RACE 1 - (4) POUND FOR POUND arrived in PA from Ohio in late Sept. and really blossomed, even if
vs. a bit cheaper than these - he ships in off a 2nd at Chester to OCEAN RIDGE N, and that horse about 7-8
wins in just the last 2 months...he draws inside his main competition here, and we'll try him on top. (6) STR
IKING IMPACT was hurt by bad draws for a few starts but got back to the winner's circle 2 back when he
drew inside - did super to rally for 2nd from Post 7 last week and while he draws poorly yet again, he may
benefit from a contested pace tonight - could be a big late threat if that happens. (7) TUGGIN ON MY HE
ART has been thriving since joining the Super Siblings, and has a win and a 2nd in his 2 tries in this class -
the barn hasn't been winning at quite the same (astronomical) rate since Joey B started taking off after 11/2,
but most of their horses are still racing well- would use if the price is fair (5) SHAKESPEARE was claimed
by a red hot barn 2 back and was a winner both starts - moves to new connections tonight, and we'll see if
he can stay just as sharp. (1) SETH HANOVER probably needs to be in easier to be a threat to win, but he
can still take home a good chunk with the rail draw. (2) FULSOME has shown that he can be a solid player
with these when he can establish an up close trip...but it's hard to say if he can get around #1 at the start -
may not get the trip he's hoping for tonight. (3) TWIG looked horrible on 10/30 then was scratched last
week - sticking with others right now. (8) TUFFENUFTOWEARPINK is pretty good right now, but
probably not good enough to have a big say from out here.
RACE 2 - (3) HEMSWORTH N held ok for 4th after a tough first over trip in the Open 3 back - finished
with plenty of pace from an impossible spot in his next then just toured the oval from Post 8 last week...the
upside being that his (close) 6th place finish allowed him to drop in class tonight - sure feels like it'll be "go
time" from this much better spot. (5) SHINE A LIGHT has been holding form beautifully even at these
higher levels - drops a notch, and a live trip could see him land somewhere on the ticket...at a decent price.
(4) NANDOLO N isn't having his best season by any means, but he's still shown up enough times to win 7
races, and bank $170K- he's off 3 weeks and has dad filling in for son as trainer...but still can't be dismissed
too easily (2) GROOVY JOE feels like he's a bit off form but a wake up call is possible at any time- willing
to include underneath. (6) ELS ROCKER was no match for the razor sharp winner in his YR debut but still
safely held 2nd - faces a much tougher field from a much tougher post, and we'll see if Gingras can find
him a manageable trip. (7) THE REAL ONE is solid right now but will be trying to rally from last. (1) NU
TTIN BUT FINESSE has just one start in 5+ weeks and it wasn't a good one - sticking with others here.
RACE 3 - (1) CROSS CREEK just sat last after drawing Post 8 last week (new barn, bad date) but
definitely had good energy finishing - moves all the way inside, and this may not be a bad time to give him
a shot. (4) PEPPERMINT MAN has the ABILITY to handle these, but his 3 Yonkers efforts have produced
2 miscues, and a distanced try - his qualifier suggests that he's fine, and maybe this is the week he puts it all
together and crushes these...just hard to take a very short price. (2) ONE CRAZY GUY did beat these 4
back then just missed on 10/16 - not a huge fan, but still have to respect his chances from this spot. (5) SH
UFFLE UP HANOVER has 2 wins, and a near miss 2nd from his last 4 tries, and drew Post 8 in the other -
he's also exiting our leading barn, and it's hard to know for sure how his form will hold up this week- tough
call. (3) WE SHALL SEA shipped in sharp from Monti but was just "ok" finishing 3rd the last 2 weeks -
willing to include underneath. (6) FOX VALLEY PATRIOT put in moves in both local tries before tiring
badly - maybe for longshot fans? (7) BOOM TOWN BOY drops in for a tag but figures to be hampered by
the draw. (8) LOUIE HANOVER would need a major wake up call to be a player from out here.
RACE 4 - Good race! (5) HELLABALOU has certainly been doing good work in the midwest and he
returns tonight to the scene of his biggest triumph this year - draws inside what appears to be his main foes,
and that may give him a slight edge tonight. (7) ROCKNROLL RUNA A came up 2nd best to #8 last week
(no shame there!) and might have put up an even tougher fight if not for being very hard used early to make
the top - obviously not an ideal spot but he's won from well back in the past, and he's never a bad one to use
at a nice price. (8) COVERED BRIDGE picked up win #17 on the year last week and it's incredible how
sharp he's been able to remain throughout this dream season - no clue as to whether Stratton can/will put
him in play from out here, but he's a hard one to leave off your tickets from ANY spot. (6) AMERICAN
MERCURY looked like he may finally be leveling off a bit but he reversed form with that 35-1 upset 3
back, then finished 2nd and 3rd in his last pair- a good price makes him worth a look. (4) MOONSHINE
KISSES is another that has enjoyed an amazing season but even though he shows wins in his last pair (vs.
easier), he really doesn't seem to be quite as sharp as earlier this year - leaning more towards others. (2)
ANOTHRMASTRPIECE N can win at this level at times but probably not in a field this tough- the inside
draw can't hurt, though. (3) AMERICAN DEALER N has been giving a solid effort every week but is
another that may need a little easier to threaten for the top slot. (1) BURNHAM BOY N has been excellent
since the recent barn change and gets the pole for tonight - still has to prove he can hang with THESE,
however.
RACE 5 - (7) DESPERATE MAN went a simply bruising mile in his local debut that suggested that he
may be heading back towards the outstanding form he showed as a youngster - was very good in his next
start as well, but was only able to manage 3rd despite pacing a wicked :54 final half first over - added Lasix
for his last and was once again back in "bruising mode", looking like a complete beast while easily beating
a little cheaper - if he's as sharp tonight, the class jump and bad draw may not matter. (1) JAHAN HANOV
ER is hitting on all cylinders right now, maintaining his top form even as he climbs the class ladder - the
move inside makes him a big threat for a nice chunk. (6) PEACE OUT POSSE has been sharp for weeks,
and his last start was no exception - has to be considered for exotics even with the less than stellar draw. (4)
CHANTEE is having a terrific year and even beat this class last week - if he gets a trip he likes, he may be
able to rally late for a share. (8) THIS IS THE PLAN is clearly not the Open performer we've seen for so
long (at least not right now) - will face a tough task trying to overcome Post 8 in his current form. (3) BLA
NK STARE used an easy trip to be a close 2nd in this class 3 back but was no threat in his last couple -
would consider for a minor piece if the price is juicy enough. (2) DEETZY is struggling a bit at a level a bit
higher than he's comfortable with - will hope to grab minor spoils. (5) FAMILY RECIPE is having a good
year, but his best miles definitely come with a bit easier.
RACE 6 - (5) NOME HANOVER shipped in razor sharp from Pocono and brought that form with him,
scoring an impressive victory last week - a similar effort tonight would give him a good chance to pick up
his 6th win from the last 7 starts. (4) HUDSON PHIL has sharpened recently and held that form pretty well
for a new barn last week - his gate speed is a big asset, and could put him right in the hunt again tonight. (3)
REAL PEACE has 2 wins (and a 2nd) from his last 4 starts at this level, draws inside a couple of his main
foes and has to be respected for our leading trainer/driver team. (7) ARRHYTHMIC SURGE has been very
sharp for some time, and is always charging late - may find himself rallying from just a little too far back
tonight, but still worth consideration if the price creeps up high enough. (1) TIN ROOF RAIDER A prefers
to be in a bit easier but an easy trip from this spot could see him contending for a small slice. (8) GOTHIC
ROCK is actually pretty good right now but faces a daunting task trying to rally from last. (6) SULLIVAN
would look a lot better down one level, and with a better post - leaning towards others. (2) MR KELLY just
seems significantly overmatched arriving from PA.
RACE 7 - (6) COACHES CORNER is a perfect 4 for 4 since arriving from Indiana but faces his toughest
test to date - he's been extremely impressive, but is also looking at a much tougher trip tonight, against
several classy rivals - we're giving him top billing, but would hesitate before accepting a short price. (2)
ROCK DIAMONDS N has been right there almost every week recently and gets some class relief for
tonight - he faces an uncertain trip, but can be very dangerous with a good journey. (4) SPEED MAN N is
hard to gauge because he's had 3 consecutive n-chance spots - he'll surely be more involved tonight, and the
classy 9YO just may be sitting on a big mile. (7) LUCKBEWITHALEX was driven in a way that gave him
no chance last week but on the flip side, his 4th place finish kept him eligible to this class - Buter takes him
over a couple of others (despite the bad draw), and he does have the ability to beat these with the right trip -
not impossible. (1) BOILING OAR was a sharp pocket winner last week but he steps up in class and may
have to settle for a smaller share, even with the rail draw. (3) HICKFROMFRENCHLICK just hasn't been
on his best game lately- needs to be a bit better if he hopes to be a serious threat tonight. (8) BUDDY HILL
had things his own way on the lead last week but couldn't hold off the tripsitting BOILING OAR - figures
to have trouble dealing with tonight's draw. (5) ALADDIN shows solid Canadian form but may be a bit
below the locals in his Hilltop debut.
RACE 8 - (6) OZONE BLUE CHIP clearly isn't having the amazing season he had in 2022, but he's still
won 5X and banked 6 figures - not a great draw here, but the class drop may be enough to get him back to
the winner's circle. (2) JIMMY CONNOR B figured to come alive last week and simply got collared late by
a sharp foe - he's looking at another good trip tonight, and may be able to get it done at a fair price. (4) LA
YTON HANOVER will surely be heavily backed off the class drop but he just hasn't been finishing well in
enough in his most recent starts - he's another that may find tonight's class drop beneficial. (1) MAURIES
BONUS A has finished well in all 5 local starts but always from too far back - we'll see if the rail draw can
keep him close enough to be a bigger threat in the lane, (3) WALKINSHAW N sat the pocket last week to a
rival he'd normally crush but barely made a dent in the lane - needs to find his better game to be a serious
player against these better ones. (5) CYRUS HANOVER took 3 weeks off after a trio of dull tries - we'll
see if the freshening cam help him finish up better tonight. (8) FROZEN HANOVER was right there in his
last pair thanks to some post relief - tonight's draw is definitely going to hurt. (7) SOUTHBEACH HANOV
ER was totally overdriven last week and not up for it at all - wait for a class drop, and better draw.
RACE 9 - (3) HEART OF DIXIE had to work hard just to stay close in the hot middle half last week but
did finish alertly for 3rd once things started to slow down in the lane - he avoids the top two finishers here,
gets another good draw, and should be able to have a big say. (4) PEDRO HANOVER has been a solid
weekly player for a barn that's been going strong for the last couple of months- logical player again tonight.
(8) ALOTBETTOR N has been a very solid $40K claimer and drops back down after a 2nd in 50s to the
razor sharp ROCKIN JUKEBOX - can't dismiss him tonight, even from Post 8. (1) BALLERAT BOOMER
ANG is a tough call - he's had a strong season and moves all the way inside BUT he's failed to beat a horse
in his last 2 starts - would consider using him as long as he's a fair price. (7) JUDDY DOUGLAS A's form
has been very mixed in the 4 starts since the recent claim - he just missed the one time Gingras drove, and
he's listed at 15-1 ML...worth a stab? (5) WAR DAN DELIGHT N picked up a rare win over easier 3 back
but is likely to be looking at only some minor spoils against these. (2) ON THE VIRG was scr. sick from
his last after finishing 8th from the pole on 10/16 - hard to recommend right now. (6) DIAMONDBEACH
has been struggling, and this doesn't feel like a spot where he might turn things around.
RACE 10 - Tough finale: (4) STONEBRIDGE REX had missed 8 months prior to his last start, drew Post
7 but still was pacing well at the end - he did win here last March upon arrival from Canada, and lands in a
very iffy field tonight - could be worth a stab. (1) GENTLE GIANT faces a bit easier tonight as he drops
down to an age restricted $50K claimer and may be able to be a bigger player - worth at least a look as long
as the price is decent. (3) KOOTENAY SANTANNA was an "ok" 3rd last week, but gets 2nd if sharper -
any of his better efforts would make him a very live player tonight. (5) TOPVILLE SOMROCKET was
very good for a while but his recent efforts have tailed off considerably - this is an easier spot and he does
get a new pilot....but that 2-1 ML price is definitely a turnoff. (2) TWO FACED raced well in his last
couple of starts but was scratched sick from his last and has missed 3 weeks - hard to know how sharp he'll
be for tonight. (6) RB just hasn't been on his best game since returning from a layoff this summer - the poor
draw won't help his cause. (7) BLOODHOUND ships in sharp from NJ but is moving up considerably and
draws terribly. (8) BLUE OCEAN beat cheaper in his last at PcD but lands all the way outside and he's
6-0-0-0 here at Yonkers.
