RACE 1 - (3) RCKAROUNDTHECLOCK N certainly fits the description "lots to like!" - won 3 of 4 in
Australia before shipping over to the U.S., then qualified impressively at Stga. pacing home in :27.4 while
facing good older mares -- super impressive in a follow-up qua. as well, then absolutely jogged (at 1/5) on
3/3 -- connections recently brought over the instantly successful SOME WARATAH A, and should do very
well with this mare too. (1) WOODMERE HARRIET compiled an 8-0-3-3 local record before racing for a
while at Fhd. - returns to a spot where she should fit nicely, and may add some value underneath a very
short priced winner. (4) CHELSKI has won 2 of her 3 local starts, with a close 2nd (to the odds-on winner)
in the other - very logical threat to land somewhere on the ticket. (5) ADMITYOUREWRONG was ok in
her local debut then raced well in her next, despite a tough trip - just not sure what trip she'll get tonight. (6)
LINE EM UP wasn't bad at all as she made her career debut from an impossible spot - draws outside again
but she'll be a big price, and just may be able to rally for a small piece. (2) IDEAL HANNAH is 0 for 27
lifetime and has only 1 start in 6 weeks - prefer others tonight.
RACE 2 - (4) BLENHEIM had been disappointing for weeks (months?) but showed up with a BIG effort
last time...and would have been a jogburger had he not been unlucky to draw in with the very classy YES --
he'll probably be the 2nd choice in the wagering tonight but if he can replicate last week's effort, he'll have
a fair shot to come out on top. (6) FULL RIGHTS started to fall off his game a few starts back but a drop to
NW7500 last week resulted in a pocket trip, and 2nd place finish - drops again tonight (to the bottom level),
and the road to the winner's circle likely goes through him (but he'll be overbet). (1) SUPERIORCOURT
changed barns 2 back and was instantly a blowout winner at Monti - solid 3rd in his YR return, and now
draws best for tonight...next in line should either of the top pair falter.(2) BARNEY MAC was improved 2
back but just "meh" in last - good draw does make him a live player for 3rd/4th, though. (8) SIR JOHN F
gets killed by the draw once again and his opportunities will be limited - still a chance he could rally for a
small share with some racing luck. (5) MUFASAAS was just even in most of his starts before making that
break last week - needs to find more if he wants to contend for a piece of this. (3) TEARDOWN THIS
WALL wasn't a factor in either local start - may need to find a softer spot to be a contender. (7) MISS YOU
KELLY hasn't been sharp, and now gets stuck outside - doesn't figure to get into the mix tonight
RACE 3 - M Life Rewards Gents Pacing Series - To say that (2) DRAGON SAID has "improved" (since
moving to his new barn, 2 starts back) would be the understatement of the year -- the transformation in this
horse has been truly eye popping, as he went from low-level Fhd. afterthought to delivering fire-breathing
:27 final quarters in literally one start - the barn has improved many horses substantially....but the job
they've done with this guy is truly amazing...the one to beat tonight, and probably in the Series. (5)
ROLLING WITH SAM has looked good in both starts since returning to Yonkers, and his ability to handle
any trip should help him here...but he'll need the top choice to regress significantly for a chance at the top
prize. (7) MY PAL JOE was sent off at 3/5 last week off his impressive resume but he didn't leave well, and
that left him with way too tough trip to overcome (even though he still raced well) - drawing Post 7 may
leave him looking at only a smaller piece tonight, again. (3) CIGAR SMOKING TONY was used very hard
last week and can be forgiven for getting a little tired in the latter stages - the easier the trip here, the bigger
the piece he'll go home with. (6) LEVEL UP disappointed in last after looking a little better the week
before - stuck outside, and hoping to just save ground for a minor share. (4) SWEET TRUTH just hasn't
clicked since the recent sale purchase - will wait for better signs before considering. (1) REDDING
HANOVER seemed way overmatched last week - not sure the rail will help his cause enough
RACE 4 - Much more competitive than the first 3 races: (3) ARMAGEDDON SEELSTER was scratched
sick from his last and comes into this off 3 weeks -- but when 100%, he's a very dangerous player in spots
like this - if the price is decent, he's worth using. (1) LUCKY WEEKEND seemed to get a bit jammed up
on the 2nd turn last week and went offstride - he'd been behaving well prior to that, so perhaps it was just a
blip...has the talent to beat these with a clean trip. (2) ABBIES CELTICLASS had Post 8 off a sick scr. last
week but still came up with one of her typically solid efforts - she'll be a good price here, and is absolutely
worth including. (5) COOL CLIFFORD has been doing good work in NJ for his current barn, and has more
than enough ability to handle these...he's also made a few breaks on half mile tracks recently, and broke in
one of his 3 starts here last year - definitely some risk, so insist of a fair price if using on top. (4) IN MY
DREAMS was a solid front end winner last time, but also benefited from a few main foes self destructing -
license to repeat, but it won't be nearly as easy. (6) SPLIT RAIL is pretty good right now, but lands outside
all the main players - throw in for 3rd/4th, if spreading. Both (7) ESA & (8) KING CAST are in solid form
at the moment, but both are up in class from their best levels, and stuck way outside - wait for better spots
RACE 5 - M Life Rewards Gents Pacing Series - (4) LOUS SWEETREVENGE has won 3 of his 4 local
starts, including a victory in the first leg of this series - he never looks "flashy", but he does know how to
get the job done - and will be favored to do it once again tonight. (8) DIAMONDBEACH went through an
ugly rough patch for a while but is back on his game right now - the draw suggests that he'll have to try to
leave tonight, and that may or may not work out...can be the main danger with some decent trip luck. (3)
ODDS ON BREXIT was used very hard last week and had license to weaken...but he hasn't been as sharp
(in general) recently, and will need to get back to his "A Game" if he hopes to contend for the top slot here.
(7) ILLBEWATCHINGU was killed by a shuffle last week but was pacing well, after the fact - on his best
he can contend with these...but will need for Zeron to make something happen to overcome the poor draw.
(2) TREVORS ACE absolutely benefited from the hot pace last week but was still pretty good in his own
right - playable for a small piece with the good draw. (5) SOCIAL THEORIES can grab pieces when he
lands on easy enough trips - will look to save ground, and take home a slice. (6) STOP ACTION has been
totally in and out, but even the "in" version would struggle to do much damage in this spot. (1) ELITE
RETREAT didn't look good in his only local start, and his overall form hasn't been sharp either - rail helps,
but not sure it'll be enough to make him any kind of player.
RACE 6 - (2) YES was reunited with his favorite trainer as he returned to the area last week and was very
sharp in winning, even if vs. lesser - has faced (and beaten) much better than these in the past, and looks
like he may be headed in that direction again - Stratton more than capable of filling in for Holland here. (5)
TAD KRAZY HANOVER has been behaving herself every week, but has been trapped on the cones (with
no real chance) as well - would be a good time for Kakaley to feed her some racetrack and see what she can
do....good one to use in exotics. (6) LIMERENCE looked like a live player vs. better last week but he left
poorly and then got stuck first over - most of his recent efforts would make him a very legit player in here,
and he should be a better price now...consider. (4) RACEACE beat these handily 2 back but he broke in the
pocket last week, and now moves to a new barn (after spending time with two of our leading trainers) -
hard to say what we'll see from him tonight. (3) GETTIN MESSI looked really good trouncing cheaper 2
back but was unable to build on that win last week - on his best, he'd be a threat for a good piece...but he
just hasn't been consistent for a while. (1) FREDDIE MAC was very sharp beating cheaper 2 back, but then
was no factor at all (moving up) in last - maybe the move inside can help him grab a small piece? (7) ZOO
MING is still capable at the NW7500 level but this field has some solid trotters, and he draws outside all of
them - tough spot. (8) TOTAL DIVA tired 2 back, broke in last, and now has Post 8 - pass for now
RACE 7 - M Life Rewards Gents Pacing Series -(4) RETOUR AU JEU has just been terrific since
returning in January (on Lasix) from a 2 month freshening - has shown both excellent speed and stamina
and comes into this seeking 3 straight...and there's a good chance he can get it. (5) SAILBOAT HANOVER
was a winner at PcD on 2/28 then grabbed 2nd here 3 days later, holding well as the sensational DRAGON
SAID pulled away from the field - should be a solid player again tonight...especially with a full week's rest
this time! (2) SALT LIFE was used very hard last and only tired near the end....and that was his first start in
2+ months - could be tighter tonight, should be able to work out a good trip, and is definitely one to include
in exotics. (6) GOT THE MOJO was well meant in Round 1 but was used way too hard in his YR debut
and tired in the stretch - draws outside his main rivals here, but a more conservative steer may still allow
him to take home a good piece. (7) SCOOTNROLL was an easy winner in the first leg but it was off a
perfect trip, in a somewhat lesser division - will need to be even better to even grab a piece from Post 7
tonight. (8) PANTHER TIME needed all kinds of urging on the lead last week to keep rolling, and couldn't
keep it going into the stretch - barn is on a serious tear right now, but this guy will need to be a lot better to
even get a piece from out here. Both (1) ROCKN ROLLS SHADOW & (3) WINDEMERE FRANK will
need to improve significantly to threaten even for a piece
RACE 8 - Very tough race! (2) SHOWMEYOURGUNS has been idle for 3 weeks but raced well in both
2021 starts prior to that - barn sent out a sharp winner in Tuesday's finale, so maybe they'll have this guy
primed for a big effort too. (3) CYCLONE MAXIMUS is strictly a guess here - his lines suggest that he's
gone sour, but he beat this class (from Post 8!) with Stratton back in Dec., and anything close to that effort
would give him a big chance tonight. (5) KOLIN was last seen here in 2019, when he was 1st and 2nd in
two Excelsior A races - lands in a new barn upon arrival from Ohio, gets a big driver switch to Bartlett and
would be no surprise at all. (4) MAJESTIC KAT was hammered at the windows for her local debut 2 back
but got leg weary late and weakened to 3rd - was 3rd again in last, but against a pair of rivals hat would be
favored against these - another possibility. (1) WINNERESS had been disappointing until finding a field he
could beat 2 back - no prayer from Post 8 (up in class) last week, but the move all the way inside stamps
him as yet another live player in this evenly matched group. (6) CON AIR HALL has been using his speed
to set himself up with good trips...and take home good pieces - might be tougher tonight with the move
outside, though. (7) DIRTY SECRET fits nicely with these but may be hard pressed to work out a
manageable trip from Post 7. (8) THE ROYAL POZE wants a better post, in an easier field
RACE 9 - (1) MACMORRIS HANOVER took a couple of months off but qualified back nicely for a solid
trotting barn, and his out of town lines suggest he'll be a good fit here - if he's a price, don't hesitate to give
this newcomer a chance. (4) SKY CASTLES looked terrible in his last start here in Dec. and took some
time off after that - last effort (in NJ) looks more like it, and on his best he'd be a legitimate threat here -
may be overbet, though. (5) CASH ME OUT has been inconsistent lately, but should have some confidence
off that last front end win at Stga. - anything close to his best would make him very dangerous at this
reduced level, but he's not one to fall in love with if the price is too short. (8) SVF CASH DEPOSIT might
have been the top choice had he not drawn Post 8 - he's really elevated his game since joining his current
barn, but it's hard to say if he'll be able to get involved from out here - maybe check the tote board for
clues? (2) DRAZZMATAZZ shipped in with much sharper lines than we're used to seeing from him, but he
failed to threaten at all in his YR return - not writing him off after one dull start...but sticking with others at
least for tonight. (3) FOMOR has been somewhat of a disappointment, with his only local win coming at
the bottom level, all out on the lead - small piece only. (6) LUCKY ARNOLD has really improved since
the barn change 3 back, but he draws outside and loses Jordan - tough spot. (7) LADY EAGLE draws
outside off a troubled mile and subsequent qualifier - pass, and watch
RACE 10 - If you ran this race 8X, you'd probably get six different winners! (3) MILLWOOD BONNIE N
seems like a good value play - tightened up with that 8 hole try 2 back, then rallied nicely to be a close 3rd
(vs. older mares) in last - barn has had a few perk up in a big way recently, so maybe she can trip out and
take the finale. (2) ACEFORTYFOUR DOME went her best mile last week since returning from the layoff
- if she can build on that, she'll be a legit threat tonight. (6) VICIOUS CIRCLE made a BIG move before
tiring 3 back when sent off favored, off the layoff - somehow was 21-1 in her very next start, and used her
big move at the right time to swoop the field to victory - was able to win again in last, but was just "ok" off
a perfect trip - have to respect, but don't take a short price tonight. (8) DANCE CLUB just conceded from
Post 8 last week and may do the same tonight...but if the wagering suggests that she's "live" this week, you
may want to include her on some of your tickets. (1) MAN DONTFORGET ME would be hard to leave out
of your exotics from the rail (she's 6-0-3-2 locally), but that zero in the win column makes her hard to use
on top at a short price. (4) TIPPERARY HILL had been "sneaky sharp" coming into her last so it was no
surprise to see her come up big (took a tough beat right on the wire after doing all the heavy lifting) - can't
blame anybody looking to use her again tonight. (5) OFF THE PRESS has gone several nice miles here,
and is yet another with a chance IF things go her way. (7) ASHTINI has won here in the past and returns
here off a win at Fhd. - the fact that she's mentioned so far down here is proof as to how evenly matched
this bunch is!
