RACE 1 - (4) PROLOGUE has gone some big miles here in the past...when he's reasonably sound!
Resurfaces tonight off a YEAR layoff and IF he's still functioning, I can't believe his connections won't be
taking a shot in his very first start back - willing to take a shot with him. (1) GYPSY LEATHER endured a
horrible trip last week and was still able to grab 3rd off the latest claim - he had been struggling for a while
but when "right", he's a solid player in this class - very possible. (3) CINNABAR DRAGON really hadn't
done much this year so it was pretty surprising to see him re-claimed last week - we'll see if his connections
made a savvy move. (7) IN ROCK WE TRUST almost broke coming out past turn three last week but
smoothed out, then just blew by the leaders and jogged in his local debut - can he repeat that effort from
Post 7? (2) HERE COMES SWIFTY was trapped behind a tiring leader last week, then rallied for 2nd (to
#7) once clear inside in the stretch - playable underneath. (5) MACHING TIME was blocked through the
stretch last week so it's hard to say if she was any good - maybe 3rd? (6) ARI ALLSTAR just hasn't worked
out since the claim - needs to be a lot better. (8) DAKOTA JACK is the outsider, literally and figuratively.
RACE 2 - (2) BLUFFINER just toured the oval 2 back but was cut loose last week and looked like an
EASY winner....until staggering at the end and getting nipped on the wire - should be able to cut a more
reasonable clip from this spot...and that makes him the one to knock off. (3) BAZILLIONAIRE's barn has
seen a couple of wake up calls recently, and this guy was actually going pretty well before that - not a lot of
wins on his resume, but he's fine to use underneath. (5) STICK WITH ME KID was a decent 3rd in a hot
mile upon arrival from PA, then was ok vs. better in last - drops back down, and definitely playable in the
exotics. (4) SWAN BEFORE ALL is probably a little cheaper but he's been sharp (prior to last week's break
at Fhd.) and at 15-1 ML, he's ok for 3rd/4th. (6) BLUE AND BOLD has been invisible for ages but landed
on an easy trip in a modest field last week and was able to grab the victory - he'll need to be even better to
be a player with these, especially from Post 6. (7) D P ROCKET ships in from The Meadows for
connections that have been sending live trotters here for ages - tough post for local debut, though. (1)
SEVEN KNIGHTS had everything go his way to pick up his first victory of the year 2 back - not convinced
he can hang with these, though. (8) ON HIGHER GROUND has ability, but tends to be inconsistent - was
ok in his last at Fhd. (tough trip off a month), but hesitant to use him from Post 8 in his Hilltop return.
RACE 3 - (2) IN THE HUDDLE is the reluctant selection here - he hasn't won at YR in some time, and
he's 0 for 14 overall in 2021....he DID race very well shipping in last week, however, and faces a field filled
with question marks tonight...may be a good spot for him to break a couple of losing streaks. (5) BLUEBE
RRY HEAVEN was ok from Post 8 two back and a good 3rd from that same horrible spot in last - he moves
up in class tonight but this is not the toughest field of 15s, and he does get some post relief - worth at least a
look. (6) FAST ON THE DRAW was a camera shy bottom claimer until he was taken by the hottest barn on
the planet on 9/8, and then won his next 2 starts - finished 3rd for another new barn last week vs. 20s, and
the drop back to 15s can only help his chances - tough post, though. (1) WE THINK ALIKE is another
surprising re-claim on tonight's card - he was 0 for 27 here (last 2 yrs.) when he finally won on 9/21 and
was shockingly claimed that night...but then his previous owner took him BACK, last week -- maybe the
rail can get him into the hunt against the 15s. (3) MISTER HAT had some issue here 9/24 but qualified
back ok 5 days later - good enough for piece, assuming he's 100%. (4) CASINO BAGS ANSO has some ok
recent tries in NJ but he's 2 for 53 over the last 2 years - minor share only. (7) MAGRITTE hasn't really
functioned in months, making him yet another head scratching claim on tonight's card - we'll see if his new
connections can turn him around. (8) NORTHERN SPORTSMAN draws Post 8 after being empty last
week.
RACE 4 - (3) STARK HANOVER was an ok 3rd vs. 15s two back - bumped up to 20s off the claim and
was a solid 2nd best to the front end, stickout winner - this is a pretty soft bunch, and he may be able to get
his picture taken tonight. (1) RUTHLESS DUDE has been right there in 3 of his last 4 starts, with an awful
trip in the other - figures to be a major threat once again from the pole. (2) RYCROFT should be right in
the hunt with the move inside but he also figures to be overbet (he benefited from inside trips in his last
pair) - inclined to use him underneath. (5) I GET THAT was racing "ok" then was able to step up his game
a bit more for a new barn last week and grab the win - goes back to his previous connections tonight, and
we'll see how well he can keep the ball rolling. (6) EFFRONTE A has been plummeting down the class
ladder as quickly as he climbed it only recently - probably not a good idea to try to catch a falling knife! (8)
THEREISAPACEFORUS is a solid 12.5 but a series of claims has him all the way up in 20s, and coming
from last tonight - prefer others. (4) SWAGASAURUSREX trailed in his local debut - we'll see how he
does for a new barn tonight. (7) BRANDON HANOVER feels like he's a bit cheap for these.
RACE 5 - (3) ALLGONOWHOA landed on a horrible trip 2 back and last week's was even worse - have a
feeling he's still very sharp, and the move inside will give Stratton more options tonight - worth a play. (4)
MR DS ROCK benefited from an easy trip last week but did finish well - gets a barn change for tonight,
and we'll see if that helps him elevate his game a bit more. (5) WAVES OF A FIRE made a break before the
start last week but has otherwise been on a good roll - would definitely consider him for exotics, looking
for him to rebound for his new barn. (2) SHOREVIEW has been pretty inconsistent lately, but he would
definitely be a live player in here with anything close to his best effort. (6) ROCK N BLUE saw no dropoff
exiting the Dynamic Duo's barn last week, scoring a pocket victory for his new connections - does he have
another good one in him? (7) GOTHIC ROCK is a "borderline 20", but may have trouble getting involved
from out here. (8) TODDLER TANTRUM draws Post 8 off the claim - would normally give him a shot
even from out here, but for whatever reason, the Super Siblings are just 1 for 19 since the beginning of
October. (1) AMERICAN SONIC wasn't too good last week and now moves up in class off the claim -
we'll just pass (and watch), for now.
RACE 6 - (6) KEPT UNDER WRAPS A did disappoint a bit last week (tough trip) but he had valid
excuses in the few starts prior to that, and can definitely beat these on anything close to his best game - look
for him to show up sharper tonight, and be a major player. (2) BLACKTREE was terrific off the claim 2
back, but squandered a good opportunity in his last - he goes first time for the Dynamc Duo tonight but as
noted, the barn that normally clicks at nearly 40% is having a tough week (1 for 19) - be careful if he's way
overbet. (1) OURLITTLEGENERAL A landed on a terrible trip last week and deserves a pass - he's a very
legit player from this spot, but that 9/5 ML price definitely makes him a bit less attractive (from a wagering
standpoint). (3) IWONTDOTHATAGAIN is 0 for 26 this year but has been grabbing smaller pieces - ok for
the bottom of exotics. (8) CENTURY GRIZZLY is hard to like off his program lines but the last horse
Daley gave to somebody else to train (EFFRONTE A), went on a major tear in his new surroundings -
could be the "x factor" tonight. (4) STELLAS PHELLA never liked to win races but the 9YO returns to
Yonkers riding a "new" 2 year losing streak (0 for 38), and just hard to ever consider seriously. (5) TALK
SHOW hasn't been racing well in several starts - wait for better signs. (7) MR DS DRAGON seems a bit
cheap, while also drawing outside. - wait for a better spot.
RACE 7 - (8) MISSISSIPPI STORM just had no prayer 2 back (still solid late rally for 4th) but bounced
right back to pick up another Open win last week - the classy 6YO now has 15 wins over the last 2 seasons,
and has found ways to overcome tough spots in the past - this is a pretty soft Open group, so he may be able
to find a way to get it done once more. (1) GREY pulled off the pretty shocking upset 2 back (over #2) in a
career best mile, then proved it was no fluke with another sharp mile last week - makes her first try at this
top level and MAY be good enough right now to have a say. (6) MELADYS MONET is a question mark
tonight - this is the type of field where he'd normally be a major threat, but he might be a bit off his game
right now - would certainly use him....as long as the price is decent. (2) THANKFUL NO got beat at 5
cents on the dollar 2 back when she couldn't get past #1....but did come right back to jog the next week -
talented mare definitely has a chance for a good piece from this spot. (3) NO MAS DRAMA didn't fire her
best shot last week and settled for an even 4th - needs to be sharper tonight if she hopes to be a serious
player against these. (4) MOSTINTERESTINGMAN generally needs to be in a little easier to pick up his
wins, but a lot of these are in the same boat - still think he's likely looking at only a smaller piece tonight.
(5) MADHATTER BLUECHIP had been on amazing run, culminating with an Open victory 2 back - gave
way and folded badly last week, however, and may be slated for an OFF the pace try this time (after going
to the top 6 straight starts) - we'll see if he rebounds. (7) MAGIC VACATION gets no luck with the draw
and that figures to hurt his chances significantly tonight.
RACE 8 - (4) SAILBOAT HANOVER just couldn't keep it going on the front end last week and weakened
late to 4th - he may just be a better horse with something to aim at, and he's certainly a proven player
against these type - deserves a chance to make amends. (8) BOLT OF LUCK wasn't quite up for the tough
trip last week and things won't get any easier from Post 8 - he's another that definitely fits, though, and
could offer some pretty good value here. (5) ROLL WITH JR doesn't have the best looking Hoosier lines
but he moves to a top barn, and probably is a good fit with these locals - would be no surprise at all. (7)
GONNAHAVEONEMORE could be a live bomb - he definitely fits ability-wise, and he was trapped in the
stretch with no room in his last 2 starts - definitely one to consider for exotics. (6) FURIOUS BEACH
hasn't been as sharp in his last couple but if he bounces back to his better form, he'd at least have a chance
for a small piece. (3) BIG SIR has been unable to get it done even as he's dropped down the class ladder -
his speed puts him in play for a piece, but definitely leaning to others. (1) SARANAC BLUE CHIP can use
his speed to at least work out a decent trip from this spot, but does seem a bit overmatched. (2) PATRIOT
LINE probably needs to be in easier to be a player.
RACE 9 - (6) HILLEXOTIC was a very sharp 8 hole winner last week and is now 3 for 4 at YR (the lone
loss was when he got trapped in, and a zillion-to-one shot won the race!) - faces some tougher competition
tonight, but he seems up to the task. (4) GLOBETROTTING was used hard for the lead from Post 8 last
time and can be forgiven for tiring a bit - 4YO is a quality mare, and more than capable of trotting with
these with a little easier trip. (1) MAGICAL JOURNEY definitely benefited from a beautiful trip last week
but was also pretty sharp - gets a free ride tonight, draws best, and is an obvious threat to get back to the
winner's circle. (2) LEAN HANOVER lost to Brownie over at Fhd. (off the layoff), then missed another
month to his last start here (where he was short) - classy veteran can wake up at ANY time, but he seems a
bit risky to back right now. (7) NEW HEAVEN has been sharp for weeks, but lands in a tough spot tonight -
not sure how he can get into the race here, but at 20-1 ML he's more than worth using in exotics. (3) HALO
ITS ME has added some good consistency to her game but probably needs a bit easier to be a more serious
threat. (5) KASHA V needs a hot pace up front to make his late kick pay off - not sure he'll get that vs.
these. (8) HOMER HALL needs a better post (in an easier field) - tough spot.
RACE 10 - Good race: (4) FOLLOW YOUR HEART is good right now, and scored the nice pocket victory
for his new barn last week - seems to handle any trip, and that's a plus in a race that could go a lot of ways -
one of several possible winners in this competitive crew. (5) MR KELLY didn't fire his best shot last week
but was a sharp winner the week before, after coming up 2nd best in his YR debut - his best effort makes
him a legit threat here. (1) LL MYSTRO debuts for the terrific training tandem off the claim - if the barn is
sending out live ones earlier in the night, give this guy an extra long look! (6) KEYSTONE DASH has been
an "all or nothing" horse since arriving, winning 2 of his 5 starts, but finishing well back in the other 3 -
seems to like things his own way, but not sure that's a possibility against these - tough call. (3) MY WISH
CAME TRUE has done his best work sitting back and rallying late - chance for a piece with that trip
tonight. (7) ALEX HAVING FUN arrives from the Maine fairs and he does seem to fit here - the terrible
draw is the issue for tonight. (2) WELL DONE SON has disappointed far more than he's delivered lately.
RACE 11 - (6) HL REVADON always hinted at having more ability than he'd shown and his last 2 efforts
may suggest that the 5YO is finally coming into his own - steps up and draws outside upon arrival at YR,
but he just may be sharp enough to beat these....should be a decent price, despite the last 2 stellar lines. (5)
FASHION CREDITOR had been in a Yonkers drought before grabbing a couple of wins here in July - been
right there in his last few out of town, and looms a major threat returning to Westchester. (2) IT AINT THE
WHISKY has been knocking on the door the last few starts, draws inside his main foes and would be no
surprise at all. (3) THE LAST CHAPTER grabbed a win 4 starts back in NW15000 but usually ends up
with a smaller slice at this level - use underneath. (8) EYE OF A TIGER AS got over his local breaking
issues and has put together a very solid season - not a lot of options for him from Post 8, however, and
likely looking at only a smaller share tonight. (4) TOP FLIGHT ANGEL has been sharp for a while but
comes into this off a sick scratch, and may go conservative here, looking forward to a class drop next week.
(7) BIG BOX HANOVER has been making strides in the right direction, but probably needs a better spot
before he can be a serious player. (1) SWISS HOUSE ON FIRE looked good winning his last two but is
really taking a big step up tonight.
RACE 12 - (2) SOUTHWIND ONYX has looked good in a couple of starts since the barn change, figures
to get a decent trip here and could pull off the mild upset in the finale. (1) YANKEE OSBORNE fits a
softer class after being claimed for $40K last week and will most likely look to take these down the road -
decent chance he can get it done, but also figures to be overbet. (3) SWEET TRUTH came alive with a
much improved effort last week as his barn has been picking up, as well - a similar try could land him in
the exotics once again. (6) ALEPPO HANOVER is just 1 for 50 over the past 2 years - hard to consider on
top, but he's hit board in 8 of 22 local starts this year, and isn't a bad value horse to include underneath. (5)
MCCLINCHIE N does his best work one level down, but he's racing well right now and may be able to
squeeze out a small piece. (4) PARKLANE JET was clearly short shipping in last week, but may be able to
save ground and offer a little better effort tonight. (7) IAMMRBRIGHTSIDE N drops, but he's been
struggling and draws Post 7 - sticking with others. (8) ZIGGY SKY failed to menace from Post 8 last week,
and is back in the same boat tonight.
