RACE 1 - (7) SMOKIN BY N was caught in a bad shuffle last week (in his YR debut) and we'll just give
him a pass for that - obviously not in a great spot tonight, but he does have some speed and Stratton may be
able to hustle him away to a good start - may be able to beat these if some trip luck comes his way. (4)
PARTY WHIP drew Post 8 for his local debut and was never in the hunt - this is a much more manageable
spot and on his best effort, he could easily be a player with these - worth using on your tickets for a barn
that's been en fuego lately! (2) APEX SEELSTER throws a good one at times, and does debut for a new
barn tonight - assuming he's a decent price, he's another worth consideration. (6) LL MYSTRO was decent
here in 2021 (10-1-2-2) but just hasn't been clicking lately - hails from a barn that always deserves respect,
so maybe include in some exotics? (3) HEART ON MY SLEEVE may perk up with this crew but he really
hasn't thrived since being claimed back in December - just not a great wagering proposition at that 5/2 ML
price. (1) DING DING DINGER improved 2 back when he held 2nd off a pocket trip, but backed through
the field after trying to cut the mile last week - just has way more bad recent tries than good ones. (5)
DENVER SEELSTER doesn't seem sharp right now, and is pretty camera shy even on his best day. (8)
IWONTDOTHATAGAIN grabbed a 2nd off a pocket trip last week, but Post 8 will make things tougher.
RACE 2 - (1) THFLYINGROCK did well at 2 and 3 facing Florida breds - appears to have been purchased
this winter then qualified nicely at The Swamp...tired a bit after being used hard in his first start of the year,
but came right back to win his last off a kinder pocket trip - we'll give him the nod from this spot in his YR
debut. (2) GAMBLING ADDICTION is winless in 7 local tries but he hit board in 5 of them, and raced
well several times - definitely a chance tonight with the right trip. (3) UCANTTOUCHTHIS went several
miles here last Fall that would make him a big threat here - his 2022 qualifier and start aren't as impressive,
though, so it's hard to know what to expect in his Hilltop return - mixed feelings. (5) FIRST GLANCE had
equipment issues last week and gets a pass - he had a win and a 3rd in his other 2 local starts (vs. cheaper),
and may be worth a look tonight if the price is right. (4) RHODENA ROAD was 5-4-1-0 here in 2021, but
hasn't been quite the same this year since bumping up to the NW6 level - suppose he could get a wake up
call tonight. (7) SARANAC BLUE CHIP may be a notch below a couple of the top players but he does
have speed, and a quick start MAY help pick up a piece....at a nice price. (6) NATIVES FILOU throws a
good one here and there, but this is a tough spot even if the "good" version shows up tonight. (8) LINNYC
ALLEDFRANKIE was hammered down to 3/2 for his 2nd start back after moving from the 8 hole to the
rail - he blew up after blasting into the first turn and we'll pass tonight with the move back outside.
RACE 3 - Good race: (6) WESTERN JOE should be feeling pretty good about himself off a pair of Pocono
blowouts - he's a top Open pacer when "right", and those last two lines certainly suggest that he's returning
to Yonkers ready for action. (1) REVELRY just went a monster mile in last week's victory...his first start in
a barn that has just been doing almost unfathomable work since the beginning of December - steps up here,
but still has a chance to be a big player with an effort like that last one. (3) PATRIOT NATION got sharp a
few months back and has remained that way week after week - draws inside, and a good trip puts him right
in the hunt for a big piece. (2) ALWAYS AND AGAIN got used very hard for the lead last week and can be
excused for weakening to 3rd - an easier trip tonight could see him land somewhere on the ticket. (7)
WALKINAFTER MIDNITE makes his local debut sporting some fine NJ form, and he looks like he'll fit
nicely at this level - unfortunately, he catches a strong field AND lands outside....at least the price will be
solid for those looking to use him. (5) GENIUS MAN remains a complete in-and-outer - if in the right
mood, he may be able to kick home well enough for a minor piece. (8) LYONS STEEL is no stranger to
Yonkers and on his best, can win at higher levels than this - ships in off 3 straight at Fhd but this is a much
tougher field AND he lands Post 8 - may take a conservative approach from this spot. (4) ESCAPETOTHE
BEACH is good right now, and is only picked on the bottom because the field is so solid.
RACE 4 - (1) HIGH ST CORRIDOR always hinted at ability and he's finally starting to deliver sharp
miles, week after week - tonight's draw gives him a big edge in his quest to make it 3 in a row. (8) MAKIN
SOME NOISE has only one lifetime loss (in 7 starts) and that came at the hands of the top choice - he was
off a month to that start, however, and could easily reverse that decision tonight...if Buter can find him a
decent trip from all the way out here! (2) HES GONNA GETYA really disappointed in his first local try but
perhaps the missed time had something to do with it - not ready to write him off just yet. (7) SAMSON
BLUE CHIP is hard to gauge off his only (NJ) start of 2022, but he was 1st or 2nd in 5 of 8 starts here last
year, and that 12-1 ML price makes him worth considering at least for a piece. (6) BEEBEETEE keeps
drawing poor posts for his current connections and tonight is no exception - he's better than his most recent
lines suggest, so maybe he can find a way to grab 3rd/4th at a price? (4) JET ACE got stuck in the back last
week so perhaps he deserves a pass - he seems a notch below the main player here, but it also wouldn't be
any great shock to see him race well enough for a minor piece. (3) MAJOR SHOW was a winner over
cheaper in PA last week, but steps up in his YR return after struggling here in the past vs. cheaper. (5)
SAUVIGNON BLUECHIP disappoints more often than he delivers - would need a big price to consider.
RACE 5 - Very tough race: (8) SON OF A TIGER N was well backed last week, handled aggressively, and
might have won had he not had so much trouble wearing down the stubborn leader - gets the worst of the
draw so trip luck will be needed....but it also means a better price, and that makes him worth another try. (4)
HESPOISEDTOPOUNCE A beat a cheap field at Fhd. 3 back but the recent import still seems to be trying
to find his best form here in the U.S. - this field is soft enough that it may be right up his alley. (5)
PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN has some ugly looking lines but that might change if he could find his way to
the front end (at least against a field like this) - one to consider if the price is right. (1) MACH IT SO will
attract plenty of attention with the rail, the switch to Stratton from his owner, and the $2.9M he has in the
back - he's definitely lost a step or three, and may be somewhat vulnerable tonight at a pretty short price.
(3) SWEET TRUTH was just 1 for 23 here last year but he does throw a good one from time to time - ok
for exotics. (7) KASEY JOHN A showed a little better life last week after being invisible for several starts -
not sure it's time to jump back on his wagon just yet, though (especially from out here). (2) CHEYENNE
REIJANE gets major post relief but just seems significantly overmatched. (6) POCKET WATCH N would
be a surprise, for sure.
RACE 6 - (3) MCCLINCHIE N beat a NW10000 field back in Dec. and was 3rd in NW15000 two starts
back - drops to NW75000 and is one of several possible winners in here....but he should be the best price of
the contenders. (2) FLYING FINN N came alive upon dropping to this level last week, coming up a game
2nd best after a first over try - logical threat tonight. (4) TOM ME GUN N gets the potent combination of
post and class relief, and he's another that should be a fair price - absolutely worth considering. (8) AINTN
OBETTOR A seemed disinterested much of the way last week but was actually full of life at the end (after
the fact) - he probably won't be able to get into the mix from out here but he'll be a pretty juicy price if you
think he might be able to do so. (1) SEEUINNASHVILLE A has been decent lately and has speed from the
pole - he's also winless since 2020, so definitely one for underneath only. (7) MOHAWK WARRIOR is
always eligible to perk up at this level but another terrible draw makes it seem unlikely that we'll see that
wake up call tonight. (6) HES ELECTRIC was right there 3rd last week but with an easy 2 hole trip - move
outside may leave him with too much work to do. (5) QUALITY BUD roared home once free in the stretch
to win last week, but he'll be facing considerably tougher tonight.
RACE 7 - (4) CONFIDENCE MAN is just one of many performers from this barn hitting on all cylinders
right now - his last 2 starts here were excellent, and this may even be a bit of a class drop tonight - faces a
few solid foes, but he deserves the nod. (5) REMEMBER THE BEACH was too far back in both local tries
but finished with plenty of pace both starts - could be a little closer tonight, and he'll definitely offer some
decent value. (3) IMOUTTHEDOOR sports a 7-3-3-1 local slate, and that's after dominating his rivals in
Iowa prior to that - his last effort was actually one of his best, and he's a contender every time he's in to go.
(1) BORN A REBEL wasn't up for the aggressive handling in his local debut but an easier trip led to a 2nd
place finish last week - draws best, and could easily land somewhere on the ticket, (2) NORTHERN NETW
ORK has been away for a couple of months and the time off may do him some good - good week to
observe, for future consideration. The outside 3 (6) SNAP CALL, (7) FROMASHESTOASHES N, and (8)
BALI BEACH all seem up against tonight - wait for better spots for all three of them!
RACE 8 - (2) MILLWOOD BONNIE N is good right now, grabbing a nice win 2 back then rallying for
2nd behind runaway FEELIN RED HOT last week - goes for a new barn tonight, but expect her to continue
racing very well. (4) MY LAST BET took NO $$$ for her local debut, and raced accordingly - drops into a
much easier spot now, and we'll look for a much more serious effort - dangerous rival (6) MORNING HAS
BROKEN charged home from well back in her last 2 local starts and may be motoring late tonight as well -
the hotter the action is up front, the more her chances for another good piece go up. (1) EYE POPPING got
sharp for a few starts but came up weak in her last, and now drops in for a tag - could go either way. (7)
SLY ELEANOR N has the ABILITY to beat these, but she also tends to be her own worst enemy (broke in
2 of her 4 local starts) - tough spot tonight, so even one of her better efforts may only yield a smaller piece.
(8) POPPY DRAYTON N is good right now, but gets no luck at all with the draw - will need plenty of trip
luck for even a smaller piece. (3) BALFAST N hails from a hot barn but just hasn't been clicking at all -
sticking with others. (5) TEAM KIWI N is still trying to get her act together in 2022.
RACE 9 - (4) EPIC ACE got VERY sharp for a while, but it left him buried in the top classes as a result -
has been stuck with some terrible posts since starting to drop back down, but perhaps tonight's drop AND
better post will help coax a wake up call from him. (6) EHRMANTROUT was an even 3rd off the layoff in
a start he definitely needed - on his best, he can absolutely be a serious threat against these. (3) SOMEBEA
CH BARON has a pair of recent 2nds in this class - figures to be a square price, and definitely usable in
exotics. (8) GIVENUPDREAMING is the "x factor" in here - he came in to his last with dull form and was
1 for 30 here last year....but tracked a hot pace closely all the way, and walked away with a sharp 1:52.2
victory - no idea where that mile came form, or if he can come close to repeating it! (1) WATERWAY will
probably be well backed tonight but he's 6-0-0-0 this year, and just 1 for 16 at YR (last 2 years) - better
value with others. (2) SANTAFES COACH beat lesser last week as the favorite, but will need to be sharper
to be a serious threat with these. (5) AWESOMENESS showed a little life finishing last week, but still has
work to do before being a legitimate contender. (7) BARON MICHAEL drops, but draws poorly and has
been struggling for a while.
RACE 10 - (5) TURBO HILL was caught too far back to threaten in his last NJ start but his prior two were
decent 4ths against better than these - seems to have caught a winning spot upon arrival at YR. (1) DON
DOMINGO N will surely perk up and crush a field like this some time soon....but for right now he's really
struggling, and seems pretty vulnerable at what figures to be a pretty short price (2) CLAYTONS BETTOR
N had some life finishing last week - we'll see if he can build off that improved effort, and pick up a piece
tonight. (4) FIZZING N is another that will probably beat a field like this pretty soon....but his current form
is lacking, and he's definitely in need of a wake up call. (7) BECKHAMS Z TAM was no factor from Post 8
in his local debut but really wasn't all that far back at the wire - he'll be a good price tonight, and perhaps
can add some value to the exotics? (6) REAL LUCKY N just hasn't looked good in weeks - he drops to the
bottom level now, but really needs to up his game to even contend for a piece. (8) BETTER UP was no
factor from Post 8 last week, and may be looking at deja vu tonight. (3) MAURICE was dismal from the
pole last week, and hard to recommend right now.
RACE 11 - (3) BILL HALEY N has been facing better and certainly holding his own - this bunch should
be right in his wheelhouse, and we'll give him the edge in the finale. (1) MACH DORO A hadn't been at his
best for a few starts but he really brought a big effort in last week's win...even if vs. easier - can be a player
tonight, as well. (5) ROCKATHON has been holding his own up at this level, and is a logical one to include
in exotics. (6) DANCIN DRAGON was really struggling when he shipped out of here this Dec., but he did
find his form quickly in Ohio - on his best, he can be a big threat with these....but hard to know (with any
certainty) what to expect from him tonight. (7) UNCLE JORD A has been holding his form nicely even as
he's climbed the class ladder - faces a long haul from Post 7, but willing to use for 3rd/4th in his fine
current form. (2) SPOILERONTHEBEACH was very sharp when he upset this class (at 40-1!) 4 starts
back, but his form has fallen off since then - prefer to see some better signs before endorsing again. (4)
NOME HANOVER was able to pick up a 4th by saving ground last week, and will hope to grab another
small piece with similar tactics tonight. (8) MACHEASY can compete at this level...but maybe not from all
the way out here.
