RACE 1 - (4) BETTORROCK has burned quite a bit of $$ since returning to YR but he should definitely
benefit from his last start, a conservative steer that saw him finishing with good pace, in traffic - he lands in
a field with some iffy contenders, and maybe this is a spot where he can get the job done. (2) QUALITY
BUD has already been showing some signs of wear and tear before last week's total clunker - does the class
drop perk him right back up, or is he just too far off his game for it to matter? (3) DP REALORDEAL is an
outstanding 14-6-5-3 $90K racing out of town this year...making his 17-0-2-2 Yonkers slate all the more
puzzling - he hasn't been "bad" lately, but he'd need to be a decent price to consider for the top slot. (7) CA
VIART ROCKLAND was WAY overbet last week (off a bad date) and weakened a bit to 3rd in the lane -
makes his 2nd start for our leading barn but he does have several possible speed horses inside of him - at
12-1 ML, he's still worth considering. (1) BETTORBUCKLEUP enjoyed being on the lead in the bottom
class last week and was able to hold off the tripsitter for the victory - chance for a good piece tonight (even
up one level) as long as the trip goes his way. (5) AUSSIE HANOVER was a steady 4th off an easy trip in
his YR return - needs a similarly easy trip for a chance at another piece. (6) I LOVE ONGAIT is a mare
taking on boys here- she may look more appealing dropping into a FM NW5000 next week (8) ROSE RUN
X CON isn't bad right now, but gets stuck behind the 8 ball.
RACE 2 - (3) GREG THE LEG has thrived all season long, finishing 1st or 2nd in 20 of his 30 local starts
- he just missed last week (to #5) after a dead game effort, and we'll see if he can find his way back to the
winner's circle tonight. (5) PLEASELETMEKNOW was very good from a bad spot 2 back so it was no
surprise to see him come up with the hard fought victory last week - he MAY end up with a tougher trip
tonight, so make sure to get a fair price if looking for him to repeat. (1) SPORTY M THREE was super for
weeks, making that last total clunker a complete surprise - he's back in the box quickly for connections that
know what they're doing, so perhaps it was just a minor issue...very tough if he shows up on his "A Game".
(2) SOUTHWIND PETYR was just used way too hard last start and gets a total pass for tiring in the lane -
he's done remarkable work since joining the Super Siblings, but the barn did have a bit of an off night on
Monday - perhaps check to see how things go on Tuesday before making a final decision? (4) ULTIMARO
CA seems a bit off his best game right now and that's not good enough in a field this talented - prefer others
at the moment. (6) HAZEVILLE continues to pick up pieces every week though the winner's circle hasn't
seen him in some time - Post 6 won't make things any easier.
RACE 3 - (3) WINDSUN RICKY was clearly short last week but he was racing off 3 weeks (sick scratch)
and is eligible to be much sharper now - he'll be tough with tonight's class drop if anywhere close to 100%.
(5) PHOENIX OF FLUZZY was a good 2nd last start off the class drop, and now drops another peg - solid
player with any decent trip. (6) PRETTY HANDSOME should appreciate the drop from the tough 50s and
he did beat this class (handily) back on 9/14 - the switch to Bartlett certainly won't hurt, but he'll need to
overcome the tough draw. (1) MY CARBON COPY N flashed speed last week and was a solid 2nd right
behind a sharp ship-in winner - could have a big say from this spot, but note that he's 0 for 15 here this year
(4) ROCK THE DEVIL had a promising return try off the layoff but wasn't as good the following week -
leaning towards others for the top slots (7) REIGNING DEO had license to be short last week (off a month)
but tonight's poor draw may limit him to minor spoils. (2) THINKBIG DREAMBIG took off 3 weeks after
folding badly in his last - prefer to just observe, for now. (8) WON LAST FEELING hasn't been on his best
game and now gets stuck with Post 8.
RACE 4 - (2) MARINER SEELSTER has won 4 of his last 6 and the 14YO is now just $24K shy of $1M
in career earnings - it seems like his career might expire before he can get there (12/31), but that doesn't
mean he can't pick up a few more wins along the way....perhaps tonight? (5) SOUTHWIND ONYX has 2
wins and a 2nd since the recent barn change and that 2nd did come at the hands of #2 - we'll see if he can
reverse that decision tonight. (4) THE BEST TYME EVER was having some issues after joining our top
barn but he's looked much better in his last couple - may be able to threaten the top pair if he can improve
just a bit more. (3) OURRHYTHMNBLUES N hadn't been sharp for some time but Bartlett saw an
opportunity to make the top last week, and basically just helped this guy steal one- not sure he can replicate
that "theft" tonight, especially with Bartlett opting for #4. (7) TOATSMYGOATS is a rock solid player in
this class but has the misfortune of drawing outside all of his main rivals tonight - that may leave him
looking at only a minor share. (1) DRY RIDGE ACE tired upon arrival from Fhd. and he'll need to be a lot
sharper to be any kind of serious player tonight. (6) MINGO JOEL has been struggling for some time -
tough draw won't help. (8) MISTER SPOT A draws Post 8 after landing himself on the qualifying list.
RACE 5 - (1) BLANK CHEEK had no chance in her YR debut (8 hole) then was an ok 4th in her next
behind a few decent ones - she draws the pole tonight, adds Lasix, and may be ready to step up and be a
serious player. (7) MY RED SEA certainly showed potential at 2, banking $125K in 8 starts - things never
took off at 3, however, and though the Dynamic Duo had her for those last 2 KY starts, she probably got a
lot more attention after returning to NJ - we may see a much different filly tonight. (2) EXCITING TIMES
A is the "x factor" - she was sent off at 4/5 (Post 7) for her U.S. debut but was a "meh" 3rd - she was scr.
sick from her next, and it's hard to know what we'll get from her tonight - definitely a guessing game. (5)
LAZARUS GIRL has been facing easier at Fhd. but has been doing good work, and picked up a new
lifetime mark in her last - it's possible that she's ready to battle with these too. (8) GEORGIA THOMPSON
was actually sent off at 1/20 here on 10/4 (and even had a "bridge jump" show bet on her!) but weakened in
the stretch and finished 4th - she's been no better than 3rd since then, but does add Lasix for tonight - she'll
be a big price for anybody willing to take a stab from Post 8. (4) VIRTUAL KISS was a winner in NJ 3
back but likely vs. easier - hard to say how well she'll fit with these. (3) ANNELIESE HANOVER throws a
good one now and then but would have to be a pretty long price to be worth considering. (6) LIL RED RO
CKNHOOD picked up an easy trip 3rd vs. softer last time - faces better now, and from a bad post.
RACE 6 - Wide open! (3) FULL SCALE has a pair of close 2nds from his 3 local tries, gets away well and
stays trotting - he's also just 1 for 25 lifetime, but has pretty much the same chance in here as any of the
others. (7) WAVERLY HANOVER was terrible in his only local try here but has since gone some better
miles at PcD - probably worth at least a look with that 20-1 ML price. (6) NEWTOWNS BLACKGOLD
had every possible thing go his way last week and was able to pick up his first Yonkers victory - unlikely to
be as fortunate tonight, however, and that 9/5 ML price is definitely a turn off. (1) SQUABLE continues to
pick up pieces week after week without ever winning - he's now just 1 for 76, but he's incredibly gone over
the $100K mark in career earnings - never a bad one to include underneath. (2) TO MY CREDIT finally
gets a good post but it's lack of stamina that's been the real issue - we'll see if starting from the inside helps
his cause. (4) LITTLE MISS YANKEE almost won in her first local try but has never been able to build off
that effort - one of many that COULD take this, with the right scenario. (5) BANGIN IN THE HALL is
now 1 for 47 and 0 for 15 at YR - hard to make a case for him. (8) WARRAWEE YIMA has been prone to
breaks behind the gate....but is in a horrendous spot tonight, even if he behaves.
RACE 7 - (2) INN AT RODANTHE wasn't "flashy" in his back to back local wins but he did what he had
to do both times, and they did come from Posts 7 and 8 - faces a better field tonight, but we'll stay on board
one more time. (4) I GOT THE TAB has also enjoyed racing at The Hilltop, sporting a 3 for 3 local slate -
solid threat to extend that streak to 4. (5) HOOFBEATS DE VIE is winless in 5 local starts but he's gone a
couple of big efforts here, and he has won 14 of 37 overall - wouldn't hesitate to use him if the price was
juicy enough. (3) DIAMANTE TRIO IT has hit board in 7 of 9 Yonkers starts but has only one victory -
willing to include underneath, in exotics. (6) ENOLA was moving from very low % Canadian connections
to the leading barn in the nation last week - she was hammered down to 2/5 for her local debut and while
she did get the job done, she was hardly "impressive" - we'll see if she's sharper the 2nd time around. (1)
PHANNYS MATTER was off a month to her last as she debuted at Chester for a new barn - could be
tighter now, but others still seem more appealing. (7) PARTNER DOLAN was definitely bothered on the
final turn last week but it's hard to say how much it mattered - prefer to wait for a better spot to consider.
RACE 8 - (7) JAVA arrived from The Maritimes and quickly took to her new barm winning her first start
here at Yonkers in wire to wire fashion - she came up HUGE in her 2nd start, moving early from the back
when a little too hot to hold, rushing up first over to attack the leader from the half, eventually wore that
one down then battled all she could to the wire, just missing to the perfect trip winner - she'll actually be a
fair price tonight, and may be able to get it done even from out here. (4) HUNTING LINDY must have
been well regarded at 2 as she raced a few starts in the NYSS - didn't return until September of her 3YO
season (for a new barn), then had some mixed efforts in the MaSS - she just missed in an overnight in NJ
last week, and gets a BIG driver change for tonight...solid threat, but a short price looming. (3) TRISH SPE
AKER didn't quite get the hang of things at 2, and then in a couple of 3YO starts early last winter - she did
seem to mature a bit with 8 months off, and her return qualifier looks solid - maybe she can grab a piece
here? (1) URSULA BLUE CHIP also raced in the MaSS recently, though not as well as #4 - may be able to
at least have some say from the pole. (6) J M SPEAK EASY was 4th in her only local start and the jury is
still out on this one - may be hurt by this week's draw. however. (5) CHILLED PROSECCO wasn't "good"
last week, but she wasn't "as bad" - we'll see if she can keep improving. (2) SWEET CHEDDAR is really
struggling right now - waiting for some better signs.
RACE 9 - (4) PRESTIGE SEELSTER finally picked up a local win in his 12th attempt but he was very
sharp in doing so - a live trip tonight may give him a chance to make it 2 in a row. (7) TWIN B SPEED
DIAL was reclaimed last week after a solid 7 hole try - he's hit board in all 4 starts since returning to YR, is
listed at 12-1 ML and is worth at least a look. (1) BETTER UP was well meant last week but was
outbrushed by the top choice to 3/4s and weakened to 4th - he was racing off a bad date that night, and
could be sharper in here - use in exotics. (8) ITALIAN DELIGHT puts his 3 race winning streak on the line
but he was all out (at short prices) to take the last pair, and could be facing a much more difficult trip from
Post 8 tonight - possibly vulnerable? (5) CLAYTONS BETTOR N is hard to gauge off all the amateur races
but he'll go with a catch driver tonight and may be worth a look at that 20-1 ML price. (3) BARRYWHITE
HANOVER "drops" from age-restricted 30s to face open 20s and may find this field even tougher - minor
share? (2) GO DANCING A just hasn't been sharp and is in need of a wake up call. (6) PROVACATIVEPR
INCEN folded off pocket trips from the pole in his last pair and now starts from Post 6.
RACE 10 - (4) TIPSY MONI is a pretty nice filly, banking nearly $200K at 2 and 3 for a low profile barn -
she was just purchased of $76K by a powerful partnership, goes to our leading trainer and figures to be able
to toy with these...assuming she has no trouble getting around the Hilltop Oval. (5) I CANT REFUSE may
be able to add some value to the exotics - she lost all chance in her only local start when bothered by an
erratic horse early on, then delivered back to back sharp tries at PcD - the one knock is that she's been away
for 3 weeks (sick scratch), but a big price makes up for that. (6) FIVE FISH SPECIES finished off the
board last week for the first time in her Yonkers history (12 starts) - look for a better effort tonight. (3) SH
OPPING IN PARIS had to requalify recently after a couple of miscues but behaved just fine in her last pair
- legitimate threat to land somewhere on the ticket. (7) TOMBSTONE wasn't bad when 3rd in his local
debut, won the next week, then made a big recovery after an early miscue in his last - another decent value
horse to use underneath. (2) STRONGERWITHLINDY was doing a little better before a dull one last week
- minor spoils? (8) DECHAMBO draws Post 8 after a break from the pole last week - expect a conservative
try. (1) LIVINGOTHERAIL adds Lasix and lands the pole...but still seems way overmatched.
