The Empire Report - Wednesday, November 17, 2021 - Race Analysis

RACE 1 - (6) BIG MONEY HONEY has raced well in all 4 starts since returning to Yonkers, seems to be

getting sharper each week, and always goes off at a good price - meets a shaky field tonight, and should

offer some good value in the opener. (1) KANDY SWEET is a tough call - would normally have a solid

chance to go wire to wire from a spot like this BUT she comes into this off a "scr. injured" line, and just

missed time from 9/3 to 10/20 as well - definitely a bit risky at what figures to be a pretty short price. (2)

BANK BOX TREASURE shows way more bad recent tries than good ones, but his "best" efforts could

make him a threat here - make sure to get a good price if he's your choice. (5) CREWS HILLTOPPER

didn't finish well enough in his last 2 local starts but those were quick miles, and he wasn't terrible - chance

for a piece. (4) LADY EAGLE hasn't been close to her best game in a while, and her only recent win was

on the lead, vs. much easier - willing to include underneath, but she may be overbet here. (8) THISISSHE

was good here in 2020, but has a 7-0-0-1 Yonkers record this year, and is stuck with Post 8 - would prefer

to wait for a better spot. (7) MAGNIFICENT SEVEN was the beneficiary of a dream trip last week when

he beat cheaper - probably won't be nearly as fortunate tonight. (3) MISS YOU KELLY does her best work

vs. cheaper - wait for a drop before considering.

RACE 2 - Pretty evenly matched group, on paper: (5) GABBYS GIRL has been ok in a few recent Chester

tries, moves to a barn that often gets good results with fresh stock, and gets Kakaley in the bike - one of

several possibilities in here. (8) HELLRUNNER HANOVER has a pair of 2nds and a 3rd in her last 3 starts

here, and listed at 10-1 ML - willing to use if she goes off at a juicy price. (7) IDEAL CHIP is 0 for 10 here

but did hit board in 5 of those starts - often finishes with decent pace, so maybe she'll have a chance IF

things get testy up front. (4) ALMOST KAREN had success at the Iowa fairs then won at PcD in her 2nd

start after shipping east - last couple of lines don't look too appealing, but she's eligible to rebound against

this very modest field. Both (3) BUMP IN THE ROAD and (1) BYTHEWAY HANOVER come out of the

same NJ qualifier, both have some decent tries (out of town) in the past and it would hardly be a surprise if

either of them had a say tonight. (6) JK A E ONE wasn't terrible in her local debut but she draws outside

and is 1 for 34 - minor piece only. (2) SWELLOOKINBEACH is 9-0-0-0 here at Yonkers - prefer others.

RACE 3 - (1) CINNABAR DRAGON suddenly reversed form on 10/8 (after struggling at the bottom

level) and rattled off 3 straight, including a win in this class 2 back- did well just to get 4th from Post 8 last

week, and now moves all the way inside - expect a very aggressive try tonight. (3) SEAFARER caught a

:55.1 final half in his first start in over 4 months and was still pacing well into it - may be worth a look

tonight with that start under his belt. (2) CLASS SIX ran into a horrific trip last week so just ignore that

effort - he was 2nd in this class 3 back, and the good draw could put him right in the hunt tonight. (6)

CARRACCI HANOVER was very sharp beating the 15s two back, then 2nd at this level last week vs. a

very sharp front end winner - the right trip could make him a late threat here...at a good price. (4)

MCNULTY Z TAM has held his form nicely as he's crept up the class ladder and was 3rd last week -

another that could do some damage if the trip goes his way. (5) PLAY THE FIELD often gets overlooked in

the wagering, and has registered some big upsets as part of his $85K season (so far) - doesn't feel like a

great spot, but he's always worth including if the price is good. (7) WAVES OF FIRE A wasn't bad last

week but faces a major uphill climb from Post 7. (8) WAGON MASTER could use a class drop, and much

better post!

RACE 4 - (4) BLUEBIRD RECON exits a pair of top barns but joins another for tonight - he's on top of

his game right now, and deserves top billing from this spot. (5) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN wired the 25s

two back and was a solid 3rd from the pocket last week vs. this class (right behind the top choice) - no

reason he can't land in the exotics once again. (6) WESTERN HILL won 3 of 4 starts before throwing a

couple of lesser efforts - rebounded with a win last week (dropping to 25s), and can be a player against

these too... as long as his trip works out ok. (2) AWESOMENESS would really do better in a bit cheaper,

but he may be able to grab a piece tonight with the inside draw. (7) SIX DAY WARS has been good lately,

but faces a tough task from all the way out here - maybe can rally for 3rd/4th? (1) MY DELIGHT finished

last in all 3 starts since the recent claim - should be able to be better tonight with the major post relief, but

still not ready to give him an endorsement. (3) TREASURE MACH was dull off the claim last week - will

wait for a better start before jumping back on his team.

RACE 5 - (8) DIVINE DEO was sent off at 1/5 for her local debut and jogged, as advertised - faces

tougher now and draws Post 8....but that also means a better price....we'll go with her on top. (1)

DASHINTOTHEB EACH N made an aggressive drive pay off last week as she picked up her first U.S.

victory from Post 7 - moves all the way inside tonight, and clearly has a real chance to repeat. (6)

NUTTINBUTTHEBEST shipped in from PcD riding a 3 race win streak and jogged from Post 8 in her YR

debut - came up 2nd best to a very sharp tripsitter in her last, but has every license to start a new streak

tonight - legitimate threat. (4) IDEAL IN MIRACLES had Post 8 in her last local try but was 2nd and 3rd

in the two tries before that - chance to rally for a piece, with the right trip. (3) PARTY QUEEN never seems

to race the same way twice - if she brings one of her better races, she has a chance for a small piece. (2)

KEYSTONE DELIGHT just wasn't sharp in either of her last pair - can contend for a minor piece if she can

rebound to one of her better efforts. (5) SOCIETY JILL looked better for a couple of starts before

regressing on 10/27 - not really sure what to expect from her tonight. (7) ROBMOTION BLUECHIP is in a

tough spot - pass for now.

RACE 6 - (3) BEVANS CULLEN N was 0 for 38 over the last 2 years....until suddenly remembering how

to win and taking 3 of his last 4 - may be able to take yet another for his new connections. (4) I GET THAT

was absolutely loaded in the pocket last week but never able to shake free - connections show confidence

by moving up a notch tonight...we'll see if they're right. (8) BARON MICHAEL landed on a tough trip in

his local debut but still went a big mile for 3rd (not far off 2nd) - will need some trip luck from out here,

but could have a hot (at a price) if he gets it. (5) SULLIVAN shows speed in most of his recent PcD races

but it's the final quarters that haven't been great - goes to a new barn for his YR debut and we'll see if he

can pick up his game a bit. (1) STARK HANOVER has been solid every week and draws best for his

owner/trainer - he also moves up in class, so we'll see if that good form will hold against these too. (6)

DAAMERICANSKY got parked in his YR return when hurt by inside leavers and another outside draw

may see him in the same boat tonight - if you think he can make the top, by all means use him (the price

will be right). (7) LIFEWITHJOHN has shown that he can hang with these under the right circumstances,

but that may be difficult from Post 7. (2) NIALL HANOVER shows plenty of good lines but seems

ambitiously placed against these.

RACE 7 - (5) TIAMOGONEDANCEN looked very good in her last, debuting for her new connections - if

she can build just a bit on that sharp effort, she might be able score at a decent price tonight. (2) BABS

JANSEN had some pace finishing from the back in her YR debut, then was right there 3rd last week behind

a couple of nice fillies - should be a very live player from this spot. (1) SHE KNOWS IT ALL now has 5

local starts and has been 2nd EVERY time...which is right in line with her 34-2-9-10 career slate - it really

wouldn't be a surprise if she was able to finally come out on top here...but she's hard to endorse for the

WIN slot at that 8/5 ML price. (3) VIOLETS RAINBOW is the "x factor" tonight - joined the hottest barn

in the megaverse on 10/6 and jogged here despite missing a month - was a neck winner in her next, but just

gave way and stopped last week - pretty tough to know what we'll get from her tonight. (8) HEAVENISSO

FARAWAY kept coming to win her local debut two back (beat the top choice), then was an ok 4th behind a

few good ones in her last - tough assignment tonight from Post 8. (4) LINE EM UP was very sharp in

NW4, winning her last pair - could only manage an even 5th moving up to this level last week, and may be

looking at only a minor share tonight as well. (6) TENTHOUSAND ANGELS seems to have leveled off a

bit after elevating her game considerably after the purchase this summer - outside draw figures to limit her

again tonight. (7) SUNRISE HANOVER seems a bit overmatched, and also draws terribly.

RACE 8 - (6) BEST HONEY HANOVER went off at 3-1 vs. much better last week but lost all chance

when caught behind the stopping leader - she's held her own vs. better for much of the year, and has a

decent chance to beat these IF young Tyler Miller can find her manageable trip from Post 6. (3) E R HILA

RY does her biggest damage one level down, but she still fits very well with these too - figures make her

presence felt at some point tonight. (2) MILADY DENVER A throws a ton of clunkers but also squeezes in

some big efforts when in the right mood - consider her if the price is juicy enough. (5) PAIGES GIRL has

been very consistent lately, but it's been some time since she's been able to win one - include her in exotics.

(1) WAKEMESHAKEME was handled aggressively last week and hung on for her 2nd win of the year -

lands in another good spot tonight, but doesn't offer much value as the 2-1 ML favorite. IDEAL HANNAH

goes from a barn that's 2 for 100 this year to one of the sharpest trainers around - it's tempting to give her a

shot, but she was scratched lame from her last, hasn't raced in a month, and is 2 for 53 lifetime! (7) SHEC

OULDBEGOOD N isn't sharp, and lands all the way outside - pass for now.

RACE 9 - (4) BLUE AND BOLD moves to another new barn but he's just too sharp right now to pick

against - wouldn't bet the ranch on him at another very short price, but he's clearly the one to knock off in

this class until proven otherwise. (5) ON HIGHER GROUND was needlessly overdriven by MacDonald in

his last local start and paid for it - bounced right back with a Pocono jogbuger, and gets Zeron at the lines

for tonight - could have a big say here. (8) STICK WITH ME KID finished right behind the top choice the

night he was claimed (3 back), was 2nd to the sharp Hillexotic in his next, then weakened in the stretch vs.

NW30000 last week - drops back in for the $50K tag, and has a chance to make some noise...even from out

here. (3) IN MY DREAMS has been holding his form beautifully, as consistency usually isn't his thing -

very playable in exotics in his current form. (6) HOMER HALL is one of the tougher horses to predict from

week to week - when he's in the mood, he can be a player with these....but it's hard to know which version

will show up on any given week! (7) HALO ITS ME was roughed up by #5 two back and paid for it late -

didn't really fire last week, and now lands Post 7 - the ability is there, but she may be a bit off her game

right now. (1) MISTER MUSCLE gave way to a sharp one last week and had to work to hold 2nd - faces

much tougher now, and will need to be better for a chance at a piece...even with the rail. (2) SEVEN IRON

does his best with easier.

RACE 10 - Good race: (6) THISJETSABOOKIN rallied crisply for 2nd three back, wired the field in his

nest then wired 'em again last week, this time with a very crisp :55.1 final half - moves up and goes for a

new barn, but just may be sharp enough right now o take another. (2) HASH TAG SWAG benefited from a

ground saving trip in last but still had to be pretty sharp to go from 8th, to almost winning - moves inside,

and deserves plenty of respect. (5) ALLGONOWHOA was racing mostly in bottom claimers but started to

move up the ladder and his form has held well along the way - was hurt by poor cover in last, and can be

even closer tonight with a better trip. (1) ER VEGAS tried the 3&4YO $30K claimers after being taken for

$15K and almost got the win - takes another jump to face older 30s tonight, but the rail draw could make

him a formidable player. (3) ABRAXAS BLUES A has done good work here the past couple of years but

it's hard to say if this move to 30s is a bit too ambitious - willing to include underneath. (4) SOUTHWIND

ONYX hung badly in the stretch after a pocket trip last week, and will need to be better tonight if he hopes

to remain a serious player. (7) KASEY JOHN A has been claimed 4 straight weeks despite being 1 for 22 at

Yonkers this year - draws Post 7 off a total clunker, and we'll just watch him this week.

RACE 11 - (7) MUSCLE STAR got parked the mile 2 back and still was there right to the end for 3rd - last

week he worked hard for the lead at the quarter then had to park another horse, battling almost the entire

way and still lasting for 3rd - he's clearly much sharper than his 15-1 ML price would suggest, and

definitely a good value horse to use tonight. (8) TONY SOPRANO can be forgiven for tiring a bit after

giving way to a big brush from DC ANNA last start - he's done some good work (vs. better!) with his

owner/trainer driving, so he has to be worth at least considering at a big price tonight. (3) EVA DAIRPET

FR has more than enough ability to crush these on her best....but she broke before the start for her new barn

upon arrival at YR last time, and has to be considered risky here...especially at that 7/5 ML price. (6)

THANKS FOR LEAVING never even looked good two back, debuting for a new barn - was much better in

her last, but ended up getting parked and lost all chance - another potentially good value play. (5) WHETH

ER OR NOT FI has stopped making breaks, but he also hasn't been any good - in desperate need of a major

wake up call. (2) TORREY PINES didn't click in either of his first 2 starts for a new barn - waiting for

better signs before endorsing. (4) BINGO QUEEN continues to struggle - may need to find someplace

easier to race if this goes on much longer. (1) WATKINS comes into tonight off a pair of sick scratches, and

times were definitely better when horses like this were forced to qualify (to protect the betting public) -

hard NOT to root for the 14YO as his career comes close to concluding, but it's also hard to like his

chances right now.

RACE 12 - (5) LETTUCERIPRITAA was a sharp winner off the claim 2 back and raced even better in his

last, even though having to settle for 2nd - not thrilled with him being listed as the 8/5 ML choice, but he

still deserves top billing. (4) ITSGOODTOBEDAKING saw his 3 race win streak ended with that miscue 2

back, then just opted to grab a clean mile after drawing Post 8 in his last - expect a much more serious try

tonight....which could make him a legitimate threat. (2) HAPPY TRIO went a huge mile last week,

somehow holding 2nd after being used hard every step of the mile - include in exotics. (3) SHOREVIEW

was helped by the inside trip last week but still delivered his best effort in some time - we'll see if he can

build on that. (6) SWAGASAURUSREX has actually been good since the recent claim - don't hesitate to

include him in exotics at that 20-1 ML price. (1) DERECHO was an ok 3rd from the pocket 2 back, but

brutally parked in last - he may really need to be in a bit cheaper to do his best, but he'll at least have some

kind of say in the outcome from the pole tonight. (7) LOUD SPLASH was a game 2nd off the claim last

week and definitely fits with these - not sure how much damage he can do from out here, though. (8)

ROCK THE NITE needs to show at least one "competitive" mile before he can be considered again.
