RACE 1 - (5) LOOK IN MY EYES threw a total dud in NJ last week but if you're willing to overlook that,
he's just a few starts removed from holding his own here against the $75K claimers - anything even close to
that form would make him very tough against this basement level field. (6) TIDQUIST was turning in a
good looking wide rally for his new connections last week when he jumped offstride on the final turn - he
puts the hopples back on tonight, and that may help him to behave here....definitely could outperform that
20-1 ML price if the trip goes favorably for him. (2) NINETEEN CRIMES has been struggling in NJ/PA
lately but was doing good things back in Sept/Oct - ships in for a trainer/driver combo that does good work
together, and she may be able to perk up enough to have a big say here. (1) MY BOY CHRISTIAN often
feels like a very logical player, but he's also 2 for 39 locally over the past couple of years - hard to take a
short price on top, but also very tough to leave him out of exotics from this good spot. (7) CAVALIER GE
ORGE was pretty dismal last week but facing much better- terrible draw for tonight but at least this field is
more up his alley - ok for a small piece. (4) LOUIS has a few decent efforts among a mixed bag of lines but
his out of town form does suggest that he's on the cheaper side - leaning towards others. (8) TORKIL is at a
level where he's at least a threat to do some damage....but maybe not from out here. (3) SHORETHING FA
SHION is making his first start of 2022 after making just 2 starts all of last year - pass, and watch.
RACE 2 - (2) STICK WITH ME KID changed barns at Monti on 11/23 - he took no $$ and was no factor
but he was all business upon arrival at Yonkers the next week, making multiple moves and winning from
his outside post - lost all chance last week when he broke before the start but he did put in a big recovery to
only lose by about 4 lengths - dangerous player tonight if he behaves himself. (4) ANDOVER CONTESSA
caught a fast mile vs. better in her only local start this year but still picked up a 3rd - seems like a very good
fit with this bunch, and is one to seriously consider. (8) NEWSBOY has more than enough ability to beat
these, hails from a very potent trainer/driver team but he also will be starting from Post 8 after missing a
month (off a sick scratch) - would have to be a pretty good price to be worth considering on top. (6) MUS
CLE STAR was a steady 3rd two back then put in a big one for 2nd last week, pulling from turn two and
still battling all the way to the wire for 2nd - definitely one for exotics. (5) NEW HEAVEN wasn't at his
best for much of the year but he's really been off form lately - he's eligible to wake up on any given week
and jog at this level, but right now he does seem pretty vulnerable at what figures to be another short price.
(1) ABSOLUT UNCERTENTY is very hard to gauge off his current assortment of lines - he seems a bit
below several others, but he does draw best and wouldn't be any great shock. (7) NATURAL KEMP has 2
wins from 7 local starts but would look a lot better from an inside post - ok bomb for 3rd/4th. (3) MISS
YOU KELLY finally gets to drop a notch....but likely will need to drop even more to become a threat.
RACE 3 - (4) FRANTASY HANOVER showed solid potential at 2, taking a 1:51.2 mark while earning
$95K - never got things going at 3 but she was plunked by high profile owners for $72K at Harrisburg,
given to a barn that excels at the highest levels with all types of horses, and her qualifier suggests that she'll
be a very short priced winner right off the bat...especially adding Lasix tonight. (3) CHILLIN BYTHE PO
OL has gone more lesser miles than good ones but she did pick up a win 4 back, and was much sharper in
her last than her line might suggest - maybe can add some value to the exotics? (1) JE TAIME N wasn't into
the first over trip last week but her overall form has been steady - good spot to sit an easy trip, and grab a
big piece. (2) RAISE THE ANTE seemed way overbet last start but she landed on a nice trip, and was able
to rally on by for the win- a similar effort makes her another player for a board spot. (6) BLUEBERRY
SHAKE was very well backed last week, handled aggressively but weakened late to 3rd - figures to race
from the back tonight, and will be hard pressed to rally for more than a smaller share. (5) COVENANT
WOMAN seems a little cheap but she's used her speed in PA to grab pieces and we'll see if she can do that
with the locals as well. (8) FOX VALLEY CACHET drew poorly the last 3 weeks and failed to threaten -
feels like more of the same tonight. (7) ICARUS FALLS N ships in from PA and would seem to need an
easier spot to even hope to be a serious player.
RACE 4 - (4) GEMOLOGIST rebounded from a miscue 2 back with an excellent 2nd behind the
oft-winning WILLY WALTON last week - he's been a very strong player at this level for most of the year,
and looms the one to beat...as long as he behaves. (3) SECRET OR NOT trotted a steady mile for 4th in
NK last week racing off the bad date (sick scratch) - the ability has always been there, but he does tend to
be his own worst enemy at times - that 20-1 ML price makes him worth using in exotics. (6) ALL
CHAMPY has held form pretty well since leaving our former leading barn (none of his former barnmates
have won a race here yet for their new trainers, but this guy has remained competitive) - not a great draw,
but a little bit of trip luck could help him take home another good piece (5) CREDIT CON used a pocket
trip to help produce that 7-1 upset 2 back - was put on the lead last week and wasn't as sharp, however,
tiring to 4th in the stretch - eligible to bounce back off the pace tonight, at what figures to be a decent price.
(1) KANDY SWEET had a nice form spree recently but seems to have gone the other way in her last few -
would be a great spot for a wake up call, so give her a look if you think that might be coming. (2) SWISS
HOUSE ON FIRE has been a solid player for a while, but his only recent win came vs. easier - chance for a
small piece.. (7) MUFASAAS just hasn't been on his game in recent weeks, either on or off the pace- Post
7 won't make things any easier. (8) LIFETIME ROYALTY tends to lag/gap in his local starts, and that
figures to leave him too far out of this to do any real damage.
RACE 5 - Good race: (8) CAPTAIN T HANOVER was putting in a good bid when he hooked wheels on
the back side 2 back and lost all chance - was a little hard to steer last week as well, and ended up with an
"ok" 3rd - it appears he was purchased after that start, and lands in a barn that frequently improves horses
pretty significantly right off the bat...if they're serious from Post 8 tonight, this guy may be able to pull off
an upset in this evenly matched field. (3) STELLAR YANKEE ended up pinned to the cones last week as
the leaders battled through some sizzling fractions (without much chance in the lane after shaking free) -
he's gone some good miles here in the past, and is another that may be offering some decent value tonight.
(2) STILL THIRSTY has been plagued by gait issues throughout much of his career, but he's looked better
lately - if things go his way here, he's another with a chance at the upset. (1) ARTIST BEST has one good
move in him and used it to perfection in last week's victory - absolutely had a license to repeat, but he'll be
a short price and may not land on the winning journey this time. (4) TS RAIDER II made a break on the
final turn last week, and that may explain why Miller never looked to pull him earlier (he may have felt
"off" from the start) - when he's good, he's shown that he CAN beat these....consider if the price is right. (5)
LUC ROCKS has 2 wins from 8 local starts but those were cheaper fields, and he tends to be pretty
unreliable, in general - definitely prefer several others. (6) PBR STREET GANG raced well out of town but
he struggled at YR in the past, and has done so since returning. (7) DROWNS THE WHISKEY had some
issue last week and just backed up - waiting for a better effort before considering again.
RACE 6 - (4) STREET GOSSIP is getting top billing here but it's definitely with some hesitation - he's
down at a level he really should be able to beat, but he tired badly after cutting the mile 2 back (as the odds
on choice) then hung a bit last week, finishing 3rd after a perfect trip - he's the one to beat with the class
drop, but not one to bet the rent money on. (3) THE LAST CHAPTER didn't even pretend to be interested
from Post 8 last week but this is a much more logical spot for him - solid chance for a good piece, and even
a shot at the top prize, should the top one disappoint again. (2) DAGON HANOVER has been racing at
Monti in his last few but he fits well with these too - should end up with a good trip from this spot, with a
chance to land somewhere on the ticket. (1) FULL RIGHTS had been terrible for a long time but reversed
form with that win over cheaper 3 back, and has seen that form hold up in his last couple as well - chance to
grab a piece starting from the pole. (5) IM THE MUSCLE hasn't won in some time but he's been able to
pick up smaller pieces fairly consistently - may be able to do the same against these. (6) BIG CHARLIE
MORAN seemed to be coming back around and was our choice last week....but a break before the start
sealed his fate - not quite sure what to expect from him tonight, but the draw figures to hurt, regardless. (8)
INFINITY STONE probably would prefer to be in a little cheaper, and would surely prefer to have a much
better post - wait for a better scenario. (7) WHATS THE WORD has the speed to blast even from out here
but he may be a little too cheap to stick around, even if he can create a nice trip for himself - tough spot.
RACE 7 - (1) DOCS DELIGHT was 2nd best to the sharp WAITFOREVER N in her first try at this level -
left well but broke the next week but bounced back with a big mile in her last, charging home full of pace
after being handled conservatively - seems sharp enough for a chance to get it done from this spot. (5)
COMMANDER CATHY N went a strong mile at 15-1 last week and any of her better efforts would make
her a legit player here - hard to recommend on top at that 2-1 ML price, though (she's just 1 for 32 at YR,
with 11 seconds)! (4) PULL ME THROUGH appeared to have plenty of pace in the pocket coming into the
lane last week but never found room, and ended up 4th as a result - could add some value to the exotics
with a luckier trip tonight. (2) CLEAR THE WAY looked like an easy winner last week at the top of the
lane, but did have to work a bit to secure the victory - moves up to NW6 now, but the inside draw should
have her in the hunt with these too. (6) ADDICTIVEBEHAVIOUR shows a couple of good qualifiers out
of town after changing barns recently - she adds Lasix too, and may be worth at least a look at that 20-1
ML price. (7) AMERICAN HALO missed the board for the first time in ages last week, mostly because she
lacked any real room in the stretch - gets a rare outside draw now, and we'll see if Holland can find her a
manageable trip. (8) LOVE THAT SMILE raced well in her first 2 local starts but then tailed in her next
couple - been racing out of town ever since and while she does return in reasonably good form, she also
lands Post 8 - not sure she'll be able to overcome that. (3) BETTE TINA just feels a notch below these.
RACE 8 - (1) WILLY WALTON goes for 3 in a row and his 10th win of the season - he'll have to do it for
a new barn tonight, but that really shouldn't be a problem - short price looming. (6) FOR A DREAMER
was back in his favorite barn last week and delivered a powerful, long uncovered victory - he can be very
tough at this level, but may be spotting the top one too much of a post advantage. (2) AFTER ALL PAUL
took a while to get rolling this year but he's been pretty reliable for some time now - the good draw should
keep him close enough to use his late rally for a good piece. (3) BLUEBIRD JESSE picked up 3rds in his
last pair after a barn change - may be looking at a similar piece tonight. (4) EPOS OSTERVANG DK has
been in and out lately but he gets Bartlett for the first time in a while, and that may help him find one of his
better efforts - chance for a piece. (5) BIG BAD SWAN has enjoyed success at this level this year but could
only offer even late trot last week, and faces some tough ones tonight - will need to be better if he's hoping
to grab a bigger share. (7) UPFRONT STONE draws another outside post and will likely find himself too
far back to do any damage (like last week). (8) MIDNIGHT MIRACLE dropped to this level last week and
raced poorly from the rail...and now draws Post 8.
RACE 9 - MUCH tougher division of this class tonight, as it appears the races were seeded: (4) SILENT
SPLENDOR had a beyond brutal trip in his return from PcD and still wasn't beaten all that badly - moves
inside, HAS to get a much better journey, and may be able to come out on top in a race where virtually
ANY of the 8 horses can win! (7) MOMENTSTHATMATTER put in a massive move from the back last
week, got bothered to the final turn, regained his momentum and ended up drawing off at the end - if
Holland shows him the same confidence that Gingras did last week, he may have a shot to pull off another
upset. (2) ROSE RUN X CON raced well in each of his last 4 starts, draws inside, and should be able to
land on a good trip - legitimate chance. (6) HURRIKANE GEORGIE would be hard to leave off your ticket
(even from Post 6) as he's won 4 in a row, and is in the midst of a 26-11-9-2 season - he just finds ways to
always be there, and that may very well happen tonight too. (1) STRIKING IMPACT was no factor in his 2
local starts but those were against tougher, from bad posts - he dropped in for a tag in NJ last week and
scored the 30-1 shocker, and now draws the pole returning to YR - have to respect. (5) COLD CREEK FEL
IPE almost made it 3 in a row last week (with the 2 wins coming at big prices) - yet another that can't be
counted out here. (3) MAKE MY DEO is just 1 for 14 locally but picks up a lot of 2nds and 3rds - very
playable underneath. (8) PINE GROVE RACER seems too far out in his local debut but note that the (very)
young lady who trains him is winning races all over the East Coast at nearly a 30% clip this year!
