RACE 1 – (4) SAUBLE DELIGHTFUL is a solid player in this class, and was a front end winner 2 back (and really
not bad last week, when somehow still 4th, despite a brutal trip) – deserves the edge in tonight’s opener. (2) P L POR
TIA is just 1 for 16 this year but does have 5 seconds, including her last local try (on 10/2) – gets a good draw for
her YR return, and should be in the thick of this. (5) FORTUNADA drops in for a tag and Nap did just win with her
recently at PcD – should fit well here, with a chance to make some noise. (3) LINE EM UP got lost in the back last
week but should be able to be much more aggressive with the move inside – very playable in exotics. (1) DANDYS
SHOWTIME has had a rough year for our leading barn (just 1 for 27 locally) but may be able to at least grab a small
share from this good spot. (7) PHELGON has been racing ok vs. lesser in some amateur races in PA but tonight’s
draw figures to really hurt her chances to be a serious player. (8) PINE BUSH MAGA is 0 for 37 at YR and starts
from Post 8. (6) SUNSET SOPH took 3 starts just to re-qualify after missing time – pass, for now.
RACE 2 – (1) BEANTOWN BABE was sent off at 1/10 dropping down to 20s last week and absolutely crushed
‘em – she moves back up to 25s tonight, but did just miss in this class 2 back – we’ll give her a try from the pole. (2)
RE AL LADY SADIE picked up her 13th win of the season with last week’s front end score (8th Yonkers victory) –
she’s a threat any time she goes behind the gate, and tonight is no exception. (3) LAZIN ON THE BEACH is
another rock solid player in this class, hitting board in 5 of 6 starts since returning from out of town – she came up
2nd best to #2 last week, but is certainly worth considering on top if the price is right. (5) PARADISE ROCK L has
been very consistent lately, and should fit nicely for this $25K tag – a good trip puts her in play for a good piece. (7)
SALE EL SOL was a solid 2nd in this class 3 back behind a very sharp winner – she fits nicely for sure, but may
have some trouble reaching from out here. (8) MIKI THE CLOWN is another that fits very well at this level, but
who may have issues trying to get into contention from the back of the pack. (4) BADDITUDE might need some
class relief before she can be a serious player (6) UNITY has 9 wins this year but her most current form just hasn’t
been nearly as good.
RACE 3 – Good race: (7) UNRIVALED HANOVER was a winner here on 10/22 upon arrival from Canada – he
had no chance the following week (brutal 8 hole trip) but was 2nd to the sensational HUMBLE A in his next, then
jogged at Plainridge last week – could be a good value play if he can overcome the outside draw. (1) LEGAL ATTA
CK was a close 2nd in his local debut then just couldn’t hang on after cutting the mile last week – gets Bartlett back
on board for tonight, and looms a major danger. (3) D A MCDREAMY has a couple of 2nds behind Invitational
winner HUMBLE A, and charged home to win last week at 14-1 (for his red-hot barn) – another very live player. (2)
ICACO HANOVER has been a model of consistency lately, with a win, 2 seconds and 2 thirds from his last 5 starts
– hard to leave him out of exotics. (4) DEALERS TURN is yet another proven player in this class but he has just 1
start in 5 weeks and that could hurt in this very solid field. (8) KID FROM THE BRONX has his share of good
efforts but will need a ton of luck to threaten from out here. (6) TWIGGS PUB was a disappointing 3rd in this class
last week and will need to be much better to be a player with these. (5) FERRAGAMO HANOVER would be a
surprise, to say the least.
RACE 4 – (1) YS SENSATIONAL CITY is a player in this class every week and gets to call the shots from the rail
tonight– feels like the road to the winner’s circle goes through her. (3) AMBUSHED has sharpened out of town vs. a
bit easier, but she’s a proven player vs. these types on the local scene – definitely could have a real say tonight. (2)
NIKASA N has been right in the hunt for weeks but her last WIN came back on 9/3, and that was vs. 25s – would
want a decent price to use on top, but very willing to include in exotics. (4) WOODMERE HARRIET took a couple
of starts to find her best after a recent barn change but her last 2 starts were outstanding, and saw her elevate her
game dramatically for her new crew – deserves plenty of respect here, even up in class. (7) HEAVENS SHOWGIRL
A had been sharp for a long time before failing to fire at all from the back last week – she was claimed that night,
and comes into this a question mark for her new connections. (8) CELIA B MONEY failed to have any impact from
a similar spot last week – faces a tough assignment tonight. (5) CHARMING VIXEN is very solid vs. 25s, but hard
to recommend taking on 50s tonight. (6) LOOKOVERYOUR probably will need a drop to be a serious player again.
RACE 5 – (2) PINK RUBY was a little dull 2 back but added Lasix last week and bounced back immediately, a
close 2nd (and probably a winner if she had more room) – the one to beat tonight, though there won’t be much of a
price to be had. (8) LADY WISHES ships in sharp from PA and NJ and drops in for a tag, perhaps looking to take
advantage of her generous 3YO filly allowance as the year winds down – has to be respected here, even from the far
outside. (5) JILLIAN JIGGS wasn’t bad last week and has actually raced well when she’s left the gate in the past –
may be a spot where Smith can be aggressive, and help this mare grab a nice piece. (4) IRIS SEELSTER
disappointed in her last after an “ok” first local start – would consider underneath IF the price is good enough. (3)
BROOKDALE JESSIE moves inside, and an easy trip could help her grab some minor spoils. (1) EILEENS WISH
arrives from Fhd. but does seem a bit on the cheaper side – never hurts to have the rail and Bartlett, though. (7) DUC
K INTO THE NITE would rally at times in the past but her overall current form is lacking – not sure she can have
any impact tonight. The year is really winding down and (6) ACEFOURTYFOUR ALEX is still looking to be 1st or 2nd
for the first time in 2024 – Post 6 isn’t going to help her cause.
RACE 6 – (6) CHANTEE ended up 3rd over in a weak flow last week, was last as they turned for home but roared
home to pass ‘em all except for the winner (#1) – if he can find a better trip tonight, he’s sharp enough for a chance
at the upset. (1) SPEED MAN N was an easy front end winner from Post 7 last week, but was also helped by weak
efforts from most of the others – the classy 10YO has a very real chance to make it 2 in a row. (3) CENTURY HEIN
EKEN shipped back in off a front end score at Chester and was equally sharp in his front end (local) score last week
– steps up seeking to extend that streak to 3, and it would be no surprise if he was able to do it. (3) ILIKEMEBETT
OR is also seeking 3 in a row, but this will definitely be a tougher test for him – insist on a good price if trying him
on top. (2) JETT STAR N was a strong performer Down Under, winning 22 races and $200K – his 2 U.S. starts (at
Plainridge) were “ok”, but he should be capable of better – would give him a look if the price creeps high enough.
(7) FIZZING N steps up racing well but gets a tough draw with several main rivals to his inside – may be looking at
a more modest share this time. (5) JUSTASEC N was terrible for a few starts, started to turn things around with easy
trips (vs. easier competition) but regressed again last week – not quite sure what to expect from him tonight. (8) LE
VINE is now 0 for 23 on the year, and tonight’s draw isn’t going to help his cause.
RACE 7 – (4) BIRTHDAY came into his last off a bad date and then had the misfortune of getting viciously parked
through fractions of :26.1 and :54.1 – he’s been a strong 3-5YO Open performer when sharp, and probably deserves
a full pass for last week – we’ll see if he can make amends tonight with a more normal journey. (1) ROCK DIAMO
NDS N got a little freshening after finally seeing his seemingly endless winning streak come to an end back on 8/27
– he’s clearly back in fighting form right now, and looms a major threat if the top one doesn’t bring his best. (2) GR
EG THE LEG can probably just tow along all the way from 3rd in here...and that could help him pick up a decent
share. (3) SHAKESPEARE lacked stretch room last week though it’s hard to say what he really had left in the tank –
he’s actually been better racing off the pace these days, and perhaps can rally for a nice slice here. (7) CUT N RUN
was well backed for his U.S. debut (5/2) and missed by a neck – he was sent off at 3/5 in his next, but had to settle
for 2nd once more...tough draw tonight, with some sharp ones to his inside. (5) HAZEVILLE lost all chance when
pushed wide to the half last week – he’s not on his best game right now, and probably looking at minor spoils only.
(8) SONNY WEAVER N ships back in off a nice 2nd at PcD but will need a lot to go his way to be a major player
from out here. (6) UNDRTHSOUTHNSUN N rarely wins, and gets a tough draw in a pretty good field.
RACE 8 – (6) TIP TOP CAT hasn’t found the winner’s circle in his 8 local starts but he’s hit board 5X and generally
faced tougher than these – had no prayer last week (sitting 7th as GOOD horses got over the half in :57.4) but he may
have found a spot where Gingras can get aggressive...and maybe get him to the winner’s circle. (3) TICKERTAPE
HANOVER was 3rd behind a pair of good ones two back, then just missed after cutting the mile last week – remains
a legitimate threat despite moving up one class. (5) OPTICAL ILLUSION N was handled conservatively last week
(7 hole off 3 weeks) but did finish well to easily beat the weaker ones) – he’s capable in here, and could easily
outperform that 10-1 ML price. (4) TASTE OF HONEY saw his 3 race winning streak ended last week when he
couldn’t finish the front end try – goes for a new barn tonight, and we’ll see if that affects him. (7) VICI was a well-
backed sharp winner 2 back, then finished with solid pace (from an impossible spot last week) – would have liked
his chances a lot more here if not for Post 7. (1) ULTIMAROCA was empty despite an easy trip last week, and will
need to be much better to be a player tonight. (8) SOUTHWIND PETYR has been very consistent but hasn’t won in
some time, and is just 1 for 22 locally this year – long way to come from out here. (2) STAY GROUNDED is a nice
horse, but his 7-0-0-0 local slate suggests that he just prefers racing elsewhere.
RACE 9 – Tough race! (3) AFLAME HANOVER has never been a “great” horse, but he makes his starts every year
and the 8YO has compiled an impressive $600K bankroll – he’s been racing well against modest competition in PA,
and gets Yannick upon arrival tonight – may prove the right one in a field abundant in question marks. (6) MASONS
DELIGHT N was well backed last week (off a pair of sharp tries) but was used way too hard early on and paid a stiff
price for it – he does look tempting at tonight’s 15-1 ML price. (5) THE REAL ONE feels a bit off his better form
but the 14YO is running out of time for one last career victory...maybe he can trip out and rally by late? (7) IDEAL
SOMEMAGIC A ($412K in 2023) came into this year’s Borgata Series sharp but struggled in the legs and went on
the shelf right after – he just recently qualified back, and his lone start (in NJ) wasn’t all that encouraging – maybe
the tote board will provide some clues? (1) NINETEENTHMAN A hasn’t clicked yet for the same barn change that
sent ROCK DIAMONDS N to a whole new level – maybe tonight? (2) SHADOW CAT had things his own way on
the front end at the bottom level last week and failed to deliver at 50 cents on the dollar – he’ll still get plenty of tote
action here, and just seems too risky (on top) right now. (4) GAMBLINGTERROR doesn’t feel like a threat for the
top slot, but he did hit board in his last three starts. (8) IGNATIUS A would normally be a big threat at this level but
he’s not on top of his game, and starts from all the way outside.
RACE 10 – (4) FAMILY RECIPE hit a brief rough patch recently, but his last couple were much better – drops to
the basement, catches a blank field, and feels like a short priced winner. (3) SOUTHBEACH WINNER was well
backed and handled aggressively off the class drop last week but tired badly in the lane – maybe an easier trip (in
this overall soft field) can perk him up a bit? (7) HICKFROMFRENCHLICK hasn’t been finishing well and draws
Post 7 after 3 weeks off – on the flip side, he’s listed at 20-1 ML and Ray S. doesn’t usually take off the gate –
maybe he can add some juice to the exotics? (6) THRASHER failed to grab even a small check in 5 of his last 6
starts, albeit vs. better – waiting for some better signs before giving him more serious consideration. (1) SWEETS
OUTHRNLASS N was more competitive in her last couple, after a very rough season – she gets Bartlett tonight, but
we’ll wait until she’s entered in the proper class (vs. mares) before thinking about a wager. (2) AUSSIE HANOVER
is struggling and his barn is ice cold – hard to recommend right now. (5) MASTER MIKI is another from the barn
that has been competing mainly in amateur races – may be a little cheap. (8) BULLVILLE FRANK seems somewhat
buried for his local debut...especially from Post 8!
RACE 11 – (2) PLEASURE SEEKER won a bunch of races earlier in the year – she’s had a bit of a drought, but she
hit board in her last 3 starts and could land on a very good trip tonight – narrow edge in a tough finale. (3) CHILLIN
BYTHE POOL never got close from Post 8 last week but just missed to the prohibitive favorite the start before –
could be a threat with the move inside. (1) RAISE THE ANTE is a little hard to gauge class-wise off her form out of
town but she has speed from the rail with Yannick, and will surely make her presence felt tonight. (7) CANNERY
ROW went some solid miles here for current connections but gets a tough draw returning from Monti – would
consider for exotics, assuming she’s a decent price. (4) TYRA MAKES BANK usually takes $$, always shows
speed, but just isn’t as sharp as she was a few months ago – better value with some others. (5) EBONY LADY
hasn’t been much of a threat lately, and would need to up her game to be a serious player tonight. (6) THATSMYTY
PE has a couple of ok local tries but tonight’s draw figures to limit her involvement, (8) PROVE EM WRONG has 2
recent wins, but with good trips from inside posts – hasn’t thrived in spots like THIS in the past.
