first over victory - he'd certainly have a
good chance to win cutting this mile, but he may also be able to get the job done sitting the pocket to #5 -
we'll give him the narrow call. (5) HAT TRICK MARLEAU was a 3/5 winner in the first leg, then jogged
at 15 cents on the dollar last week - the road to the winner's circle goes through him. (3) TRANQUILITY K
was making his first start of the year in Leg #1 and came up a bit short - was tighter for his last, and was a
no threat 2nd to HAT TRICK MARLEAU - can pick up another good piece tonight. (2) BAZILLIONAIRE
should be sitting closer to the pace this week, and that may help him grab a share - use for 3rd.4th. (4) BIG
CHARLIE MORAN really needs to be in a lot easier to have any realistic chance - he'll be looking to save
ground, and maybe take home a minor share. (7) GOLDEN GENES disappointed in the first leg but was a
pretty nice 2nd last week - not sure he'll be able to get into the mix from all the way out here, though. (6)
VINNY DE VIE was no factor in Leg #1, then made a break at Chester last week - outside draw tonight
won't help his cause.
RACE 7 - (6) FULL RIGHTS has been much sharper the past few starts, and was very good in his last -
gets a tough draw (again) tonight, but that also means a better price - decent value play in a race with a few
different possibilities. (3) OUR WHITE KNIGHT can be a little camera shy, but he's sharp right now, and
likely looking at a nice trip here - very live player. (7) IM THE MUSCLE drops back down to the level he
beat on 3/2, and his barn has been sending out some live ones lately - if he can get a quick start from Post 7,
he does have the potential to spring an upset. (5) ALL CHAMPY is a steady player in this class, but he's
also just 1 for 13 at Yonkers - inclined to just use underneath, but would consider on top if the price was
really attractive. (1) IT AINT THE WHISKY has a few recent tries that could land him a piece - use in
exotics. (4) FASHION CREDITOR was way overbet last week but somehow managed to hang on by a
nose, helped greatly by a very soft pace, and a terrible drive for IN MY DREAMS - he's listed at 2-1 ML
facing better this week, and once again seems a good one to take a stand against. (8) LIMERENCE is good
right now, but not "use him from the 8 hole up in class" good....maybe can rally for a minor share? (2)
LEVATOR bailed from the Brennan series last week and made a break - recent shipper still trying to find
his proper class.
RACE 8 - John Brennan Trotting Series, Leg #3: (3) LADY ANN NO was doing a lot of winning without
ever having to really be used hard, or "trot fast" - she did get beat last week, but trotted home in :28 to
make the favorite work hard to hold her off, and that was probably her best effort so far -- she may have a
trip edge over her main rival tonight, and that may be enough to get her back to the winner's circle. (4)
EMOTIONS RICHES was an excellent 3rd in the first leg despite racing from well off the pace, off a bad
date - simply rushed up early to take control and jogged last week, and he's hitting on all cylinders right
now - the main danger. (5) TOP ME OFF showed up for the first leg for a new barn, and having been away
for 6 months...but still was able to charge home through the lane to score the 19-1 upset - was caught too
far back last week and only able to rally for 3rd, but may be able to be a threat here if the trip goes his way.
(2) SEVENSHADESOFGREY was on a roll heading into the series but took back to last the first week and
never got close, then blew up at the start in his last - his price will be pretty decent tonight if you think he
might rebound to his best effort. (7) DC ANNA used a quick start last week to grab a close up trip, but still
weakened to 4th in the lane - she can probably leave for a spot in here too...and maybe stick around a little
better at the end this time. (1) CREATIVE VENTURE rallied nicely for 3rd in the first leg, but wasn't
nearly as effective in his last - needs to bring that good version if he hopes to bring home a piece. (6) HEA
RTOFGOLD DEVIE is usually good for a decent finish, but may be coming from too far back tonight.
RACE 9 - (1) BIZET hasn't won since 2/18 but he's usually right there every start...and that includes last
week's excellent 3rd from Post 8 -- moves all the way inside, and may land on a winning trip tonight. (3)
SMALLTOWNTHROWDOWN couldn't quite finish the job last week but that doesn't mean he won't do it
tonight (as he did for 3 straight weeks prior to his last) - it's been a while since a trainer/driver combo has
dominated the nightly action so significantly as this pair has in recent months! (4) D P ROCKET finished
2nd at the bottom level 3 back but won his next at PcD, and was really sharp winning here on Fri. night - a
similar effort could make him a big threat against these too. (7) SO LONG HANOVER returned from
Dover with some less than stellar form, but that didn't stop him from trotting over the field at 31-1 last
week in his Hilltop return - can he replicate that from Post 7? (6) ON HIGHER GROUND is a pretty
reliable performer and just beat these 3 starts back - always possible, but the barn did send out a few duds
on Tues, night. (2) STEUBEN HANOVER was a trip 3rd 2 back but really hasn't clicked (overall) since the
recent claim - respect his connections, but still leaning toward others. (5) VOYAGE TO PARIS has his
moments, but this doesn't feel like a great spot for him.
RACE 10 - Very short field...but a good race! (5) THINK OF GALAXIES showed ability at 2 and 3,
finishing just behind the incredible Test Of Faith a few times (including a 2nd here at Yonkers) - qualified
back nicely for her 4YO campaign, and just missed in her first start of the year (at PcD) - we'll give her a
look tonight. (2) BABS JANSEN had been sharp for a few starts, finally delivering the easy win last time
as the 7/5 choice - she's been off 3 weeks, but the guess is that she'll be ready for action. (1) PLZDONTLIE
TOME N was 2nd and 3rd in her first 2 U.S. starts then won her last pair - this is a tougher field, so we'll
see if she can continue her streak against these. (6) GINGER TREE LIZ finished 5th in her first start back
in 2022 but has 2 wins and 2 thirds since then - lands outside, but still has to be respected as a legitimate
threat against these. (4) THUNDRA moves from an ultra-high % barn to an outfit that really struggled here
the past 2 years - the outsider tonight, for sure.
RACE 11 - (8) WILD AND CRAZY GUY has settled into a good groove and will look to make it 3 in a
row tonight, from Post 8....and he lands in a field where there's a good chance that will happen. (1) FASHI
ON FOREVER has become a steady performer in this class, and the draw should provide him with a pretty
nice trip - good chance to land somewhere on the ticket. (2) HATIKVAH has won 3 of 4 starts since
returning to YR, and his last was probably his best - switches pilots for tonight, but should still be able to
take home a good piece from this spot. (4) MOMMS MY DAD got sharp a while back and has held that
form even at these higher levels - good one to use for 3rd/4th at that 20-1 ML price. (5) TORKIL is having
his best season in ages, and is another that belongs on the bottom of your exotics. (7) CASINO CUTIE IT
drops out of the FM Open and while she does fit with these, the poor draw may hurt her chances tonight.
(3) MUSCLE STAR has been having a fine year for his small barn but would really appreciate racing in an
easier spot than this. (6) MANHATTANUP NO ICE is struggling now - waiting for some signs of life
before hopping back on his team.
