RACE 1 – Sharp field for tonight’s opener! (1) TWIST LITTLE GIRL was sent off at 90-1 last week (8 hole, up in
class) but still was able to fly home in the lane, a close 3rd after being well back on the final bend – her odds will
obviously come down considerably, but she could still be worth considering at what figures to be a fair price. (3) ID
EALINFUN is a rock solid player at this level and was a front end winner last week – very legitimate chance to take
another. (4) NO WIN NO FEED A has held her form remarkably well all year, and comes into tonight at 29-10-9-4
on the season ($182K!) – has to be considered a threat any time she’s in the box! (6) HEAVENS SHOWGIRL A had
been rallying crisply for good pieces for weeks and finally got her picture taken last start – will need some trip luck
in order to repeat from Post 6, however. (2) PEMBROKE SOUTHIE has enjoyed a very solid season, but just seems
to struggle in THIS class – prefer others a bit more. (7) NIKASA N has managed to jump from 20s, to 25s, and now
50s seamlessly, and was a close 2nd (to #3) last week – the post is the obvious knock. (8) CRUISERSFOXYJUDY is
yet another proven player in this class, but will need a lot to go her way to reach from out here. (5) CALLMEQUEE
NBEE A recently rattled off 5 straight but does seem to have leveled off in her last few – in a tough field here!
RACE 2 – (5) TIP TOP CAT has raced well in his 6 local tries but is still seeking his first Yonkers victory – he was
an excellent 2nd behind a classy winner last start, and may be able to get over the hump tonight. (1) MAMBA was no
factor at all last week but may not have been all that serious after getting away 7th – he has several starts from not
that long ago that would make him a threat here, and that 12-1 ML price does give him some appeal. (4) WHY NOT
NOW banked over $600K at 3 but he’s certainly suffered the Four Year Old Blues, currently 11-0-0-1 for just $21K
– he moves to our leading trainer and improvement can be expected...but that 2-1 ML price makes him hard to back
on top. (2) OUTLAW MAN N won his first 2 local starts then was 2nd best to a sharp winner last week – he moves
up considerably for tonight, however, and we’ll see if that slows him down a bit. (6) VENTURESOME ARDEN N
survived at 1⁄2 last week, but will need to be a lot better to beat THIS crew – he’s had an outstanding 2024 season,
but he does seem to be on the down side right now. (3) J M MANDAMIN is just one of MANY sharp horses in his
barn...but he’s missed 3 weeks, and that MAY leave him at a bit of a disadvantage in this solid field. (7) TWIN B
DELUXE has been sharp for some time, but the draw does figure to limit his output for tonight. (8) ESCAPE TO
AMERICA is the outsider...literally and figuratively.
RACE 3 – (4) HUMBLE A couldn’t have been any more impressive in his U.S./local debut, brushing from 5th and
beating the field by 10 lengths – hs didn’t “crush” the field in his next, but he did pace home effortlessly in :27 to
score at $2.10 – hard to go past tonight. (1) TEXAS HOLDEM was a winner 3 back, then held well for 4th after a
two move, first over try last week – could complete the exacta with an easier trip. (5) ALRITEALRITEALRITE
ships in from Freehold where he saw his form improve considerably after moving to our leading barn – no reason he
can’t be a player here too. (3) D A MCDREAMY chased the top choice nicely when 2nd best two back but wasn’t
quite as effective when faced with a tougher trip last week – still worth using underneath. (7) KID FROM THE BRO
NX was handled aggressively last week and responded with a game front end score – needs a quick start if he hopes
to contend for a piece from out here. (6) SPRING BLAKE has shown some late pace for pieces but may find himself
a little too far back tonight. (2) BET ON MAC also ships in from Fhd. but seems a bit below #5 – minor share? (8)
WARRIOR FOR TRUTH has raced well in his 4 local tries but faces a tall task tonight from Post 8.
RACE 4 – (4) FRONDEUR disappointed at 1/5 when 2nd best on 9/17 but did bounce back (at 6/5) with a victory
last week – she’s been rock solid in this class since returning from Tioga, and we’ll give her the slight edge tonight.
(1) SPORTS FLIX beat the 20s on 8/27, struggled twice in 25s then won her last pair back at this $20K level –
clearly the main danger, and it really is tough to separate the top two. (2) SHOTGUN PERSUASION was freshened
up, and finished right behind the top pair in her last couple – will be there to capitalize should either of them falter
tonight. (5) PLEASURE SEEKER has been “ok” lately, and playable here for 3rd/4th. (3) PALADIO seems a notch
below the top ones, but the good draw puts her in play for a minor share. (8) ROCKINWITHDAVE can’t be written
off after just 2 local tries, but we’ll wait for a better spot before considering. (6) TESLA POWER has yet to threaten
since arriving from Fhd. (7) EVAS SPORTS CZECH has really been struggling for some time.
RACE 5 – The last time (1) CYRUS N raced at this bottom level he delivered a 2 move, 4 length blowout – look for
an aggressive try from this spot, with a solid chance to come out on top. (2) JIMMY CONNOR B is used to facing
much better and will surely appreciate tonight’s class relief – he’s also off his best game right now, so we’ll see if the
move to the basement is enough to get him back on track. (5) ALEX TYE was well supported last week, earned a
two hole trip and came up 2nd best to a sharp winner – another good trip could put him right back in the hunt. (3) RI
CARDOSHILYSHALLY was a tiring 2nd in his only Yonkers try (back in March) – debuts for a new (top) barn
tonight, and seems playable in exotics. (4) PINE BUSH ITALIANO has a dreadful local record over the past 2 years
but wasn’t terrible last week, and gets some post relief – maybe 3rd/4th? (6) CAPTAIN BATBOY is now winless in
15 starts this year and it’s hard to make any excuses for him at this point – tough draw tonight. (7) YNOTTHISHOS
was unable to get involved from a similar spot last week and faces the same dilemma tonight. (8) B LIKE CRUISER
is having a rough year, and currently 10-0-0-1 here at Yonkers.
RACE 6 – (4) JAHAN HANOVER was freshened up for a couple of months then returned with a sharp try, rallying
nicely for 2nd behind a dominant FUNATTHEBEACH N – may be ready to pick up a win with that solid tightener
under his belt. (1) FRANCO NANDOR N pulled off a form reversing shocker on 8/13 then proved it was no fluke
by holding that form very well since then – draws the pole tonight, and is a very legitimate threat. (2) PYRO moved
to a new barn last week and seemed to be fine with the change of scenery, toughing out a game win over cheaper –
he’s been known to string together wins in the past, and is worth a good look here. (7) LYONS SURFING sprouted
wings last start, flew to the top from Post 8 then buried the field with a vicious 1:51.1 mile – hard to ignore that
effort, but note that he was claimed that night, and it’s hard to know if he can be as effective for his new crew,
moving up in class. (3) THIS IS THE PLAN is in the midst of a tough year, but did find some better form in his last
pair at PcD (vs. cheaper) – may be some better value with others tonight. (8) BRUTALLYHANDSOME A was a
sharp (close) 3rd last week and does fit well here – not sure he can find a way into the hunt from out here, though. (5)
MYSWEETBOYMAX is off 3 weeks and moving up 2 classes – prefer others. (6) YO A J squandered a good trip
from the rail last week and now draws Post 6.
RACE 7 – (5) BLUE LOU improved his Yonkers record this year to 3 for 4 with last week’s sharp front end score –
he moves up a class tonight, but he beat even better than these here back in July – may be able to take another. (1)
LUCKBEWITHALEX has won 3 of his last 4 starts, all for this incredibly hot trainer/driver team – he also steps up
tonight, but can handle this class as well when sharp – very legitimate threat. (2) ROLL WITH THE FLOW was 2nd
best in his local debut and a winner last week – he’ll definitely be taking on tougher tonight, and we’ll see if he’s up
for it. (4) REAL WILLEY had disastrous tries in 2 of his last 3 starts but was used VERY hard for the lead both
times– a more reasonable trip could put him back in the hunt (6) TWIN B POWERBALL arrived sharp from Canada
and was an excellent 2nd behind the top choice in his Hilltop debut – would have liked his chances tonight a lot more
with a better draw, however. (8) SINBAD N draws yet another horrible post but he’s still managed to charge home
for pieces even from these awful spots – maybe he can do it again? (3) CASINO ACTION N has to appreciate the
post relief but it’s hard to say if he’s sharp enough right now to really take advantage. (7) MASONS DELIGHT N
really wasn’t bad last week but the outside draw will probably seat his fate for tonight.
RACE 8 – (8) VERDUN gets banished to Post 8 after beating these the last 4 starts (twice from on the pace, twice
from off) – hard to know if Lachance will handle him aggressively enough to give him a chance from out here but
HIMSELF N almost pulled it off from the 8 hole on Monday night (at 14-1, despite winning 3 in a row) so maybe
this guy can have a chance to pull it off? (4) RACING RAMPAGE was simply unbeatable for a while but he’s come
back to earth recently, winning just one of his last 4 (while hitting board in the other three) – still a real threat, but be
careful about taking too short a price right now. (6) WESTERN ERA added Lasix last week and rebounded with a
very nice try, rallying for 3rd at 55-1 – worth using in exotics at another big price tonight. (5) NIGHT HAWK usually
struggles a bit up at this level but he’s sharp right now, and may be able to grab a share. (2) BLUE HUNT is finally
starting to live up to his potential, though his lazy tendencies are still a bit of a concern – another that’s tough to take
too short a price with. (3) TWI N B SEAMONSTER hasn’t embarrassed himself at this top level but it does look
like he would appreciate some class relief. (7) BINGE ON YANKEE raced very well from a tough spot last week
but he lands another less than stellar draw for tonight, and may need to wait for a better spot before we see his best.
(1) HEZ ALLTHE RAGE N weakened off an easy trip in his first try at this level – sticking with others, for now.
RACE 9 – (4) FALL IN LINE is 7-3-1-2 to start his career in Canada and seems to be getting better in a hurry – he’s
likely facing tougher here than in his last couple of blowouts up North, but it also looks like he may be up for it. (6)
MY FAVORITE DALI appeared to have some issues that sidetracked him so far at 2 and 3 but it also looks like
there’s some ability in there – very nice qualifier for his new barn last week, and he does have appeal at that 10-1
ML price. (2) BUILD THE WALL was forced to pull earlier than he wanted last week, ended up sitting to wait for
cover and that may have cost him a victory (he rallied late to just miss) – would be no surprise at all here. (3) AMER
ICAGREATAGAIN moves back inside and the assumption is that he’ll be handled more aggressively – chance for a
piece. (7) AYR BALMORAL GB has been a solid player most weeks against these but will need some trip luck to
overcome the poor draw. (1) METAMAN was hurt by a slow start in his local debut before finishing up better – he’ll
need a more alert start if he hopes to contend for a bigger share tonight. (8) ROYAL DESIRE got way too hot on the
lead last time and tired badly – he was scratched sick from his next, and draws Post 8 tonight– will keep an eye for
future consideration! (5) TIMELY BET hasn’t threatened in 3 local tries so far – leaning elsewhere, for now.
