RACE 1 - (5) FOX VALLEY CACHET made only one start at 2, where she was sent off at even money
and finished 2nd - returned at 3 to take her first start at PcD then held her own throughout the Weiss Series,
just missing (from way back) in the consolation - seems the most accomplished of these, and deserves top
billing. (6) MIKI ROSE also did well in the Weiss, picking up some good pieces along the way - has speed
and gets Bartlett, but she's also just 1 for 19 lifetime. (3) MISS DOTTIE MAE is a homebred that has done
good work so far in her short career - will probably be a decent price here, and may be able to pick up a
nice chunk in her local debut. (1) TONYS MOM wasn't ready for prime time at 2 and quickly put on the
shelf - shows a couple of decent qualifiers for her 3YO season, and perhaps the tote board will offer some
clues as to her readiness for tonight. (4) FLY LIKE AN ANGEL raced ok in a handful of 2YO starts - hard
to get a good read on her NJ preps, but perhaps she's another that the tote board can provide some
assistance for. (7) BEACHBLANKETLINDY was an ok 3rd last week off the layoff and may be tighter for
tonight - tough spot to overcome, however. (2) AVONLEA SEELSTER lands in a very sharp barn upon
arrival from Canada, but would be hard to recommend off her race lines.
RACE 2 - Short field, but tough race! (4) IDEAL LINER N was a little disappointing in his U.S. debut
when beaten a nose at Fhd. - was scratched sick from his next, then threw a weak try in his first YR start
(against better) - drops tonight, goes without Lasix, and we'll look for him to bring a much better effort this
time. (1) LORD OF MISRULE has raced much at Yonkers recently, but used to race well here - his current
PcD is uninspiring, but he moves to a barn that excels with fresh stock, and also drops AND draws the pole
- could easily make a case for him. (2) YANKEE OSBORNE shows an extremely mixed bag of tries but on
his best, would have a decent chance to beat these - one to consider if the price is decent. (5) REIGNING
DEO fits well with these but he's always been camera shy locally, and just a tough one to use on top at a
short price. (3) MISSION BAY seems a little cheap but he does have a few good recent efforts, and his barn
has popped a bunch of good priced winners recently - not impossible
RACE 3 - (4) LIFEONTHEBEACH A was well backed off the barn change and class drop last week and
did put in an "improved" effort, though still weakening to 4th - the Super Siblings have had another week to
work on him, and he drops another notch as well- maybe he can get it done vs. these? (2) ROBBIE BURNS
N really hasn't been "sharp", but he's at least been competitive with better - he finished just ahead of the top
choice last week, and is probably his main rival for tonight, as well. (1) SHINY BLACK BEAMER has
struggled in a lot of recent starts but this is a spot where a better effort can be expected - figures to be close
from start to finish. (5) KIMANI N picked up a rare win on 2/25 and that was the last time he was down at
this level - prefer a few others ahead of him, but might still include him if "spreading" a bit. (6) ZACH MA
GUIRE N has no wins and one 2nd from his last 32 local starts, and also draws poorly for tonight - minor
share only. (7) POCKET WATCH N had a couple of better efforts 2 and 3 back but reverted to his lesser
form in last - outside draw obviously won't help his chances tonight. (8) VINOVIO seems cheap and also
draws Post 8 - picks up Bartlett, but not sure that'll matter. (3) BULLVILLE KYLE has been an "autotoss"
for a long time.
RACE 4 - Tough race: (2) AMERICAN WAY doesn't have the most appealing Canadian form but that's a
pretty good looking qualifier, considering he finished closely behind a fresh import that won his first U.S.
start last week, and THE REAL ONE - would definitely use him here, but liked him better before the barn
sent out a couple early on Mon. night that just didn't function! (6) STILL THIRSTY was a nice 7-1 winner
for us last week and he stays in the same class tonight - absolutely a shot he could do it again. (1) TEAM
MAC shipped in off a Monti win and wasn't a bad 4th here last week - moves inside, gets Jordan in the bike
this time, and could be a live player. (4) FOXHUNT raced ok in several of his 13 starts as a 2YO - likely
bled in his return qualifier (as he's going with Lasix tonight) and he'll be a good price - worth a look? (8)
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE raced ok in a couple of starts at 2 then was turned out - won his 2nd start at PcD
as a 3YO, and likely fits well here for a strong barn...tough post, though. (3) DEFENSIVE PLAYER was an
"ok" 3rd last week off a win at Chester - will need to be a bit better if he hopes to contend for a top prize.
(7) MY BLUEBERRY BUCK was scratched sick from his Hilltop debut and now enters tonight off 26 days
- not sure he'll be all that cranked up from Post 7 for his new connections. (5) GUSSYS TRUMP CARD
drops out of the Weiss Series for a good barn but he hasn't done much in his 5 starts this year
RACE 5 - (3) AINTHESAMEWITHOUTU did good work throughout her 2YO campaign, compiling an
8-3-1-2 record while winning a couple of minor stake races - sharp final quarter in her return qualifier but
most of all, gets Stratton to take her over his brother's horse (#4) - we'll go with her too. (4) SUNSHINE
SALLY raced well throughout the Weiss Series, picking up 3rd in the Final - might have gone with her on
top had Jordan taken the call, but we'll list her for 2nd with Cory at the lines tonight. (1) JACANA also
raced well in the Weiss, and Kakaley knows her well - barn has had a brutal couple of years here at YR, but
this filly looks like she can be a legitimate player. (2) AMERICAN JAZZ shipped in last week (also after
competing in the Weiss Series) and wired an easier NW2 field - feels like she might be a notch below the
top choices. (6) PULL ME THROUGH was a well backed winner in an easier spot 2 back then had no
prayer in her last - her barn remains hot, so maybe she can find a way to grab a piece of this? (8) MARILY
NS JO has been racing well since returning from the long layoff, but faces an uphill battle from Post 8
tonight - may have to wait for a better spot. (5) TAVA was doing good work for a while but feels like she's
headed in the wrong direction right now - needs a quick bounce back effort. (7) WIGGLE MY COOKIE
appears to be declining rapidly since the recent barn change
RACE 6 - This class is usually a tough race to pinpoint! (2) MORNING HAS BROKEN just never thrived
in the two starts for her previous barn but rebounded nicely off another claim last week, caught wide into
the hottest part of the mile, yet still rallying to the wire - we'll try her in the top slot for tonight. (3) WOOD
MERE SKYROLLER was a HUGE overlay at 25-1 last week and almost pulled it out - remains a threat
every week, although the price will surely come down quite a bit now. (1) APRIL AVA had been doing
some better work lately before getting caught in the back last week - look for a more aggressive try
tonight...with a chance at a piece. (6) CHUPPAH ON only has one recent win, but she races well every
start, regardless of trip - don't count her out, even from Post 6. (5) FEELIN RED HOT is a threat to wire
'em any week she's entered - she also tends to be overbet and often gets tired in the crucial stages - possible,
but better value with others. (7) DEMETER N drops in for the $50K tag and certainly fits with these - she
also lands far outside, and that may leave her with a little too much work to do. (8) SLY ELEANOR was a
winner in her last 2 starts but has missed 3 weeks and draws Post 8 - may be vulnerable this start. (4) TALL
POPPY N is being listed on the bottom, but a small piece is still not out of the question
RACE 7 - (4) HES A SNOB only raced 6X as a 3YO but did some good work, almost winning the Weiss
Series Final, followed by a 3rd to Whichwaytothebeach right here at Yonkers - he's been away for a year,
but his qualifier looks solid and he meets nothing too scary in here - worth a shot. (8) ROLL WITH THE
FLOW draws horribly for his local debut but he does have the best current form of these - he has the
talented young pilot Braxton Boyd on board, and that one has shown that he can win races here - use as
long as the price is fair. (1) HAZEVILLE qualified well a couple of times and was a steady 3rd at PcD in
his 3YO debut - looks like he should be able to hang with these. (6) THEBIZNES BLUECHIP was wildly
overbet in his last pair but he did prevail in one of those starts - have to include in exotics, but looking to
use others for the top spot. (2) MATTERS MOST shipped down from Canada to the Super Siblings and
grabbed a 4th at Chester- should fit well enough with these to be in play for a good piece. (3) PARTY
CENTRAL always races "ok", but needs to find a bit more if he hopes to find the winner's circle. (5) MY
BOY JACK ships in with less than stellar looking current lines - will pass (and watch) for now. (7) BIDEN
NATION was 54-1 and never close from a similar spot last week
RACE 8 - Short field but a good race: (6) BABS JANSEN was a winner here on 3/31 - missed three weeks
to her next but still rallied hard to be right there 4th, then got back to the winner's circle again last week -
gets stuck all the way outside, but at least there are only 6 contestants in here - maybe she's sharp enough to
take another? (2) PLZDONTLIETOME N is 6-2-2-2 since arriving in the U.S. and continues to sharpen -
finished right behind the top one last time, but could easily turn the tables tonight. (5) FIGHTING EVIL is
0 for 12 on the year but was right there with good older mares several times already - the right trip could
make her a legitimate player tonight. (1) OAKWOOD CORAL IR also sports a strong local slate (9-4-3-1)
and comes into tonight off a solid front end score - she does move up in class, though, and we'll see if that
has her looking at a smaller share tonight. (3) NUTTINBUTTHEBEST may have picked up some
confidence in PA with that win 2 back as she finished with crisp pace (for 3rd) returning to YR last week -
can see her grabbing a piece for a very high % barn. NARINA HANOVER ships in from PA and may be on
the cheaper side
RACE 9 - (3) HIGH BALLER ended up being used much harder early on that he would have liked and
paid for it later on - still think he has the ability to beat these and willing to give him another chance...if the
price is fair. (8) MAKING SOME NOISE kicked home in :26.4 two back to just miss by a nose (to the
heavy favorite) then was a dead game 2nd last week, despite some brutally tough early use - would have
been the easy choice had he drawn better, but still has a shot to get it done even from out here...with some
trip luck. (1) BONDI SHAKE N is another that was just used too hard early on last start - he's done fine
work since arriving here from Down Under this winter, and is a major threat from the pole tonight. (2)
GOOD OLE ETHIN was only beaten by a couple of lengths in his YR debut, despite missing almost a
month - eligible to be sharper tonight for his new high powered barn. (6) JIM BLUE was 2nd to a
promising 3YO two back (his first start of the year) then came up 2nd best to a very determined frontrunner
in his last - draws a tough post tonight, but don't write him off too quickly. (7) HIGH ST CORRIDOR is
15-4-5-3 here at YR but still figures to be a big price tonight - good one to include in exotics, looking for
some value. (4) CAPTAIN SLEAZE had some success at 2 and 3, but it's hard to gauge his readiness from
those qualifiers - check the board for clues? UNCONTROLLABLE was a nice priced winner two back, but
never fired in his last - he's listed here at the bottom ,but that doesn't mean he can't grab a piece of this.
