RACE 1 - (6) ROSALINE was already showing ability prior to last week's barn change...so it was no
surprise to see her race so well in her Yonkers debut (dominating from Post 8, as the 7/5 favorite) - the class
was opened up to allow her to still fit ("NW25,411 lifetime"), and she remains the one to beat. (3) BARRE
BELLA qualified super in Chicago for her career debut so it's pretty shocking that she was sent off at 25-1
-- she raced super again and jogged that night, and was quickly scooped up by the hottest barn on the planet
-- makes her local debut here, and has to be seen as the main danger to the top choice. (5) BANK BREAKS
is a rock solid player at this level, and comes off a sharp 2nd - it'll hurt losing Brennan, but she should still
be able to be part of the equation. (7) LIVINGONTHERAIL can be a bit unreliable, but fits well on his best
effort - worth including underneath. (4) NINETEEN CRIMES showed some promise at 2, but then missed
TWO years - couple of decent qualifiers, and she now goes for a trainer/driver duo that has been doing
good work together - we'll see if she's tight enough to be a player. (1) DELIGHTFUL SKY AS seems to
have some ability, but this is a tough spot for a green 2YO filly to make her local debut - we'll keep an eye
on her. (2) HL MAMMOTH has offered little in his 4 career (out of town starts) - prefer others. (8)
HALLWAY BABE finally got re-qualified after 3 straight miscues - pass tonight from Post 8.
RACE 2 - (3) NORMANS MADELINE has been somewhat of an "all or nothing" mare the last couple of
seasons - she chased well for 2nd in a much better effort last week, and lands in a spot where Dube can be
aggressive - one of several live players in here. (4) ALWAYS A MIRACLE was used very hard just to find
the pocket from Post 8 last week, and can be forgiven for falling apart late (in a very hot mile) - look got a
much better effort tonight. (2) SCANDALICIOUS showed better life 2 back, but lost all chance when
trapped and shuffled last week - chance here with the right trip. (6) CASH ROLL has held her own with
MUCH better than these, but has also disappointed as the odds on choice in 2 of her last 3 starts - at least
the price will be a lot better if you want to stick with her tonight. (1) ACEFOURTYFOUR ALEX is 0 for
21 in 2022 and was just 2 for 36 last year (but usually tries hard, and grabs pieces) - leaning towards others,
but she does have the rail with Bartlett -- wouldn't be a shock. (5) CABOWABOCUTTIE is 0 for 35 over
the last 2 years, and 0 for 51 at Yonkers over the past 3 -- hard to consider for anything other than a minor
piece. (8) ANNE BONNEY hasn't been terrible, but she also hasn't been good...and that's how she now
finds herself at the bottom level - prefer to wait for a better spot. (7) BACI BACI draws poorly for her YR
return and has never had any luck here in the past.
RACE 3 - (2) GOLDEN QUEST N was a close 3rd against much better 2 back (at PcD), then jogged at this
level at Chester last week - draws well, picks up Bartlett, and has a good chance to make it 2 in a row. (1)
ALTA MADEIRA N should be the main danger - finished solidly for 3rd from Post 8 last week, and has
been sharp (in general) for a long time- the one with the best chance to knock off the top one (3) SUMMER
RAE has endured a difficult 4YO season (just 1 win, 1 second from 16 starts) but she figures to end up with
a pretty good trip with the two inside of her controlling the action - decent chance for small piece. (6) COM
MANDER CATHY N is 0 for 20 here since arriving from Down Under, and still seeking her first U.S. win
- she's probably better than several of these, but draws poorly and has been away for 3 weeks - could use
some trip luck in her quest to land a piece of this. (8) LINE EM UP is 2 for 2 since joining the Dynamic
Duo but now moves up in class while drawing all the way outside - tough assignment. (4) VEL DONNA
has been a solid player for some time, albeit vs. cheaper - maybe she can save ground to earn a minor share
(5) GREENHILL HANOVER was an even 5th last week - chance for another minor piece with an easy
trip. (7) LADY DELA RENTAA has won her last two starts, but facing much easier, and on the
lead/pocket -- this figures to be a much tougher task.
RACE 4 - (1) WILY WALLY shipped in sharp from Plainridge and despite some recent inactivity, was
handled very aggressively - he made a break on the 3rd turn, but drops right back in the box and probably
deserves another chance....just don't take too short a price. (4) WEE JILL arrived showing solid Chester
form and raced well in her local debut, coming up 2nd best to a very sharp BIG CHARLIE MORAN - very
live player tonight. (7) BACKSTREET PLAYER was making his first PM start in 2 months last week but
was able to deliver a sharp front end score - possible repeater, although the trip figures to be tougher up in
class, from Post 7. (8) P C FREE WHEELING trotted a solid final 3/8ths last start to rally for 3rd from a
tough spot - she fits well with these, but could be facing another tough trip from all the way out here. (2)
EXCHEQUER is 0 for 9 this year and just 1 for 23 at Yonkers - he has grabbed several 2nds and 3rds, and
is never a bad one to include underneath. (5) SOUTHERN SWAN MAN had a solid 2021 season but is just
1 for 15 to start 2022 and doesn't seem all that good at the moment - prefer others. (3) MATT SO SURE is
5-0-0-0 locally and off a sick scratch - pass for now. (6) JESSIES OUTLAWED has struggled all year,
currently with a 14-0-1-0 slate.
RACE 5 - (4) SIESTA BEACH was used very hard last week and raced super, coming up 2nd best to the
drop down winner that she did all the heavy lifting for - she drops another notch, and this is a field she
should beat. (2) STELLENBOSCH was used very hard early to earn that pocket seat last week, but still was
able to finish well to pick up 2nd - may be able to step around THUNDRA here and grab another two hole
trip...with another good result. (6) MIKI ROSE was class tested taking on older rivals last week and passed
with flying colors, looping to the lead, yielding, then scoring the "pocket rocket" victory - another quick
start would help her chances for another good piece tonight. (5) BABS JANSEN was looped early by MIKI
ROSE last week, made her way to the top but couldn't quite hang on in the lane - solid chance for a good
piece...as long as she lands on a manageable trip. (1) THUNDRA was too far back to get involved last
week but had been racing well prior to that - should be closer to the action tonight, and may be able to
sneak onto the ticket somewhere. (7) WESTERN ROSIE raced well for her new barn last week, rallying for
2nd behind GOLDEN QUEST N at Chester - not sure if she'll be able to work out a manageable trip from
this spot, however. (3) BRUSH N CRUSH used an easy trip to pick up 2nd vs. cheaper last week - may find
this crew a little too tough, though. (8) HP XANADU will get a more serious look when she draws
better....preferably down in class.
RACE 6 - Tough race: (7) ASHTINI may be worth a stab in here - she had excuses in her last pair vs.
better (bad drive 2 back, 8 hole in last), and put in a couple of very nice tries back in June...the last times
Stratton was on board - if she can somehow land on a good trip here, she may be able to pull off the upset.
(3) ROC KNROLL SHELLI probably should have been able to hang on 2 back but to be fair, the (pocket)
winner that night did come back to win again the next week - she did finish well from Post 8 last start, and
the move back inside could make her a legitimate player. (8) AMERICAN TOUR N has been sharp for
weeks, and she CAN leave the gate if asked - would absolutely include her if the price is decent (which it
should be). (5) SPORTS FLIX would be a strong threat in here if anything close to her best....the issue is
that she hasn't been close to that for several starts - needs a big wake up call. (6)
LADYBELUCKYTONITE has some solid overall recent form, but she's just 1 for 19 this year and draws
outside - insist on a big price if using her on top. (2) SOUND IDEA has been coming up short of
expectations for a while - will need to perk up for a chance at a top prize. (1) TOBAGO TIME moved to a
new barn last week but failed to improve on her poor current form - this may be the week she wakes up, but
it would be hard to recommend her at that 2-1 ML price! (4) DRAGON SPARKS takes on older, and will
have to prove that she's up for it.
RACE 7 -(3) REACHTHRUTHESKY AS has been a rock solid Yonkers performer, fits this class perfectly
and can race on or off the pace - we'll give her the narrow nod in a field with a few strong players. (1) DAR
BY HANOVER wasn't on her game last week but she's been very consistent, and it's probably a good sign
that she drops right back in the box- eligible to trip out from this spot, and that would make her a dangerous
threat. (4) IMPRINCESSGEMMAA had a tough trip off 3 weeks last time so she probably deserves a pass
- drops right back in, drops in class, and may play "catch me if you can" tonight. (2) TECHYS ANGEL
couldn't fully sustain her bid last week but wasn't far back in 4th at the wire - an easier trip could make her
a late threat. (7) MAGICAL MISTRESS has been sharp for weeks, but gets no luck with the draw here -
still may be able to rally for a piece, if things go her way. (5) CHUPPAH ON really elevated her form after
joining this small, but incredibly successful barn - she last raced (in Ohio) 4 weeks ago, so she may be at a
fitness disadvantage for her Hilltop return. (6) HEAVENISSOFARAWAY landed on a perfect trip last week
and rolled on by cheaper easily - figures to have a lot harder time with these, however.
RACE 8 - (1) HEY LIVVY just unraveled up in Canada in June and is now trying to get back to her "beast
mode" - last week wasn't great, but it was a step in the right direction - if she shows up anywhere close to
her best tonight, she's going to be a handful from this spot. (7) I DA PRINCESS was very sharp in Canada
before the barn change but she's really elevated her game since Yannick purchased her 6 starts back -
legitimate chance to make it 2 in a row, even with the poor draw. (4) QUEEN OF ALL earned nearly
$200K at 3 and she's been able to make a successful transition to facing older mares as a 4YO - finished
with plenty of trot for 3rds in her last pair, and can be a serious late threat here if the race falls her way. (3)
THANKFUL NO has back class, but has struggled to get untracked so far in 2022 (6 starts) - prefer to wait
for some better signs before considering her for a top spot. (2) KANDY SWEET can come up with a big
one at any time but really seems to prefer being in a bit easier - small piece? (6) LADY JETER brings a 2
race win streak into tonight but she'll be tackling much tougher here, and from a tough post - leaning to
others. (5) WHAT SHOULD I GOO is racing well for the Super Siblings but she's a 3YO filly with 15
career starts taking on some seasoned, classy mares - not a fan at that 3-1 ML price.
RACE 9 - (5) MORNING HAS BROKEN benefited from both the class drop and live trip to pick up the
victory last week - gets a free ride in the class and while the trip may not turn out quite as perfect, she still
has a good chance to take another. (6) GINGER TREE LIZ is really sharp right now, but can't catch a break
with the draws - at the right price, she's worth considering (hoping Bartlett can find her a manageable
journey). (1) DRAGONS LUCKY LADY was taking on good older mares here at the end of her 3YO
season and doing incredibly well - she's had trouble getting things going at 4 (in Ohio, since returning from
a long layoff), but she was a little better in her last (adding Lasix), and it may be a good sign that they're
sending her East - possibility. (4) JODY ships back in off a sharp Chester win, but she's always "hit or
miss" here at Yonkers - would like her better if she wasn't the ML favorite! (2) DANCE CLUB followed
the top choice last week and paced home steadily for 3rd - could easily pick up a good chunk of this with a
good trip. (7) DC BATGIRL has been struck too far back to be a player lately...and may face that same
dilemma tonight. (3) DBLDELITEBRIGADE N had been on a nice roll before breaking early last week
(after blasting into the first turn) - guessing she'll be handled fairly conservatively tonight.
RACE 10 - (6) FLIP THE SWITCH looked to be going the wrong way for a couple of starts but he righted
the ship quickly, and has just been beastly in his last couple (and has shown the ability to "relax and rally",
very important in his progression) - not a great draw, but still pretty tough to go against him right now. (3)
BIG CHARLIE MORAN is in career form right now, and has been doing well from both on and off the
pace - good one to include in exotics. (1) SEVENSHADESOFGREY cut the mile last week and did well to
hold 2nd after the top choice blew past him into the stretch - solid chance for another board spot tonight. (4)
YUCATAN PARTY MAN is finally starting to put it all together (about 50 starts into his career) and returns
from Chester in the best form of his life - another with a solid chance to have a say tonight. (5) TIT ANS
HOPE leaves well and stays trotting...and that helps her to pick up her share of decent pieces - may be able
to do that tonight, as well. (2) MUSCLE DYNASTY is pretty unreliable, but he's also shown to be a decent
horse WHEN he starts trotting - chance he could rally for a piece....if he behaves. (7) CREATIVE
VENTURE isn't bad right now, but faces an uphill battle trying to get involved from out here. (8) JIVE
NINETY FIVE lands Post 8 after being no factor at all upon arrival last week.
