Some $33,996 worth of fresh investments dove into the pool, thus a total pot (after takeout) of just under $31,000.
The Pick 5 winning combination of 2/5/2/1/4 saw one lucky lad/lass take it down to the tune of $30,917.25.
The Pick 5 is a 50-cent base wager comprising either races 6 through 10 (if 10 races) or 7 through 11 (if more than 10 races) each racing program. It has no consolation payoff, meaning if no one selects all five winners, the entire pool (minus takeout) moves to the next card.
